Joey McConnell's entriesGabriel IVWEIGHT: 100kgs DIMENSIONS: 105 x 80 x 30 cm SHAPE: Elongated triangular pyramid with steep rear and very shallow front COLOUR: Yellow body, black flipper, black shapes on either side and shiny silver skirts and spikes. DRIVE: 2 C40-300 Magmotors run at 36v from 4 NiMh packs, driving two rear wheels with urethane rubber treads for grip on the arena floor. The motors should survive at 36v due to a 300A current limit and the use of timing belts in the speed reduction, which should slip if the wheel locks up and therefore save the motor. SPEED: 18mph TURNING CIRCLE: Zero (well, due to the wheels being at the back it's not exactly zero, but it turns on the spot) GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at the very front point, rising to 14mm at the rear. Side and rear 3mm 2014 aluminium skirts can be fitted giving 0 all around. ARMOUR: The whole top and internal subframes are constructed from a 5mm titanium/vanadium alloy monocoque, which is double skinned in a few key areas like the nose for extra ramming and structural strength, with first line impact reducing 7mm welded HDPE armour over the top of that. The base is 5mm 2014 T6 aluminium and is recessed somewhat into the bodyshell/chassis for added protection if flipped. The front nose has an additional layer of 2mm spring steel over it which is sprung down to the ground to get underneath other robots. WEAPONS: A forward hinged pneumatic flipper of the same design as its predecessor's, but modified somewhat; it's powered by an 80mm custom built ram that can operate at up to 2400psi, the actual operating pressure being determined by what gas is connected and from there controlled from the transmitter by a variable regulator, so the flipper runs on anything from 150psi to full pressure CO2 (750-800psi) to, if the tournament rules and assorted conditions allow, full pressure nitrogen (2400psi). The standard gas supply is a 2kg bottle of CO2 giving around 10-15 uses at full pressure with more on low pressure. (If I use anything other than that, I'll state it on entry) The front spikes either side of the nose pointing sideways have been made slightly smaller to not get in the way as much, are made from hardened tool steel, and should cause a fair bit of damage should I go into thwackbot mode. SRIMECH: Via weapon, which can self right at any pressure. The back has spikes to prevent stranding, and because of the body shape it is very unlikely to do a Mute when self righting. NOTES: Where possible, components are shock mounted to cut down on damage from spinner impacts. STRENGTHS: Difficult to get a grip on due to the shape, low centre of gravity, extremely good weapon that shouldn't waste gas, quite powerful and generally very tough. WEAKNESSES: The Smiths ---- MagnitudeWEIGHT: 110kgs DIMENSIONS: 120 x 95 x 30 cm SHAPE: Wedge with rear wedge and Pure Evil esque sloping pointed sides COLOUR: Dark brown with purple streaks and blades, 'Magnitude' in black on the rear wedge DRIVE: 2 C40-300 Magmotors run at 24v from 5 NiMh packs, driving custom built inner tracks made from 2014 aluminium and stainless steel pins with urethane rubber bonded to the track links for grip on the arena floor. SPEED: 14mph GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at the front due to the flipper blade and tusk, there are two prongs at the sides of this blade attached to it that help in getting underneath skirted opponents. The clearance under the armour is 10mm protected by 3mm 2014 aluminium skirts at the remaining five sides and rear. ARMOUR: 3.25mm Hardox over a stainless steel box section frame, baseplate is 5mm 2014 aluminium WEAPONS: The entire front wedge is a rear hinged pneumatic flipper, which can be run from a variety of systems (1000psi nitrogen being the norm but can be changed, if it's different it will be stated by me on entry) but whichever gas is being used it is stored in a 2.2kg tank which gives around 10-15 flips per fight, fed into a 120mm bore nonattached full pressure ram that provides about 8 tonnes of force at 1000psi, taking into account leverage and losses from friction and such, this works out for the eventual lifting force at...um...enough. Positioned inside the front of the wedge is a small titanium 'tusk' (think Beast Of Bodmin's weapon, but pointier and sticking out quite a bit more) which is actuated by an electric linear actuator on a 4 bar mechanism. This is Magnitude's main getting underneath opponents tool, it can be lowered so as to actually lift the front of the machine off the ground and drive the tusk into the arena floor with the weight of the front of the robot, which helps to get in underneath skirts and hinged wedges, and when raised it can get opponents' wheels off the ground in order to get further underneath them for a big flip. SRIMECH: The flipper. The angling of the sides and rear prevents stranding. NOTES: Most of the internal components where practical have been shockproofed to protect from spinner impacts, as has the front flipper panel. STRENGTHS: Effective at breaching skirts and other wedges, good weaponry, fast and durable WEAKNESSES: Ground type; weak to Water, Grass, and Ice, may not affect Flying ---- STATWEIGHT: 100kgs DIMENSIONS: 115 x 70 x 20 cms (not counting the wheels but including the spike) SHAPE: Invertible brick with wheels protected from the side DRIVE: 2 Husqvarna 3120XP petrol chainsaw engines, one for each side of the drive, modified somewhat to lose excess weight with expansion tubes fitted to increase their power, to a peak of about 10hp each at high speeds, which translates roughly into lots and lots of torque when geared down suitably. These engines drive through belts six 340mm diameter go-kart wheels with puncture proof foam rubber tyres that provide very good traction and a degree of suspension, coated with silicone rubber for ultimate grippyness. BATTERIES: 1 4ah NiMh pack that powers the reciever and control electronics/servos for the engine throttle and failsafes SPEED: 25mph GROUND CLEARANCE: 70mm all around, even when inverted ARMOUR: Most of the body (front. rear, sides and base) is an 8-14mm titanium monocoque construction with Weldox and polypropylene reinforcing at certain weak areas, with the top cover being made of 5mm carbon fibre/polypropylene honeycomb material over a 6mm polycarbonate sheet. WEAPONS: A single front 15cm hardened S7 tool steel spike, reinforced and shock mounted from within the chassis and sharpened to a dangerous point at the end, used for impaling other robots' armour and pushing them around with. The spike is adjustable so it can point downwards if the opponent is lower than 17cm. SRIMECH: Invertible, polycarbonate 'ears' prevent it resting on its side or rear NOTES: Components are heavily shockproofed to withstand the force of its own and others' attacks. Innards are protected by aluminium foil to reduce the fire risk STRENGTHS: Lots of power, high ground clearance means it will not be affected by driving on wedges, and combined with the wheels means it can probably drive over the top of robots even if there are spikes there to stop that WEAKNESSES: Some peoples' eternal belief that petrol engines catch fire at the slightest hint of the flame pit. (they don't) ---- N³WEIGHT: 100kgs DIMENSIONS: 110 x 80 x 30 (50 with arm raised) cm SHAPE: Same as the previous version; the front is a trapezoid wedge with sloping sides, similar to Lightning from series 7. The rear is one continuous quarter sphere. COLOUR: Dark maroon and dark green chevrons, darker towards the front, and this time with (also rather dark) Mouser Mecha Catbot/Raizer Blade style cyborg artwork at various points. DRIVE: The main drive comes from a hydrostatic system, powered by a 7.2hp 80cc Stihl disc cutter engine driving two separate hydraulic pumps, one of which runs at 1200psi and uses proportional valve gear to control speed and direction of the two hydrostatic drive motors, and the other running on a different gear reduction at 3000psi to power the weapon rams through standard hydraulic fittings. There are many advantages to using this system; basically N³ not only has a considerable amount more torque and pushing ability than standard electrically powered robots, it can deliver that torque at both very low and very high speeds, plus all those in between, and still have extremely precise and easy control. To put this in real world terms, look at The Big Cheese, which I got a lot of details for this from; it could drive around hanging a robot from the end of the arm and have no loss of speed or control. Basically this isn't going to bog down when pushing or be outpushed most of the time by other machines; this is serious power. The drive is through tank style steering and two wheels located just in front of the centre of the robot, as before, this means it turns around the front as oppposed to around the the rear and has two ball transfer units at the rear to maintain stability. The wheels have a layer of urethane rubber on for traction. SPEED: Average 12mph, maximum is around 30mph. Control and power is constant at all speeds due to the hydrostatic drive. GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at front due to the forks, 0-10mm elsewhere ARMOUR: 3mm (6mm on front wedge) titanium/10% vanadium alloy over a stainless steel box section frame, welded into a continuous shell save for the shock mounted front wedge so there are no individual panels to be ripped off, and 10mm polycarb used for both the menacing 'eyes' located in the sides and behind the main armour in places where vital components like the petrol tank and hydraulic cables need to be protected. The base is 5mm 2014 aluminium. WEAPONS: 1) Inside the front wedge are a pair of hydraulic lifting forks, shaped somewhat like a cross between Panic Attack's and Haardvark's, these are constructed from hardened steel, stick out a bit beyond the front wedge and are capable of lifting around half a tonne easily. These are used to hold opponents on the front wedge for... 2) Sticking out of the front wedge is a hydraulically powered (via a 92mm bore/70mm piston dia ram) crushing arm, which has sharp spines on it, constructed from 5mm spaceframe Hardox with 1.5mm titanium/10% vanadium alloy sheet covering and tipped with a hardened tool steel point, running from a hydraulic ram located behind it similar to Executioner, giving about 8 tonnes of force at the tip of the arm. The aim of the weapons is more to lift opponents (preventing them from getting any traction on the arena floor), clamping them, and taking them to be deposited in the Bank Of Pit, than for extreme crushing damage. SRIMECH: The top of the robot and the top of the crushing arm have a rollover shape (think M2/Mega Morg) that should allow it to roll over onto its wheels if it gets tipped over. If for any reason the rolling over doesn't work, like it getting up against a wall, moving the crushing arm should change the balance enough to allow it to self right. NOTES: Internals are shockproofed where possible to reduce shock damage from impacts and spinners, and fireproofed to minimise the chance of fire, with aluminium foil heat shields and careful placing of any petrol carrying components. THANKS TO: Leo van Miert and Aaron Knight for explaining the technology to me and furthering my knowledge of hydrostatics, and to Martijn Benschop for calculating the ram size for the hydraulic crusher. Cheers guys. STRENGTHS: Very powerful, hydrostatic drive gives torque head and shoulders above most other vapourbots. Decent armour, good weapons synergy, and generally a tough machine. WEAKNESSES: Someone jamming a potato in the engine exhaust

----
Next Stop, Jupiter
Weight: 100kg Shape: Warrior SKF, with a wedge extension on the front. Colour: Colours of the planet Jupiter, duh. Dimensions: 100 X 81 X 21 cm Power: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v, powered by several NiCad Batteries, shock-proofed. Wheels: 2 X Aluminium Wheels with Urethane Rubber for superb grip Armour: 3.5mm Hardox for the wedge, 7mm Ti/V for top and bottom, 5mm hardox for the rim Speed: Roughly 13 mph Ground Clearance: Obviously 0mm for the front, and 6mm for anywhere else Turning Circle: Zero Weapon: A nasty 27kg spinning rim powered by an LEM-130 Lynch, and spinning at 2000RPM. It also has 8 X hardox teeth on board. (Four on top, Four on Bottom) The rim can deliver some VERY nasty damage to another opponent. It can slice through titanium, and dent hardox without any problems. The motor is shock-mounted, to avoid killing itself from its own hits. The rim can also transfer its energy to the front kinetic flipper, thanks to a clutch. This flipper has a wedge extension which is nearly impossible to get under. The flipper can also throw robots with HUGE force. Can you say, OOTA?! Srimech: Yes, it can run inverted... BUT the flipper can right the robot if needed. Strengths: Can cause some EXTREME damage, Powerful Flipper, Shock-Proofed, A good all-rounder. Weaknesses: A bit slow
----
Blue Hurricane
Weight: 100kg Shape: Disc Dimensions: 88 X 88 X 27 Colour: Royal Blue for the sides, and a nice shade of midnight blue for the top and bottom. Power: 2 X LEM-130's @ 36v, with a couple of NiCad Batteries. Wheels: Two Aluminium Wheels with a nice layer of Asmaprene Urethane on it. Armour: 3.25mm Hardox for top and bottom, and 11mm Grade 5 Titanium for the sides. Top Speed: 13 mph Ground Clearance: 5mm Everywhere. Turning Circle: Zero! Need I say more?! Weapon: OK, the weapon is a nasty 32kg spinning rim, which is made out of 11mm Grade 5 Titanium, with 4 X Tungsten-tipped teeth. (2 teeth on bottom, and 2 on top) The teeth are all made out of hardox, and also curved to rip off skirts and panels with ease. It also runs on a single LEM-130 Lynch, and spins at about 2000RPM. This can rip through titanium and dent hardox quite easily. Shock-Proofed to protect itself from attacks. Srimech: Invertible Strengths: Can be very damaging Weaknesses: Not the best pushing power by a long shot

Maximum Genocide
Shape: Triangle, ala Y-Pout Weight: 100kg Dimensions (l x w x h): 78cm x 90cm x 12cm Motivation: 3 x internal hardox wheels, one in each point, 125mm in diameter. Drive: 3 x S24-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to make a Y-Drive, one powering each wheel Armour: 4mm hardox monocoque plus internal shockproofing Weaponry: At each point of the triangle there are curved tungsten carbide claws that catch onto other robots when the robot spins with the Y-drive, but this is only part of the weapon. On top of the robot there is a horizontal Tornado-Mer style spinning blade, powered another 3 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 3 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks to reach top speeds of 2500rpm in 2 seconds, as the blade weighs 25kg. It spins in the opposite direction to the robot, and is 90cm long so it reaches out 5cm each point, exactly the same as the claws so that there is a huge amount of damage caused. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: It’s a Y-Drive Ground Clearance: 10mm Srimech: Gyroscopic forces ala Tornado Mer will act on the blade, flipping it back over Colour: Black with yellow stripes, the claws are red to look like blood, as is the blade. Strengths: Powerful weaponry Weaknesses: Can’t push anything
----
LockJaw v3
Shape: Triangles at either side where the wheels would normally be, then on the right of the left triangle and on the left of the right triangle imagine a vertical claw. Then add a scoop in between the claws and put a third claw in the middle of the scoop, built into the scoop so it is invisible until it opens wider or closes. Weight: 100kg Length: 55cm Width: 90cm Height: 20cm (with claws shut) / 45cm (with claws fully open) Motivation: The triangles at either end of the robot are wheel pods, as in each one is a 6mm hardox wheel with a vulcanised tyre. The wheels are both 220mm in diameter and mostly protected, but exposed from the three sides of the triangle. This allows it to run anyway up, but without having to put the drive in reverse. Drive: 2 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 4 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks Armour: As it’s an axlebot there isn’t much armour, but the wheel pods are made of 6mm hardox, and the 1cm scoop is made of grade 2 titanium. Weaponry: The two outer claws are fast, but not powerful. They are each powered by an overvolted Litton motor @ 36v for fast grabbing. They merely hold the opponent in place while the middle claw comes into play, powered by hydraulics from a vivoil pump actuated by an S28-400 magmotor @ 24v running at 3000psi (5000psi if the tournament permits it). This claw can crunch through thin hardox and itself is made of tungsten carbide with serrated edges like the other two. The claws can open wider if the opponent is too high for them to grab. When they do this they dig their bottom prong into the ground ala Big Nipper, meaning they can get under 0 ground clearance, but nothing will get under them. This will not only be used against tall robots, but flippers or other wedges. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front, less than zero if the claws open fully. It’s an axlebot though so doesn’t really have much of a ground clearance. Srimech: The robots runs exactly the same when flipped upside down, I don’t even have to put the drive in reverse due to the triangular wheel pods giving it three drive positions. Colour: Unpainted Strengths: Unique, flipping it does nothing Weaknesses: Tricky to control
----
Elizabeth
Shape: Cylinder like Barberous, but with a plough on the front. The plough has a slit down halfway down the middle to allow the other weapon through. Weight: 100kg Length: 60cm (without blade, 150cm with blade) Width: 95cm Height: 25cm Motivation: 2 x 7mm hardox wheels either side of the main body, each is 26cm in diameter and they are protected by armour. Drive: 2 x PERM PMG 080 motors run @ 36v from 6 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks Armour: All the outer armour is one piece of 5mm hardox, this includes the front plough, which is then connected to the triangular wheel guards at either side of the robot. The cylinder itself is 4mm titanium/vanadium alloy, but that is very hard to reach given the surrounding armour. Weaponry: The robot can use all 18HP of push in the drive and the plough on the front to ram other robots around, but housed inside the drum-shaped body is a T6 aluminium vertical disc, which is not a weapon itself, but powered by a Briggs & Stratton E-Tek at 60v. The disc is not visible, the important part is connected to the disc is a huge Overkill-style blade, 90cm long and made of tungsten carbide with a serrated edge for extra damage. It can produce 3Kj per hit and potentially hit up to 3 times per second meaning it racks up 9Kj of energy in a second and if it can pin an opponent against the wall with the plough it could potentially hit opponents for large amounts of time and cause huge damage even to hardox-protected machines. Also either side of the end of the blade are two tungsten spikes part of the blade itself so they can’t get ripped off. These allow it to spin on the spot and act as a thwackbot, producing a few Kj of energy even then. Speed: 25mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plough, 1cm elsewhere Srimech: The blade does that Colour: Black with blood stains Strengths: Powerful weaponry, tough outer armour Weaknesses: Weak body armour, too fast to properly control
----
Apocalypse II
Weight: Roughly 100kg Shape: Box wedge with sloped sides, ala Storm II. The front wedge is angled at 30* to get under opponents, and the sides are sloped at 42* to deflect spinners. The rear is rounded for easier self-righting. Length: 80cm Width: 60cm Height: 15cm Motivation: 2 x internal HDPE wheels, each are 125mm in diameter and they have vulcanised tyres for extra grip, plus they are mounted like Tazbot’s for more manouevrability. They are in the front of the robot so that the front turns rather than the rear, ala Merlin. Drive: 2 x S28-400 magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks; this should provide about 9 horsepower. Armour: 3.2mm hardox monocoque for the most part, strengthened in certain key areas with extra 5mm titanium/vanadium alloy sheeting. Weaponry: The robot is a decent pusher, but on top there are three sets of Mute-style barbs, one on each side and one running down the flipper arm. These are tungsten tipped to allow it to trap robots on top, and once their stuck on top they can’t get free. The second weapon is what I use to get rid of the robot stuck on the barbs. It is a Bio-Hazard style 4-bar flipping arm, but unlike Bio-Hazard it is run off full pressure pneumatics, meaning it will easily throw robots out of the arena. It is 30cm wide and runs down the centre of the robot, made of 4mm hardox and powered by a 120mm x 100mm bore stroke ram @ 750psi from a 1.5kg gas bottle, giving it about 10 flips per round, which should be enough. On the front of the flipper arm there is a strip of 8mm grade 2 titanium, which should aid in getting under the other robots Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 8mm at sides and rear, but this is protected by 5mm titanium torsion-sprung skirts made of grade 2 titanium. Turning Circle: Using the skid steer system ala Razer gives Apocalypse II a 0 turning circle Srimech: The 4-bar flipper can right it in less than a second, but to conserve gas there is an electric srimech hinged at the rear of the robot. This is the two strips of barbs on either side of the machine lifting up to vertical via a Bosch 750w motor run @ 28.8v from a NiCad battlepack. This rights the robot in 1 second, and can also be used offensively to tip opponents stuck on the barbs into the pit Colour: This new Apocalypse keeps the colour scheme of the old one, with dark blue bodywork and a red weapon. Strengths: Powerful weaponry, unique strategy Weaknesses: Limited gas for the flipper

Christopher Mason's entries
Orka RV
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Basic Invertible box-wedge shape. 1m long, 0.8m wide, 0.3m at maximum height. Speed: Some 15mph TC: 0 GC: 8mm, 0mm at front. Wheels; 6 inner Armour; 7mm titanium Power; 3x 12v batteries, powered by S28-400 Magmotors, at 24v. Colour; Black with white patches Weapons; A pneumatic CO2 powered flipping arm that spans most of the robots length. It can throw some 400 kilos and has about 50 flips. Although the arm itself is quite narrow (about half the robot width), the flipper plate expands the full width. Srimech: It's a both-er. It can run inverted AND self-right using the arm. Inspiration; I've always liked Orcas. Adding the K made it sound more dangerous. Strengths; Weapon Weaknesses: Hard to turn
----
Die-Reverta-Tops
Weight; 100 kilos Body Shape: A variation on the Wedge shape...it's sort of shaped like Spawn Again, but is more closely sized to Firestorm. Speed; 15mph TC; 0 GC; 0mm at front, 10mm at sides and back. Wheels; 4 inner Armour; 8mm titanium Power; 3x 12v batteries, powered by S28-400 Magmotors, at 24v. Colour; Green, with Killer Carrot style wrinkles, mouth and eyes. One of the eyes has a plaster over it, the other is a black eye. A few bandages are painted on this time. Weapons: A large pneumatic rear-hinged CO2 flipper, capable of flipping a tonne or so. Mounted on the flipper, and powered by its own Bosch motor, is a roller. This is designed to thrust the robot out of the way of opponents when flipped over, so it can self-right safely. This feature, I believe, is unique. Srimech; It uses the flipper to self-right. Inspiration; I've always liked Dinosaurs. Strengths; Completely revamped, now much easier to control, turn and should flip harder. Weaknesses: Still very much experimental.
----
Mega Masher 2
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: A Triangle shape, a bit like Inshredable (from Series 6). 0.85m in length and width, and 0.35m at its highest point. The sides are heavily angled, a bit like UFO in S7, only more so. Speed: 15mph TC: 0 GC; 0 at front, 6mm elsewhere. Wheels; 6 inner, arranged in a 3-wheel-a-side formation. This means that four wheels are always on the ground at any one time. Armour: A nice 3.25mm Hardox, all over. Power: 3x 12v batteries, plus Bosch 750's at 36v. Colour: Red and yellow. Weapons; The front is a wedge, and the back has a nasty vertical titanium 35cm in diameter disc, powered by its own LEM130 motor and spinning at 2'000 rpm. It can probably flip as well as damage. Srimech: The robot can run inverted, with the sheer angling at the sides making stranding near impossible. Inspiration; This is probably the only robot I have where I have had no inspiration. It just came as a good name. Strengths: Power, weaponry Weaknesses: New and untested design.
----
Y5
Weight: 99 kilos Body Shape: T-Minus Speed: 16mph TC: 0 GC: 8mm Wheels: 2 semi outer (that means they're protected) Armour: 5mm steel on body, 9mm titanium on wheel guards. Power: The usual 3x 12v batteries and couple Magmotors (S28-400s) for power. Colour: Grey Weapons: Two Pussycat-style cutting blades, each powered by their own Bosch motor. They can spin at 4000rpm. Srimech: The robot can run inverted. Inspiration: Wouldn't know. Strengths: Easy to control, good speed. Weaknesses: Semi exposed wheels.

Fitted with Biohazard-style skirts on sides and rear, giving 0mm ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive POWER- 2 X LEM-130s; 2 x 12v 3amp NiCad packs, giving 36v @ 12amp WEAPONS- As usual, the main weapon is a rear-hinged flipper. This is very similar to Chaos 2, except the blade at the bottom is bent ala Bigger Brother, allowing the flipper to have greater effect against bots with skirts or low centres of gravity. The flipper itself is powered by 2 X 80mm high pressure pneumatic rams, each running at 250psi. This should allow Wedge Devo to comfortably flip up to 1 tonne. SRIMECH- The flipper can right the machine easily and the rear wedge should hopefully prevent a Chaos-style "self-flip". Also, Wedge Devo is equipped with a grey semi-sphere on either side of robot to prevent it getting stuck on its side NOTES- flashing red light on top of robot, flies Scotland flag STRENGTHS- powerful flipper, fast, manoeuvrable, difficult to get underneath, tough armour, good traction WEAKNESSES- could prove a bit tricky to control, limited CO2 (like all other flippers ) ---- Killotine: EVOSHAPE- compact box-wedge ala Storm 2, rounded back COLOUR- red WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 70cm X 35cm SPEED- 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front with spatula, 10mm at sides and back. Skirts at sides and back produce 0mm. ARMOUR- 3.25mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 4WD POWER- 2 X LEM-130s; 2 x 12v 3amp NiCad packs, giving 36v @ 12amp WEAPONS- The main weapon is the large pneumatic axe, composed of 3.5mm hardox. It is very similar to that of Killerhurtz and operates with a rack-and-pinion system like Terrorhurtz. Running on 160psi, the axe runs off an 80mm X 20mm ram and stores its gas in a 2kg main bottle and 1kg buffertank. If anything goes wrong with the axe, Killotine can use its great pushing power to simply ram its opponents to death. SRIMECH- The axe. Even if it’s already been fired while flipped, the axe can right itself ala Killerhurtz. Also, just like the original Killotine, the machine has a rounded back and a red semi-sphere on either side of robot to stop it getting beached. NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, thanks to Tom, Aaron & AJ for helping with the design STRENGTHS- Fast, dangerous weapon, good amount of traction, difficult to get under, quick srimech, nice and fast WEAKNESSES- so-so turning, limited gas supply ---- Venus Fly TrapSHAPE- wedge with sloped rear COLOUR- green with an ugly great mouth WEIGHT- 100kg, I hope DIMENSIONS- 110cm X 70cm X 30cm SPEED- 12mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 8mm ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox MOVEMENT- four inner wheels POWER- 2 x C40-500 MagMotors. These will run at 36v and produce approximately 12hp. WEAPONS- a large electric lifting plate fitted with barbs ala Mute. The idea is that the plate slides under an opponent and the barbs catch the wheels. The plate then lifts up and clamps the opponent onto the wedge. The plate is powered by an S28-400 MagMotor geared 250:1 for smooth and quick movement. To ensure it won't tip over trying to lift an opponent, Venus is fitted with a pair of long static forks on the front, made from 4mm Hardox. SRIMECH- a separate electric arm on the wedge. Powered by a separate S28-400 MagMotor geared 250:1 for quick and easy self-righting. NOTES- flies Scotland flag, thanks to Martijn and AJ for helping with the design STRENGTHS- good traction, tough shell, fairly manoueverable, unique weapon WEAKNESSES- untested weapon, exposed ground clearance, potentially vulnerable spikes ---- Mornington CrescentSHAPE- flat cylinder COLOUR- white, with the London Underground sign for "Mornington Crescent" on the top and bottom WEIGHT- approx 100kg DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 20cm SPEED- 12mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 8mm ARMOUR- 3.5mm Hardox MOVEMENT- 4 x inner wheels POWER- 2 x S28-400 Magmotors, running at 24v WEAPONS- Mornington Crescent is armed with not one, but TWO outer spinning rings, one on top of the other. The top ring spins anticlockwise, while the bottom ring spins clockwise. Each ring has four teeth and weighs about 10kg. The rings are powered by an LEM-130 running at 36v each and can reach speeds of 1500rpm. The two rings spinning in alternate directions should also help the robot be easier to drive - theoretically, anyway. SRIMECH- invertible NOTES- flies Scotland flag, thanks to Joey and Andy for helping with stats STRENGTHS- two spinners for the price of one, nippy, manoueverable, tough, more controlled than regular ring spinners WEAKNESSES- wheels open to axes and crushers, unpredictable bouncing?

Daniel Stickler's entriesMonsoon SeasonDimensions (L x W x H): 90cm x 80cm x 35cm Shape: Box wedge, slanted sides and steep rear wedge. Colour: The main body shell is black, with the flipper/ramming plate in bright green. The sides of the machine have skulls drawn on them in the same colour green as the flipper/ramming plate. Weight: 110kg Drive: 2 x LEM130s running at 36v, powered by a bunch of 36v NiCads. Top Speed: Approx 15mph. Tracks: This version of Monsoon has tracks instead of wheels, therefore allowing me to have an extra 10kg of weight in the machine. The tracks are made from Titanium/Vanadium alloy and have Vulcalon pads on every section of track in order to fully incorporate grip on the arena floor. Armour: The baseplate is 5mm Titanium. The main body shell is constructed from a single piece of 30mm HDPE. The flipper/ramming plate is made from 4mm Hardox and covers the whole of the front of the machine. Weaponry: At the front of the machine is a 4mm Hardox flipper/ramming plate, similar in style to Atomic from Series 7 of Robot Wars. The flipper/ramming plate is powered by 2 x 80mm bore 60mm stroke pneumatic rams, run off CO2 gas contained at 1000psi. The gas is held in 3 x 1.1kg CO2 gas canisters inside the robot, and should allow for plenty of flips in a battle (roughly 35 flips). The front of the machine can also be used as a ramming plate, allowing Monsoon Season to use its enormous pushing power as well as the ability to flip its opponents clean out of the arena. Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 7mm at sides and back. Srimech: Flipper. ---- Dervish: The l337 GenerationDimensions (L x W x H): 40cm x 100cm x 40cm Shape: Axlebot with triangular wheels guards… look at the CAD. ;D Unlike the CAD, the outsides of the wheel guards come to a slight point in the centre so the robot cannot rest on its side. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors running at 36v, powered by some 36v NiCad batteries. Top Speed: 10mph Wheels: 2 x custom made Titanium wheel hubs with Vulcalon tires for grip. The wheels are 8cm wide. Armour: Each wheel guard is made from 4mm Hardox monocoque section. The beater is made from a single piece of Titanium 10cm thick. Weapon: In the middle of the robot is a spinning beater made from a thick piece of Titanium. The beater is 40cm long and 10cm wide, with the centre of it being cut out, leaving a 10cm thick gap throughout the beater. In total the beater weighs roughly 22kgs. The beater is powered by a LEM130 lynch motor, geared appropriately to give a top speed of 1500RPM. Can you say, ouch?! ;D Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 0mm when moving forwards due to the corners of the wheel guards going along the floor when it moves forward. 6mm when reversing. Srimech: Invertible. ---- LowDownDimensions (L x W x H): The main body is 70cm x 40cm x 8cm Shape: Invertible box with an angled < shaped back end and large bolts on the side to stop stranding. Colour: The main shell is red, with the edges painted white. Lifting forks are red with white dots spray painted randomly over them. Weight: Around 100kg, maybe a couple of kgs lighter. Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors running at 24v, powered by NiCads. Top Speed: About 12mph. Wheels: 6 x 10cm diameter wheels made from Titanium/Vanadium alloy and coated with Vulcalore. The robot has 3 wheels on each side, with the power going directly to the middle wheels. Each set of wheels is linked with a heavy duty rubber belt. Armour: 4mm Hardox all over the machine bolted directly to the chassis (which is made from mild steel tubing) with thick Hardox bolts. Weaponry: A pair of electronic lifting forks powered by 2 x S28-400 Magmotors running at 36v. The Mags are on a 75:1 reduction and can be used even when flipped. The Mags are powered by some 36v NiCad batteries. The forks are made from 6cm Hardox, are 20cm long and are cone-shaped, with the point facing the front. Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 1cm all over. Srimech: Invertible. ---- MacBethDimensions (L x W x H): 85cm x 75cm x 40cm Shape: Invertible box, sides are slanted. The rear of the robot is completely vertical, like a normal box, but on the sides are two scooped blades that can be used when inverted. Colour: Bright yellow with dark yellow trim. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 x 750w Bosch motors running at 24v, powered by a bunch of 24v NiCad batteries. Top Speed: 20mph, but stays at a conservative 14mph. Wheels: 2 x 44cm diameter, 20cm wide Titanium/Vanadium alloy hubs, coated in Vulcalon for extra grip on the arena floor. Casters at the front of the machine (one on the top and one on the bottom) aid in manouverability and turning. Armour: The whole robot covered in 2cm Polypropylene (light but incredibly strong), and according to Matweb weighs a total of 34kg. The rear scooped blades are made from 1cm thick Aluminium alloy. Weaponry: At the front of the robot is a hefty spinning disc, 40cm in diameter and 3cm thick. It is made from Titanium and has 2 large Titanium blades attached to it, each weighing 5kg. In total the disc weighs 26kg. The weaponry is powered by a LEM130 Lynch motor at 36v geared down to the top speed of the blade is 1500RPM. The motor is powered by some 36v NiCads. The weapon is mounted differently compared to other horizontal spinners – it is placed on the underside of the robot so it can attack like an undercutter (like TopBot in RW). Turning Circle: 0m Ground Clearance: 4mm at front (protected by the spinner), 0mm at the back (due to the scooped blades) and 6mm at the sides. Srimech: Invertible.

Andrew Jackson's entriesThe Final CutWeight: 110kgs Shape: Two box shaped sections joined by horizontal parallel bars. This looks like an “I” from above. The picture below may help you to understand it. Colour: Sky blue, with a dark grey disc and red teeth. Length: 600mm Width: 975mm Height: 150mm Motivation: Two 70mm wide tracks made of 5mm thick Titanium/Vanadium alloy. Each track has Asmaprene urethane rubber pads on for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors running at 24v from NiMH batteries. Turning Circle: 0mm using a tank style steer. Speed: 18mph Ground Clearance: 5mm around the box sections and 10mm under the weapon support bars. Armour: 4mm Hardox for all of the panels and 10mm Hardox for the weapon. Weapons: A 725mm diameter horizontal flywheel with two cutting teeth. It is powered by two S28-400 Magmotors and spins at 2450rpm from a 2:1 ratio. It is 35kgs in weight and can provide around 70kJ of kinetic energy. Self-Righter: The Final Cut is completely invertible. Due to its shape it is very difficult to stack it on its sides. Notes: The weapon support bars are attached using shock mounted fixings to reduce the chances of the weapon harming its own internal components. ---- PsycloniZerShape: Cylindrical with an outer ring like Gyrobot, with three hammers protruding from the ring. Diameter: 700mm (900mm with hammers) Height: 175mm Weight: 100kgs Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v from 3600mAh NiCad battery packs, which gives about 9hp in the drive. This runs four Aluminium wheels with a Vulkolan tread for grip. Turning Circle: 0mm using a four-wheel drive skid steer system. Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: 10mm all the way round. Armour: 8mm thick Hardox for the rim and 3.25mm Hardox for the top and bottom armour. The hammers are also constructed out of Hardox. Weapon: A ~35kg spinning ring, like that on Gyrobot with three hammers extending horizontally outwards, supported to each other with a framework. The ring is powered by an LEM200 motor run at 48v and spins at 2500rpm. The ring should be capable of getting up to full speed in less than 3 seconds. This slams huge 80mm3 sharpened lumps of Hardox into the opponents at a force of around 108kJ. Self-righting mechanism: PsycloniZer is invertible. Notes: The framework supporting the hammers can also work as an anti-axe or crusher device. Internal components are shock mounted using urethane rubber to protect against its own hits. ---- Ge5orceWeight: 100kgs Shape: A long but low to the ground wedge shape, with a wheel pod either side at the rear end. The rear of the wedge is rounded slightly to prevent Ge5orce resting on its back. Please see the render below, thanks to Kody. Colour: Black wedge with silver wheel housing. Length: 900mm Width: 700mm Height: 250mm Motivation: There are two wheels, one either side of the wedge. They are made of Hardox and are 280mm in diameter. Each wheel has a Vulkolan tyre bonded to it for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v from 3600mAh NiCad battery packs. This gives around 9hp in the drive to push other robots around with if required. Turning Circle: 0m using a tank style steer. Speed: 16mph Ground Clearance: The front of the wedge is 0mm, while the sides are variable up to 15mm at the rear of the robot. Armour: The whole of the wedge is 3.25mm thick Hardox. The wheel pods are made of 6mm Titanium. Weapon: The whole wedge shape is used as a weapon in the same style as Wheely Big Cheese. This means that the wedge is hinged at the rear and the whole plate is used as a flip up. It is operated by a huge 100mm bore 180 stroke ram. This is fed by liquid CO2 at a pressure of 300psi producing approximately 1600kgs of force. The gas is contained in two 2.2kg canisters allowing for over 20 full power flips each fight. SRIMECH: The robot can run both ways up and the weaponry can also flip it back over if needed. ---- GehennaWeight: 100kgs Shape: A low to the ground wedge shape, with sloping sides and rear. Colour: Black bodywork with a dark blue flipper. Length: 800mm Width: 800mm Height: 200mm Motivation: Two 150mm diameter 30mm wide wheels made of Aluminium 7075. Each wheel has an Asmaprene urethane rubber tyre for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 2x S28-400 Magmotors running at 26.4v from 40x A123 Lithium-Ion cells. Turning Circle: 0mm using a tank style steer. Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front and variable leading to 10mm at the rear. Armour: The wedge is made of an 8mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy. The sides, rear and base are all 6mm Titanium/Vanadium. The flipper itself is made of 4mm Hardox. Weapons: The main weapon is a front-hinged flipper, like Firestorm and Envy. It is operated by an 80mm bore 100mm stroke ram. This is run at 145psi on CO2 and the gas is stored in a 2.2kgs canister. This should provide plenty of quick and powerful flips. The flipping plate has an edge to stop robots driving up and over the wedge shape. The secondary weapon is at the rear - it is a 650mm diameter horizontal spinning bar with a 2kg weight at each end. It is powered by an S28-400 Magmotor and spins at 2450rpm from a 2:1 ratio. It weighs 10kgs and is capable of dishing out 22kJ. Self-Righter: The flipper is used to self-right Gehenna. The sloping panels mean that it always lands on the flipper if inverted.

Martijn Benschop's entriesUnder PressureShape – Please look at the picture, lol. Its basically 2 huge claws with wheels between them. The claws have 2 tips each rather than 1 but this will be explained in the weapons department. Weight – 100 Kilogram Speed – 14 mph Dimensions – 90x150x20 cm Ground Clearance – Zero underneath the lower tips of both claws, quite big otherwise, its essentially an axlebot after all. Power – 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volt. Movement – 2 titanium wheels with strips of rubber glued on them. Turning Circle - Zero Weaponry – A pair of huge claws around a “main body”. The claws contain some of the internals though. They are powered by a Vivoil pump at 3000 PSI powered by a LEM-130 at 36V. The power is transferred through 70 mm (diameter) bore and a 60 mm (diameter) rod. This results in 3.5 tonnes of force at both tips. Now for the actual claws. As the picture tells, each claw has two “tips”; one at the bottom that’s shaped like a wedge and one fine point above that, please notice that when the two “wedges” touch each other due to the claws closing in, some distance between the fine points remains. The deal is that when the claws are activated the opponent is first scooped up by the 2 wedges scraping their way under the main body, thus lifting his wheels off the ground. Next the fine points come in and start piercing their way through the main body. This design cancels out the problem that most horizontal crushers have in that they cant completely dominate an opponent as long as the opponent maintains a level of grip on the surface. Armour – 5 mm titanium for the “main body” (the brown bit between the wheels), 3.5 mm Hardox for everything else (claws, ram, bore, and the bits of metal extended from the claws that go behind the ram to protect it from head-on attacks). Srimech – Invertible, though the weapons isn’t quite as effective when inverted. Strengths – Powerful horizontal crusher with a twist. ---- Sheer Heart Attack 2Shape – See picture, it’s a pair of tracks, joined by a drum. The front is higher than the back to fit on a more powerful weapon. Designed in such a way that the tracks remain in contact with the floor no matter what. Both tracks have their own private hinged invertible rear-wedge, with a little upright edge to prevent opponents from driving over the wedge straight against the track. The hinge is OVER the wheel hub rather than behind the main body. Weight – 110 Kilogram Speed – 29 km/h (18mph) Dimensions – 80*90*32 cm Ground Clearance – Zero underneath the tracks, but with an overhang, zero underneath the rear-wedge Power –2x LEM130s at 48v Movement – Two sturdy 15 mm titanium tracks, with rubber strips attached to them for traction Turning Circle - Zero Weaponry – A 30 kilogram titanium spinning drum, 28 cm in diameter, at the front of my machine equipped with 10 hardox teeth, powered by 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volt and spinning around at 3500 RPM, which produces 39 kJ. Sheer Heart Attack 2 also has 2 rear-wedges, one on each track, to make it more effective as a rammer. Armour – The sides of the tracks are protected by 10 mm titanium, the tracks themselves are 15 mm titanium, and the rear wedge is tapered, ranging from 2 mm titanium to absolute 0. Srimech – It’s invertible Strenghts – Devestating against most wedges, nice traction Weakness – Exposed (but quite sturdy) tracks might be a weakness ---- Liar 2Shape – A lot like Wheely Big Cheese, only wider, with a more rounded back, and the wedge has sharp “whiskers”. Weight – 100 Kilogram Speed – 22 mph Dimensions – 90x80x25 cm Ground Clearance – Ranging from 0 mm under the front to 10 mm at the back Power – 2 LEM130’s at 48 V Movement – 2 large axlebot wheels with a part of the drive motors inside them, and strips of rubber over them for more traction. Turning Circle - Zero Weaponry – The wedge contains a 1000 psi rear-hinged flipper (basically the red parts of the picture) powered by 2x 2,5 kg nitrogen-filled canisters and a single ram with a 70 mm bore size and a 60 mm rod diameter. The tip can lift about a ton, and can easily flip a heavyweight out of the ring. I should have roughly 20-25 flips, and can flip both upside-up and upside-down. Liar now has 2 30 cm long Hardox spikes at the sides of its wedge, practically turning it into a thwackbot. My LEMs should give me a good acceleration and my 22 mph top speed means the spikes will swing around at 54 mph. I will run some calculations as to what this’ll mean for the energy-output, but at this point I can say this will be between 14,4 and 28,8 kJ Armour – 6 mm Hardox for the wheels, 5 mm for the main body. The flipper ranges from 4 mm Hardox at the back to 7 mm at the front, serving 2 purposes. Centering the weight there will keep my flipper lower to the ground and will also add more weight behind a hit from the spike. Srimech – Invertible Strenghts – Powerful and maneuverable flipper Weakness – Exposed wheels I think, though they’re damn sturdy ---- With Or Without YouPart 1 Name – With you Shape – Invertible box with sloped sides and a front-scoop Weight – 50 Kilogram Speed – 18 mph Dimensions – 60x60x13 cm Ground Clearance – 5 mm under the main body, 0 mm under the scoop Power – 4 x Mag S28-400's at 24v Movement – 4 wheels, sellotaped like Storm 2’s Turning Circle - Zero Weaponry – One damn hard front-scoop Armour – 3mm Hardox top and sides, 4 mm titanium rear and bottom, 5 mm Hardox front-scoop Srimech – It’s invertible Part 2 Name – Without you Shape – Look at the picture. Really a box with everything sloped except for the rear. Weight – 50 Kilogram Speed – 12 mph Dimensions – 60x60x13 cm for the main body, the bar is 105 cm wide Ground Clearance – 0 at the front, 5 mm anywhere else Power – 2 S28-150 Magmotors at 24v Movement – 2 wheels, sellotaped like Storm 2’s, there's a castor in the front for added agility Turning Circle - Zero Weaponry – An angled titanium spinning bar powered by a LEM130, technically gives protection over 360 degrees, but due to the angle the weapon’s about 20 cm off the ground when at the rear, unable to hit really low machines, which means I only have 180 degrees of protection against machines that are 20 cm or lower. The bar roughly has a mass of 15 kg and a width of 105 cm. It spins around at 7500 rpm and delivers blows of roughly 420 kJ. Armour – 4 mm aluminum everywhere except for the bottom, which is made of 4 mm polycarb. There's some weight reducing holes in the bottom to keep the weight down. Srimech – None Ok, here’s the deal – I believe I found a good and creative way to make clusterbots worthwhile. Part 2 is a powerful spinner with a vulnerable spin-up time. Part 1 compensates for this. This brick takes on the opponent buying Part 2 the time to spin-up, and wreck havoc Strengths – Great synergy between bots, a great lightweight rambot and a great lightweight spinner in one heavyweight. Good weapon-power. Great acceleration given both bots are only 50 kg. Weaknesses – New strategy. Part 1 is ineffective when inverted, Part 2 is beaten when inverted.

Tracy Farber's entriesMobile FailureShape - Box wedge Colour - Pale purple Weight - 100kg Motors – 2 LEM130s running on 36 volts Wheels - 4 go-kart style wheels Speed - 16mph Clearance - the wedge has no clearance, and the sides have 3mm titanium skirts so it's 0 there too. Without skirts there's 5mm of clearance Armour - 6mm titanium and for the bottom it's 6mm polycarbonate Dimensions - 105cm x 75cm x 30cm Weapons - A titanium axe, using a rack-and-pinion mechanism, powered by 2 2kg CO2 tanks and fed off a 210mm x 125mm pneumatic ram. Srimech - The axe! ---- Bloody FrigidShape - Low wedge Colour - Jet black; the beak is crimson, like blood! ;D Armour - 8mm titanium monocoque Weight - 100kg Motors - 2 LEM130s running on 46.2 volts Batteries - 14 A123 packs Wheels - 2 inner, go-kart style Speed - 15mph Ground Clearance - 0 at the front, 8mm everywhere else Dimensions - 98cm x 64cm x 20cm (40cm with beak raised at its utmost height) Weaponry - The weapon is a really big diamond-tipped titanium crushing beak, run off a Vivoil pump, and powered by a S28-400 Magmotor, so it's got 7.5 tonnes of crush at the tip and 15 tonnes right at the ram itself, so it can really crunch into opponents. Srimech - There are two wings on the side of the beak, and they open via cables in the beak when the beak raises further, righting the entire bot if it falls on its side. ---- Lime-yShape - Wedge, with sloped sides and a rounded rear Colour - Lime Green. Go figure. Weight - ~100kg Motors – 2 LEM130s running on 46.2v. Batteries - 14 Li-Ion packs. Wheels - 4 go-kart style wheels Speed - 15mph Clearance - 0mm at the wedge and at the 3mm Titanium skirts, 6mm without the skirts. Armour - 5mm Hardox Dimensions - 110cm x 70cm x 26cm Weapons - Rear-hinged flipper, powered by a 110 stroke 85mm bore ram and 2kg of CO2. Can fire roughly 20 times and tip over 800kg. Srimech - The flipper. ---- Tornado (realie)

Paul Cuomo's entries
Nitro-Gene 5.0
• WEIGHT: 100kg • ARMOUR: 3.25mm monocoque Hardox for the body, with very strong Stainless Steel bolts capped off with rubber to avoid them being broken by spinners. 4mm Hardox flipper. Inside the body, there’s 1cm of Vulkanised rubber on the sides and rear, with 3cm on the front to help fight powerful spinners, and there's also 0.5cm of PU foam covering the motors and flipper rams inside for protection. • SHAPE: Low invertible box with sides and rear angled in a <> shape, with the rear angled >. The front is completely flat, making it useful at hitting into things and bashing. All the lines have been curved over to make it harder for a spinner to grab onto a panel and rip. • MOTORS: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors at 36V • LOCOMOTION: 4 Vulkanised Wheels, each is 40mm in width, and they’re also 180mm in diameter. • DIMENSIONS: (L) 85CM (H) 17CM (W) 75CM • COLOUR: Dark Blue all over with the flipper coloured red with the name imblazed on the flipper (running vertically down the robot) in gold writing with a thick silver outline. All the edges of the robot are coloured gold. • WEAPONRY: A full pressure Nitrogen powered flipper at 1000psi, using a single 110mm ram at 1000psi. The flipper is mounted in the middle of the robot, and is 15cm wide and runs 65cm up the body. Using a 5cm long 10mm thick Titanium wedge underneath the flipper, and a heavy flipping arm, the flipper runs completely along the ground. Running on a ratio 2.1:1, the flipper produces 1600kg of force at the tips, allowing me to launch anyone away! This version has enough lift to get a robot of equal size 11-6ft into the air, and throw it 11-6ft along. This version has 1 x 2kg Nitrogen bottle, giving me 15 flips! The flipper has enough power to self-right Nitro-Gene 5.0 in a super stylish 540* somersault! • SPEED: 20mph • GROUND CLEARANCE: 0CM-1CM. At the front, it is completely 0mm. On the skirted sides/rear, its 1cm. 4mm Titanium skirts held on by Hardox hindges are mounted on the sides/rear and join up at the corners, making it harder to get under. • STRENGTH: Pushing power and weaponry. • WEAKNESS: High ground clearance underneath skirts.

MeCannibal 3.0
• WEIGHT: 110kg (Shuffler) • ARMOUR: 10mm Titanium on top and bottom, with a 8mm Hardox ring. Inside, it has 1 Inch worth of PU Foam and 1cm of Vulkalon rubber around the ring to stop it self-destructing. • SHAPE: Invertible low cylinder • MOTORS: 2 x S28-400 MagMotors at 24V (powered by 60 x 3000mAh NiCad cells producing 12amps) • LOCOMOTION: 2 x Shuffling pads • DIMENSIONS: (L) 100CM (W) 100CM (H) 17CM • COLOUR: Black with scary human face with over sized teeth coloured red. • WEAPONRY: Ring spinner, made of 10mm Hardox, weighing 30kg, powered by 2 x LEM130’s at 36V to give it spinning speed of 2000rpm and producing 155KJ per blow with a spin-up time of 3 seconds, but is lethal in 1 second. It 2 big 8cm long teeth made of Hardox that curve out. The teeth are inserted into the body and have rows of Tool Steel spikes on the teeth to dig in. These teeth are 3.5kg each and are designed to send all the spinning energy into one spot rather than small amount into multiple spots. It also has 1 Inch worth of PU Foam and 0.5cm of Vulkalon rubber to stop it self-destructing. • SPEED: 15MPH • GROUND CLEARANCE: 0mm-8mm. It has a full-bodied 5mm Titanium skirt running all the way round the robot, and also running completely along the ground that - due to the ring's rotation - rises when the shell is spinning, but drops when the shell isn’t spinning. • STRENGTH: Scary name and weapon • WEAKNESS: Not so effective if the weapon stops.

Harraz
• WEIGHT: 100kg • ARMOUR: 5mm Hardox monocoque. The insides have 2cm of PU foam on all sides to absorb hits from spinners. • SHAPE: Low box with sides and rear angled in triangles, like < and > meaning that it’s harder to damage with a spinner, and the front to corners are cut off to make it harder to rip a panel off at the corners. The front is flat, to help with ramming robots hard into hazards, or just general ramming. • MOTORS: 2 x PERM PMG 080’s’s at 36V • LOCOMOTION: 4 x Vulkanised Wheels 50mm in width and 180mm in diameter with Titanium hubs with 8 spokes. • DIMENSIONS: (L) 80CM (W) 80CM (H) 17CM • COLOUR: Blue all over, except for the lifter, which is black with the name in blood red on the top running vertically down the lifter. • WEAPONRY: Harraz uses a lifting arm mounted in the middle of the robot, running 70cm up the robot, 20cm in width. It’s powered by a S28-400 MagMotor at 24V, geared to lift 500kg up and over. The lifter can be used to self-right the robot AND pin other robots down once flipped, so I can push them around even easier. The lifter has a 7cm long Titanium wedge to flip getting under other robots more easily. • SPEED: 20MPH • GROUND CLEARANCE: 0mm-10mm. 6mm Titanium skirts are on the sides and rear, making it 0mm with 10mm under the skirts. • STRENGTH: Power and weapon combination allow me to push other robots with ease. • WEAKNESS: Lack of properly damaging weapons.
----
Blast
• WEIGHT: 100kg • ARMOUR: 3.25mm Hardox monocoque for the sides/rear, 5mm Titanium for the top, and 6mm Hardox scoop, with 2cm of PU foam behind it to absorb shock from the front. • SHAPE: Low box with sides and rear angled at 35* (sides’ angled outwards (\) rear angled inwards (/)), meaning that, combined with the skirts, it’s harder for robots to get under the sides and rear. The front scoop is angled at 50* with the 10* mounted front spikes. • MOTORS: 2 x LEM130’s at 24V • LOCOMOTION: 4 x Vulkanised Wheels 30mm in width and 200mm in diameter with Titanium hubs with 8 spokes. • DIMENSIONS: (L) 85CM (W) 80CM (H) 21CM • COLOUR: Blue all over, except for the scoop, which is black with the name in blood red on the scoop. • WEAPONRY: Blast uses a weapon system combining the scoop and part of the top armour. The weapon is a FP flipper consisting of the whole scoop, and a 20cm wide, 75cm long section from the top, powered by 750psi pneumatics from a 110mm non-attached ram with buffer tanks to prevent freezing. The ram is geared to 3.5, producing 1000kg of force, which is a lot, and becoming from a large ram, it can flip a robot of equal weight 5ft upwards. The gas is stored in a single 2.5kg tank, giving 15 flips. The scoop has 2 x 1cm Hardox barbs built into it, in the middle with a 6cm gap between them, running flat along the floor, able to get under anything. This, combined with the speed, power and scoop should allow me to flip things about with ease. • SPEED: 22MPH • GROUND CLEARANCE: 0mm-10mm. 6mm Titanium skirts are on the sides and rear, making it 0mm with 10mm under the skirts. • STRENGTH: Rebilability and weapon. • WEAKNESS: Not as much power as other robots.

Dendroaspis
Weight: 97kg Shape: High wedge with two large enclosed wheels, painted black Dimensions: 80 x 50 x 45 Speed: 20mph Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to hinged plate, 0 at rear due to skirt, 1cm at side Armour: 6mm Hardox - rear skirt is 3mm titanium Wheels: 2 stuffed tyres inside robot, and RC gyro for added control Power: 2 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries Weapon: Two electrically powered arms with stabilizing wheels, one on the top wedge and one on the bottom, similar to Cuad the Crusher - the arm at the bottom lifts the whole wedge to overturn a robot that's on it. There is also a static spike on the left and right sides, which can be used when the robot raises itself and spins on the spot. Srimech: Invertible Tactics: Get under opponents with the hinged plate at the front, and lift to overturn them. Can also try to cause damage with the spikes by spinning, or push with the rear skirt. Strengths: Fast, manoeuvrable, versatile Weaknesses: Lack of damaging weaponry, easily flipped from sides
----
Drilla Killa 7
Weight: 99kg Shape: Low invertable box, painted red, with a Tornado-like low wedge at the front, and an upside down one at the back for when the robot is upside down, and skirts at the sides fixed at the centre so they work whichever way up the robot is Dimensions: 110 x 40 x 25 Speed: 17mph Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to wedge; 0 at sides due to skirts, 3mm behind skirts, 25cm at most at back due to inverted wedge Turning Circle: 2cm Armour: 5mm titanium Wheels: 6, inside robot Power: 36V battery and motors Weapon: Each wedge has a hole in the centre - inside each hole is a diamond tipped drill, spinning at 600 rpm, which comes out of the hole using a motor. It can come out to cause damage when an opponent is on the wedge, or can stay out and cause damage when the robot rams opponents. Srimech: Invertible; cannot rest on sides due to skirts Tactics: To get under unskirted opponents, slam them around and bring out the drills to damage their underbellies; to ram skirted opponents with the drills out and try to cause damage Strengths: Good pushing power Weaknesses: Drills may not penetrate very thick armour; high ground clearance at back

M.O.R.D. 2
Weight: 110kg Shape: Box, with sides that slant outwards from the top and bottom edges to form triangles, like Tornado's rear (hopefully this will lower the effectiveness of spinners) Dimensions: 90 x 32 x 35 Speed: 20mph Ground Clearance: 0 at front due to plow, 0 at sides and rear due to skirts, which are fixed to the points of the triangles and can work either way up Armour: Body is 4mm Hardox; scoop is 4mm titanium; skirts are 3mm titanium Movement: Camshafts like Drillzilla Power: 4 Perm 080s motors on 24V powered by 24V @ 12amp batteries Weapons: At the front is an electrically powered scoop which operates through 180 degrees, so it can work when the robot is inverted. Behind the scoop is a 20kg spinning drum with 8 titanium teeth on it, spinning at 2000rpm and hopefully able to flip robots as well as damage them. The drum comes into play if the scoop is lifted. Srimech: Invertable; triangles at sides and rear prevent it resting there Tactics: Shove opponents with the scoop; then lift the scoop and attack with the drum Strengths: Fast; good traction; powerful drum Weaknesses: Less manouverable than wheeled robots
----
Ringwraith
Weight: 100kg Shape: Invertable cylinder on its side, like Barberous, but weapon shaped like Pussycat's blade from Series 4 & 5 (side on - it's wider of course), painted black Dimensions: 100 x 30 x 30 Speed: 18mph Ground Clearance: 10mm Turning Circle: 0 Armour: 15mm LexiGuard inside and a 30kg Duralumin spinning blade Wheels: 2, outside robot Power: 36V battery and motors Weapon: 30kg Duralumin spinning body. It is powered by a C40-400 at 36V geared 3:1 and can reach a top speed of 900RPM. The entire robot is shaped like Pussycat's blade from Series 4 & 5 and is designed to tear into all sorts of armour. The tips of the blades are made from Grade 5 Titanium. It's weapon acts like Corkscrew or Warhog and has a greater power than Matilda's flywheel - it can cut into 5mm Titanium. Srimech: Invertable Tactics: Just keep slamming into opponents with the spinning body and turn into them to try and keep them from hitting me. Strengths: Hard to attack, manouverable, powerful weaponry Weaknesses: Exposed wheels, tricky to control

Disco 5
Shape: Low Wedge with small rear wedge Motivation: it now uses four storm 2 style Vulcalon wheels Speed: 12.5 Mph Weight: 100kg Height: 300mm to top of body, 600mm to the top of the disc Length: 1300mm Width: 600mm Weapon: 500mm Vert. flywheel @ 3000rpm. Has a 4.00 second spin up time due to the C40-500 Magmotor on 36v with a 2:1 twin tension cog belt reduction. The flywheel produces 31.5Kj’s at maximum RPM but is lethal at around 1 second. The second weapon is also the srimech, this weapon is a low pressure pneumatic flipper running on 10Bar (145psi) running into a single 80mm bore ram. This produces 509kg at the ram and is then transferred into the flipper with a leverage point ratio of 1:1. This is a forward facing flipper like FireStorm and will have no problem toppling the heaviest of robots. Chassis: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium monocoque with extra 5mm Titanium ribs to give it more rigidity. Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors @ 36v with a 10:1 Mod 2 spur gear reduction Batteries: 90 x 3000mAh NiCD cells producing 36v @ 9amp Color- the robot and skirts and flipper are blue and the disc is yellow Clearance- it has 0mm at the front due to the wedge it has 0mm at the sides due to skirts its 6mm with out it also has a 0mm at the rear due to the small wedge which is there to replace the problem of the skirt being flipped into the disc. The skirts are NOT hinged and held down by torsion-springs so they shouldn’t spring up and the rear one shouldn’t go up into the disc Notes- The flywheel is at the back off the robot it goes over the back of the wedge so if I can get a robot up the wedge far enough it will be hit by the disc. The shape of the robot stops it from landing on its side.

Panicking Still?
SHAPE- Low invertible box COLOUR- Yellow except for the lifting forks which are black WEIGHT- 98kg DIMENSIONS- 65cm x 60cm x 15cm (Length x Width x Height) SPEED- 20mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0 mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 mm at front due to forks, 0 mm at sides and rear due to skirts 6 mm with out, the skirts are hinged so flop over when the robot is flipped. These can be removed before the fight if I wish them to be. ARMOUR- 5 mm Hardox MOVEMENT- 6 Vulcalon wheels to give extra pushing power POWER- 4x S28-400 @ 24volts WEAPONS- on the front the robot has a pair of invertible lifting forks, the forks are like those on panic attack, the forks are powered by 2 linear actuators SRIMECH- The robot is invertiable so doesn’t require one. The robot can’t rest on its sides, rear or front. Due to the skirts and that the sides are slightly angled. It can’t rest on its front due to the forks. STRENGTHS- Low to the ground, reliable weapon WEAKNESSES- Kind of old design I suppose.

The beak is retracted by 2 gas springs at the front under the beak still protected from the sides. Batteries: 11,5Ah A123 36V Drive: 2x wheelchair motors overvolted to 36V Motivation: 2 x 15cm wheels Top speed: 10mph Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front due to a sloaped front that scrapes the floor. 10 mm at the rear. Armour: 40mm Hdpe and 8mm 7075 aluminium baseplate. Srimech: It rolls over due to the low centre of gravity and the arch on top. Strength: Very fast working beak, with tremendous force. The gear ratios on wheelchair motors provide a lot of pushing power all be it not very fast. Weakness: This thing guzzles gas like a Hummer sucks petrol. I only have 5 to 7 good bites before the gasbottle starts to drain depending on the weather. To save weight I had to go for a slow drive. ---- Giant Bell of Death (GBOD)Dimensions: 75cm diameter, 45 cm highest point, outer ring 25 cm Shape: A big hotel bell. Weight: 99kg Weapon: Full body spinner, outer ring is 6 mm Hardox 450 with 2 Hardox 450 teeth welded in, one if which angled downwards and one straigth out, like Typhoon 2. Alex Holt's entriesAchillesWeight: 100kg Shape: A sloped box that is wedged at the front- the robot is far lower to the ground than all previous incarnations, and the front is less steep as a result making it easier to get under a foe. The front end is now also curved to allow better resistance to weapons. As always, the back is rounded allowing the srimech to 'roll' it over more easily. The sides are now also very slightly sloped inwards at the top. The volume of the robot is about a quarter smaller. Wheels: Four internal cast aluminium wheels (similar to tornado's Go Cart wheels in design but only 40mm wide) and using treaded go-kart style tyres of appropriate diameters. They are run off a tornado-esque skid steer system. Motors: 2x Eteks at 48v Speed: 18mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: 5mm titanium and on top 10mm of polyurethane rubber to stop axes and crushers The flipper and front armour is a hardox frame (4mm) and the spatula is titanium. The internal rams are mounted onto a hardox crossbar but otherwise the top of the flipper it is now armoured with 10mm polycarbonate and the aforementioned rubber. The chassis is also titanium and the side and rear armour is slotted into grooves on the chassis and then welded making it very difficult to remove the side panels. Ground clearance: At the front, the flipper spatula essentially gives it a 0 ground clearance, at the sides it would be 5mm but is protected by a 3mm stainless steel skirt Weapons: The weapon is a rear pivoted lifting arm, this has two set-ups, plus a small extra mounted weapon for either. To get under the opponent it has a Bigger Brother style lifting plate that runs parallel to the ground resting upon it that gives the machine a really low ground clearance enabling it to get under most things, the front edge of the plate has been filed to a sharp edge. Set-up 1: Hydraulics Uses a single hydraulic lifting arm to life opponents of up to 150 kg into the air and tip over up to 400kg. Uses a 120mm bore ram with 40mm stroke and powered using a Vivoil pump On top of the lifter is a hook mechanism that looks like a tiny claw but performs the same gripping effect as the top mounted behemoth axe. It is not particularly sharp, as it is not designed to cause damage, just to grip the opponent it is powered by a small linear actuator. Set-up 2: Pneumatics The second set up is a high-powered pneumatics set-up with a single canister of C02 running at 1000psi providing the power. The addition to this set-up is a small T-shaped bar powered by an actuator which pivots towards the back, enabling Achilles to self right without using up any gas. In emergencies both srimech options can be fired simultaneously for a short 'hop'. Strengths: Very durable, no particular weaknesses for opponent to exploit. Weaknesses: No damaging weapons. ---- Black PantherWeight: 100kg Shape: The majority of the shape is a very low semi-circular wedge that effectively means that any robot that tries to attack from the front 180 degrees will effectively be going up the wedge. In addition to this, the wide, rounded frontal surface of the wedge is more resistant to spinners due to the lack of seams and the larger surface area. The rear extrusion is primarily for balancing the robot during axe use. Wheels: 4 very small (50mm diameter) cast aluminium internal wheels on a simple skid steer - they are all housed within the wedge part of the machine. Motors: 2x S28-400 Magmotors at 24v Speed: 22mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: The frontal wedge is 7mm titanium with the flipper having an extra 5mm polycarbonate over it. Behind the wedge there is 30mm of titanium foam which serves to lodge weapons in it rather than let them go straight through. The armour is mounted over a stainless steel chassis with particularly thick bars running the length of the robot and finishing either side of the flipper slot (inside of course) to give a sturdier front, the area surrounding the axe mechanism is 5mm titanium (the axes plateau). The rest of the armour (essentially the back and box section) is 25mm HDPE as are the two 'sails' which are seen in the image. The sails serve several purposes -primarily however they protect the axe mechanism from crushers and other axes by making them unable to reach around the top of it. They also aid in self righting in two ways- firstly they shield the axe itself from the impact of landing upside down, and secondly they allow self righting to be smoother by allowing the robot to 'roll' back onto its wheels. Ground clearance: The front 180 degrees of the robot is effectively 0mm due to the wedge, the rear is upwards of 20mm. Weapons: The primary weapon is the large pneumatic axe on a similar mechanism to Terrorhurtz, running on a single canister of CO2 at 250psi. The shaft is stainless steel and the blunt blade is 9kg worth of hardox in the shape seen in the image. The benefit of this shape is all the power of the axe is focused to a point so does more focused damage, but the heavy weight and broad shape mean that the damage done is heavy impact damage to shock the internals in a focused manner without risking getting lodged in an opponent. The flipper is powered by 2 linear actuators with a relatively small stroke and is inset into the body to keep is away from damage. The flipper only lifts about 40cm so as not to interfere with the axe, but does so in a quick enough motion that it can flip a robot over. The 'scraper' section of the scoop if a further 3mm of titanium shaped into a forked shape - this has two purposes, firstly for accommodating the axe. Secondly by going to two points instead of a single hard edge it focuses the force of a charge into a smaller area making it far more likely that the robot will be able to punch under skirts due to the proportionally higher pressure exerted and the much smaller points of resistance against it. Strengths: Effective attack combination, fast, difficult to counter, very manoeuvrable. Weaknesses: Comparatively weak pushing power. ---- DantuWeight: 100kg Shape: See the image for full details. Two large wheels mounted onto a frame with a larger angled front and a protective rear panel. Mobility: Two large wheels: they are constructed of 5mm stainless steel with the outer hub being hardox (see armour section for further details). Most of the electronics are housed within the wheels, and have heavy shock absorbency to counter damage. The tread is made of polypropylene. The wheels are re-enforced at the join to make it very difficult to remove them from the rest of the robot. Motors: 2x C40 magmotors at 36 volts. Speed: 22mph, Turning circle: 0m Armour: The majority of Dantu is constructed from it's hardox chassis constructed out of 7mm hardox. The chassis is triangulated as much as possible to strengthen it against attacks. The central hub section is constructed from 4mm stainless steel. The chassis part of the robot extends behind the robot to attach a rear plate comprised of 3mm Kevlar sandwiched between two layers of 3.5mm hardox. In addition there is a 30mm layer of polycarbonate over the front panels. This is primarily to prevent entanglement rather than anything else and reduce vulnerability to long spikes and gripping weapons. The domes on the outside of the wheel are designed to prevent getting lodged on it's side. However, additionally the whole outer side of the wheel is 5mm hardox, and the dome is filled with aluminium foam to absorb heavy shocks and to prevent any piercing weapons from getting to the inside of the wheel. Ground clearance: Generally quite high due to it's nature as a semi axle-bot. Weapons: A large 24kg vertical flywheel made of stainless steel, approximately 45cm in diameter powered by a LEM130 at 36v and spinning at 1000 rpm. Two hardox teeth, the teeth are shaped to try and knock opponents upwards and bludgeon them really hard rather than shred - buckling and bashing to try and destroy the innards of an opponent. In addition to that there are also two pairs of hardox spikes - there is one pointing backwards across the area to the side of the wheel. This is primarily a spinner deterrent - an fbs attempting to spin into the wheel would risk impaling and/or gashing itself. The frontal spike serves a similar function and also serves as a way of greater control of pushing should it occur. Srimech: Invertible. Strengths: Very tough and very damaging. Weaknesses: High ground clearance ---- DarkestarWeight: 110kg Shape: Two tracked modules with a module on which the weapon is mounted. Mobility: Uses stainless steel tracks with textured rubber bolted on to each. The links have L shaped protrusions extending into the body on each side which wrap around an internal rail in the chassis, meaning that it is very difficult to remove the links. If it should come to it, Darkestar CAN move with its tracks removed, however, it is nowhere near as efficient. The track modules can rotate independently of each other, up to about a 70 degree difference, which makes is harder for Darkestar to get trapped on think like the wall or other robots. Motors: 2x LEM130@48v Speed: 15mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: The chassis of the robot is made of 4mm hardox including the central weapon module and the side prongs. The prongs are actually parts of the chassis extended through slits in the armour. The external parts of the chassis lack the weight reducing drilled holes of the internal chassis. The armour plates are effectively slotted backwards between the prongs and the chassis behind before being fastened down which makes removing them by brute force alone very difficult. The armour itself is 5mm titanium on the outside of the pods, and goes down to 10mm polycarbonate on the inside. The armoured protecting the front and rear of the tracks is 8mm titanium and permanently affixed to the chassis. The plates surrounding the flipper, including the protective mounting domes are 4mm hardox and there is a 20mm polycarbonate sheet on both top and bottom of the weapons modules, primarily to prevent entanglement. Ground clearance: As a tracked robot, although technically zero it is still relatively accessible to wedges, the front has an overhang, however, the central module prongs rest on the ground and are therefore low enough to get under opponents for pushing should the need arise. Weapons: A 13kg triangular flywheel spinning at 1500rpm. It is mounted of a free moving frame, therefore the weapon will be in exactly the same position relatively if the robot is inverted so it can carry on completely as normal. The single LEM130@48v is housed within the central module on which everything else is mounted. Dimensions: 100cm L x 85cm W x 28cm H (w/o weapon module) 45cm H (w. weapon module) Srimech: Invertible. The central module can rotate freely 40 degrees either way of the tracks, meaning that the central module is always resting flat against the floor.

The May Tracks Has You
Shape: A box wedge, like Comengetorix. It has a wedge extender to give it 0 mm at the front. Speed: 15 MPH. Dimensions(lwh A): 85CM X 45 CM X 24 CM Armour: 4.5 MM hardox. GC: 0 mm at the front, 6 mm everywhere else, covered by skirts made of 3 mm Ti. Weapon 1: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two pneumatic rams at 500 psi. Weapon 2: Upward facing spikes on the wedge. A robot can go over them, but if it tries to reverse, say goodbye to your tires. By wedging a robot then reversing suddenly, TMTHY can impale the tires, then fire the flipper to do loads of damage. Even a robot with stuffed tires will be limping after that. Drive: Inner tracks, powered by Lem-130’s at 24 volts. Srimech: The flipper. Strengths: Weapon synergy, has sunglasses painted on the side. Once The May Tracks Has You, there is no escape. Weaknesses: Axe/flipper combos could take the tracks out. Notes: There is a strip of metal shaped like sunglasses at the top of the flipper to prevent fast robots just going straight up and over like in Storm 2 vs Firestorm.
----
The Crashing Bore 2
Shape: Box with a wedge on front, with a sharpened front wedge extender. Dimensions: 80 X 45 X 25 (lwh) GC: 2 CMs at sides and rear, 0 at front. Side and rear skirts protect the sides and rear, but can be removed to fight spinners. Weapon 1: The trap is back as ever, powered by two LEM 130s on 36 volts. This time the idea is to snap and grip. Weapon 2: The front wedge lifts up, powered by a linear actuator. This should lift around 200 KGs. Weapon 3: The drill is also back, powered by the same actuator as the wedge. As the wedge lifts, the drill extends to attack the base of whatever is being lifted. The drill is sprung with 50 KGs of down-force, so anything the drill cannot penetrate easily will push it down the shaft and still allow the wedge to lift. However, the drill will still push into the opponent with a force of 50 KGs. Armour: A 3.2 mm hardox monocoque, except for the front wedge which is 8 mm hardox. The skirts are 5 mm grade 5 Ti. Drive: Four wheel drive, powered by two LEM 130s on 36 volts Srimech: The trap Notes: Painted to look like it’s a red robot with a fine layer of dust ;D
----
Raging Tempest
Shape: Ring spinner. Speed: 12 MPH. Dimensions(dh): 80CM X 25 CM GC: 1 CM. Armour: The spinning ring is 4 MM of Hardox 500. The base and top are 5 mm of polycarb. There is a 1 CM Ti box section frame, with weight reducing holes. Weapon: Ring spinner powered by two Lem 130s at 36 volts and spinning at 1500 RPM to deliver around 70 KJs per hit. The four hardox teeth are 6 inches long with two being placed near the top and two near the bottom. Weapon 2: Two foot long blades can be attached to the bottom of the machine and skim 5 mm above the floor, with the idea being to sneak under GCs and attack wheels. This is only used as an anti-Tengu measure. Drive: 2 wheeled, driven by S28-400 magmotors at 24 volts. Srimech: Invertible. Notes: Has an absolute buttload of shock proofing inside. Everything is firmly bolted down, with layers of rubber between everything. Added to that, the teeth have a backwards curving shape which maximizes the distance it will throw itself away from the opponent. The reason is twofold. First is to make ramming and flipping it difficult, but the main reason is to bleed away kinetic energy backlash, by using that backlash to move the robot externally rather than internally. The shockproofing is mostly there to stop it shock killing itself upon landing.
----
The 6isc
Shape: Like an old fashioned bar-bell. It is two circular wheel pods, connected by an axle in the middle of which sits the disc. Size: 60X110X60 CM (LWH) Weight: ~100 KGs Speed: 10 MPH. Ground clearance: Under the wheel protectors, it’s 5 mm. Weapon: 26 KG spinning disc, powered by one LEM 130 Lynch motor and going at 2500 RPM. The disc is shaped with its own teeth rather than needing teeth surgically attached to it, so dentistry is quite impossible. The energy output is 36 KJ’s which, while modest by vapour ‘bot standards should still be enough to make a mess of things. Wheels: 6 wheels, but four wheel drive. This has three wheels on either side arranged in a triangular fashion, so it only runs on four at a time. The wheels are 1 CM solid Ti with soft compound rubber wrapped around them to provide shock resistance, and a layer of Vulcalon wrapped around that to provide traction. Chassis: The main chassis consists of one solitary 1 CM thick 4 mm box section hardox bar. Slotted over that is a secondary axle, inside which are the batteries. There are also two other triangular chassis’ supporting the wheels. These are made from 4 MM 1 CM box section Ti bars with weight reducing holes. Armour: The true axle and chassis is a 4 MM hardox bar. The battery axle is 2 mm aluminium. The semi circular wheel protectors and side spikes are 5 mm Hardox. The disc itself is 14 MM of Hardox 500, and the outer axle is 4 mm grade 5 Ti. Srimech: Totally invertible. Controls won’t even have to be reversed after flipping, meaning it can just go straight back on the attack. Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts. Strengths: The newest version of The 6isc does away with as many weaknesses in The Disc 5 as I could find. Weaknesses: Weak armour in places.

Featherweights---- Redemption (entered by Joey McConnell) WEIGHT: 13.1kg DIMENSIONS: 40 x 30 x 7cm SHAPE: A parallelogram wedge, basically a box with a wedged front and an inverted wedged rear COLOUR: Black and yellow chevrons in a continuous pattern up the front wedge, up the top panel, down the rear inverted wedge and down the base panel. The sides are black with the name written in white. DRIVE: 2 Bosch DPD 12v 120w motors (as used in Alpha and Micro Mute) run at 22.4v and controlled by a RoboWars IBC controller, driving two inner urethane rubber tyred wheels. BATTERIES: 14 2500mah lithium ion cells configured in two packs to give 5ah and 22.4v SPEED: 15mph GROUND CLEARANCE: 0 at whichever wedge is down at the time, rising from 0-7mm at the rear. ARMOUR: 2.5mm stainless steel all around, with an extra layer of 0.75mm grade 5 titanium on the front and rear wedges. The frame mainly consists of 10 and 5mm polycarbonate that provides additional protection beneath the stainless steel at the sides and top. WEAPONS: Redemption mainly relies on the pushing power from the two Bosch motors to dominate opponents, but has a weapons system comprising a third Bosch DPD 12v 120w motor run at 22.4v that belt drives two 65mm diameter diamond edged grinding blades, one at the front and one at the rear of the robot, embedded vertically in the wedge like Angel Of Death. These spin upwards to have some lifting effect but are mainly there to cause armour damage and hopefully rack up Damage points should a fight go to the judges. SRIMECH: Invertible, controls reverse when flipped, and the sides have three spikes each that prevent it landing there. ---- Innis (entered by Tracy Farber) Shape - Rounded invertible box with a pointy front end. Colour - Midnight blue with a white stripe down the side. The disk is white, with blue-tipped teeth. Armour - 5mm 2024 aluminium alloy Weight - 13.6kg Motors - Drill motors at 12v Batteries - 2 12v NiCad Wheels - 2WD; inside bot. Speed - 10mph Ground Clearance - 4mm Dimensions - 60x42x10(cm) Weaponry - Spinning disk, 2 hardened steel teeth, powered by a S28-150 Magmotor at 24v. Spins at 2000rpm, cranking out 3.7kj each hit. Srimech - Invertible ---- Small System Shock (entered by Liam Eliot) Shape: Tracked box with a Tornado style wedge on the front and skirts at the sides and rear Weight: 14.96kg (10% weight advantage for tracks) Length: 25cm Width: 40cm Height: 8cm Motivation: 2 x titanium tracks coated with vulkalon, one on either side of the robot, protected from the sides but exposed from the top and bottom so it can run inverted. Drive: 2 x Astroflight 940 cobalt magmotors run @ 24v from 2 x custom-built 2.4mAh NiCad packs Armour: 3.2mm hardox monocoque Weaponry: The robot is a very powerful, but controlled pusher and has the wedge on the front to get under other robots to push them around. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front and effectively 0 all round due to 5mm skirts made of grade 2 titanium, but there is 10mm clearance behind the skirts. Srimech: The robot runs inverted Colour: Light blue with the name written in yellow on top Strengths: Very well armoured and strong Weaknesses: No active weaponry ---- Bulldozer (entered by Christopher Mason) Weight: 12.5 kilos Shape: Basic box shape with front scooper, 30cm by 20cm by 20cm Speed: 15mph TC: 0mm GC: 0mm at from, 6mm at back and sides. Wheels: 4 inner. Armour: 4mm aluminium armour all around. The sides and back are additionally "protected" by strips of balsawood, which is also used to create the horns. The top is additionally covered by what looks like a paper bag. All of these are purely for sacrificial purposes. Power: 2 18v drill motors, and 2 12v NiCads. Weapons: The front scoop provides the main weapon. It gets underneath an oppodent, then simply pushes into them, or turns them over. Also at the back is a "tail", powered by its own electric motor. It is mostly there for effect. Srimech: The tail might do that. Strengths: Getting underneath the opposition. Weaknesses: Sacrificial, to say the least. ---- Little Hitter (realie; entered by Samuel Park) ---- Rolling Pin FTW (entered by Steven McGregor) SHAPE- cylinder ala Barberous COLOUR- brown WEIGHT- approx 13kg DIMENSIONS- 30cm X 50cm X 20cm SPEED- 15mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 10mm ARMOUR- 3mm titanium monocoque body MOVEMENT- 2 x outer wheels with a rolling pin handle on each POWER- 2 X 9.6v drill motors, running on 12v. The motors run on 4000Mah NiCad’s, resulting in a 4amp battery WEAPONS- Why, the robot itself. Rolling Pin FTW is armed with a full-body spinning drum, powered by a Speed 900 at 24v, with a second 4amp battery powering it. The drum can reach speeds of 2000rpm for the perfect balance of spin-up and slaughter. SRIMECH- invertible NOTES- flies Scotland flag, cheers to Joey for help STRENGTHS- Fairly destructive, fast, manoueverable, well protected WEAKNESSES- low pushing power, may prove tricky to control ---- OverDrive - (realie; owned and entered by Andrew Jackson) Weight: 11kgs Shape: Low to the ground box shape with a tapering rear end, like Tornado. Colour: Silver bodywork with a black front panel. Length: 400mm Width: 400mm Height: 85mm Motivation: There are four wheels. They are made of HDPE and are 100mm in diameter. Each wheel has a Vulkolan tyre bonded to it for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 4x 14.4v JD 550 cordless drill motors run at 16.8v from Speed +2100 battery packs. This is capable of pushing a middleweight robot around. Control is provided by a RoboWars IBC. Turning Circle: 0m using a skid steer system. Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: 7.5mm all the way round. Armour: The front, sides and back are all made of 10mm Aluminium 7075. The top and bottom armour is 5mm thick Aluminium 7075. The front panel has an extra layer of 10mm Steel on top providing 20mm front armour. Weapon: Pure aggression and ramming force! SRIMECH: OverDrive can run invertible and has bolts on its sides to prevent resting elsewhere. ---- Sith (entered by Alex Holt) Weight: 12kg Shape: A wedge, there's a pic for a reason. The wedges allow robots that attack from the side to still go up the front of the robot. Sides are slightly slanted so it won't rest on its side. Wheels: Two large foam filled wheels inside the peak of the robot Speed: 12mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: 3mm Kevlar over an light aluminium chassis Power: 2x wind screen wiper motors at 12v Ground clearance: My little creations gimmick probably comes under here, it is 0mm at the front 3rd of the robot, about 2mm elsewhere. However you see those spatulas at the front: they are retractable. That means the robot can run up to another, fire them under using small actuators which make getting beneath almost certain. Its sort of like a refined version of the Recyclops weapon, except instead of containing a flipper itself it just gets the robot on top enough for the weapon to get them. Weapons: A fairly powerful little flipping arm powered by actuators, red, it self rights the robot and retracts inwards. Srimech: The arm. Strengths: A tough little beastie in most regards, no especial weaknesses. Weaknesses: No particular strengths as such.

Lightweights---- Ziggo (realie; entered by Joey McConnell) ---- Sergeant Slaughter (entered by Liam Eliot) Shape: Wedge, with sloped sides and rear. The front wedge is angled at 30* while the sides and rear are angled at 42* to deflect spinners. Weight: 27.5kg Length: 55cm Width: 35cm Height: 30cm (with weapon) Motivation: 2 x rear internal HDPE wheels with vulcanised tyres Drive: 2 x Dewalt Powerdrives run @ 24v from 2 x 12v A123 batteries in series Armour: 3.2mm hardox front wedge, 6mm polycarbonate sides and 5mm aluminium rear and 3mm aluminium base. Weapon: A Razer-style crusher made of titanium with a tungsten tipped point, powered by the very same brand of linear actuators used by Suicidal Tendencies in their heavyweight machine, providing over 1000kg of crushing force. It is drilled with 100 holes to keep the robot in weight. Speed: 10mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 6mm at sides and 10mm at rear Srimech: Steel cables connect the crusher to Razer-style side arms so when the crusher is raised the arms go out and right it. Colour: Gold, with silver outlines and an army cap on top of the crusher Strengths: Powerful weaponry Weaknesses: Weak armour on base. ---- Ground Zero (realie; entered by Samuel Park) ---- Minigig (entered by Steven McGregor) SHAPE- low disc COLOUR- bright yellow with Mauler-style face on top and bottom to show direction WEIGHT- about 27kg. I hope. DIMENSIONS- 60cm X 60cm X 25cm SPEED- 15mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- about 5mm ARMOUR- 3.2mm hardox for the shell and 3 mil polycarbonate for the rest WHEELS- inside robot, 2WD POWER- uses 2 X 18v drill motors at 24v for the drive, uses 24v at 6amp of NiCads for the main power supply WEAPONS- The main weapon is the 6kg rotating shell. Equipped with 9 little Pussycat-style teeth (3 along the top, 3 along the middle and 3 along the bottom) and powered by a LEMCO-130 at 24v, the spinner can reach speeds of up to 1800rpm in about 3 seconds...should be enough to gut a few of the poorly armoured. SRIMECH- the robot is invertible and the blades prevent Whirly landing on his side NOTES- flies the Scotland flag STRENGTHS- powerful weapon, fast, very manoueverable, tough armour WEAKNESSES- could prove vulnerable to flippers, tricky to control ---- Gamma Raptor (realie; entered by Anthony Politzi) ---- Minilith (entered by Andrew Jackson) Weight: 26kgs Shape: A very low to the ground box shape with a front wedge and sloped sides and rear. The front wedge has an extension plate to aid in getting under others. Colour: Dark grey all over the bodywork. Length: 250mm Width: 250mm Height: 100mm Motivation: There are four wheels. They are made of Titanium and are 120mm in diameter. Each wheel has a Vulkolan tyre bonded to it for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 2x S28-150 Magmotors run at 24v from 3600mAh NiCad battery packs. This gives around 6hp in the drive to push other robots around with. If you remember that Tornado only had 7hp, it gives you an idea of how much this lightweight can push about. Turning Circle: 0m using a skid steer system. Speed: 18mph Ground Clearance: 0mm on the front wedge due to the extension plate. The sides and rear have a 10mm clearance. Armour: 4mm thick Hardox monocoque, with all the corners rounded off. Weapon: The main form of attack comes from ramming opposing robots around the arena using the front wedge. SRIMECH: Minilith can run invertible and its sloped wedges prevent it from resting on its side at any time. Notes: Very small and compact, designed as a thick-skinned rambot that defeats its opponent through power and durability. ---- Tiny Tengu (entered by Alex Holt) Mobility: 4 very small inner wheels on a simple skid steer Colour: Green Weight: 27kg Shape: A squat cylinder Speed: 14mph Turning circle: 0m Power: 2x windscreen wiper motors at 24v. Armour: 3mm titanium. The spinner ring is present and correct, but everything is of course scaled down exactly to accommodate. Ground clearance: Under skirts 6mm, however these skirts are a lot different to usual, basically they are a ring of aluminium foam with all the gap filled in with rubber beneath the robot, there are castors set into them to keep manoeuvrability, basically they not only protect from flippers but from low discs like spin dash. It also enables a slight bit of bounce so it can go to one side slightly without leaving a clearance. Its an half an inch thick form the outside (as in in plan view). Weapons: A full-body spinner spinning at 1000rpm. Uses two 2.5-kilo mounted onto the chassis, and going into the robot to prevent them being ripped out. Srimech: Bar srimech on top powered by linear actuators: the actuators are on the inside and the arm is aluminium boron carbide which means that its incredibly resistant to damage. The srimech actions now takes about 0.9 second. The bar is inset into the top of the machine so it is difficult to damage. Strengths: Very good weaponry, manoeuvrable, gyroscopic force makes it very difficult to flip. Variables make it suitable for any opponent. ---- Backlash (realie; entered by Martijn Benschop)

Middleweights---- Heroin (entered by Joey McConnell) WEIGHT: 54kgs DIMENSIONS: 90 x 75 x 22 cm SHAPE: Low box with steep wedged front, Surgeon General style rear wheel guards, and shallower wedged rear. The top panel 'steps down' a bit about halfway from the rear of the robot. COLOUR: Black with silver weapon, white smiley face on top and name written on the rear wedge in white DRIVE: 2 Yamaha 550cc 12v 1kw motorbike starter motors run from a single Odyssey 12v 14ah battery, driving four urethane rubber tired external wheels. Two are 230mm diameter and mounted inside the rear wheel guards, while the other two are 115mm and mounted just beneath the front disc. The wheels are driven with different gear reductions so they have the same actual speed. SPEED: 15mph GROUND CLEARANCE: 5mm, the rear wedge is 0 ARMOUR: 2mm and 3mm titanium/10% vanadium alloy over a 2014 aluminium frame. Base is 3mm 2014 aluminium. WEAPONS: Mounted on the lower part of the top panel is a 10kg triangular flywheel, 60cm in diameter (giving about 20cm reach in front of the robot), constructed from 2014 aluminium with Hardox claws at each point and steel weight increasing inserts to create a flywheel effect, powered via belt drive from a McCulloch MCC1453A 35cc chainsaw petrol engine. This spins at a maximum 4000rpm and produces energy somewhere in the 20-30kj region. The rear wedge also lifts up, powered from a third Yamaha bike starter motor through a 200:1 reduction. This can comfortably lift another middleweight although the lifting part's in the wrong place to self right the robot. SRIMECH: Invertible; has 4WD when in the correct orientation and 2WD when inverted, and a ball transfer unit in the middle of the flywheel stops it hitting the ground. NOTES: Internals are shock-proofed where practical to minimize impact from its own weapon and other peoples'. ---- Gamma-Rex (entered by Liam Eliot) Shape: Barrel shape like Storm-Force Weight: 54kg Length: 65cm Width: 45cm Height: 25cm Motivation: 4 x internal HDPE wheels with vulcanised tyres, 85mm diameter Drive: 2 x Bosch 750w motors run @ 28.8v from 2 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks Armour: 4mm titanium/vanadium alloy covered by 4mm lexan and Lexiguard compound and 10mm HDPE with an extra coating of 6mm polypropylene. [note from Kody: this makes it overweight though, so the armour has been replaced with sacrificial fur ] Weaponry: T-Minus-style flipper hinged at the back of the top panel, powered by dual 100m non-attached rams @ 1000psi (can be cranked up to 2400psi if the tournament allows it) from a 2kg nitrogen tank giving it about 8-12 flips per round. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 7mm at sides and rear Colour: Gold with silver outlines Srimech: The robot can self-right with the flipper, but it is the same shape as Storm-Force, which virtually never lands on its back so the flipper will not be used as a srimech most times, instead the robot will allowed to roll. Strengths: Very powerful flipper Weaknesses: Limited gas ---- Hazard (realie; entered by Samuel Park) ---- Killoteeny (entered by Steven McGregor) SHAPE- compact box shape with a front Storm 2-style wedge and a rounded rear COLOUR- red WEIGHT- about 50kg DIMENSIONS- 80cm X 60cm X 25cm SPEED- about 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front, 5mm at sides and back without skirts, 0mm at sides and back with skirts ARMOUR- 5mm polycarbonate WHEELS- inside robot, 4WD POWER- 2 X S28-150s, running at 24v WEAPONS- The main weapon is the large 180 degree pneumatic axe, very similar to that of Killerhurtz, which operates ala a rack-and-pinion system like Terrorhurtz. Running on 160psi, it really packs more than a punch and can very easily self-right the machine. Also, if anything should happen to the axe, then the robot can use the low wedge and great pushing power to resort to a Tornado-style tactic – ram to death! SRIMECH- The axe. Even if it’s already been fired while flipped, the axe can right itself ala Killerhurtz, aided by a rounded back. Also, the machine has a rounded back and a red semi-sphere on either side of robot to stop it landing on its side. NOTES- flies the Scotland flag STRENGTHS- Fast, dangerous weapon, good amount of traction, difficult to get under, quick srimech, quite good armour WEAKNESSES- so-so turning ---- Pack Raptors (clusterbot realie; entered by Anthony Politzi) ---- Blizzard MW (entered by Alex Holt) Colour: Silver, white and gray Weight: 69kg. Shape: see picture Wheels: two massive screws which turn inwards to propel the robot forward, outwards to move back or in the same direction to move sideways, the only limitation of this is it means that one side has to travel faster than the other but both must be going forward for the robot to turn, making it have about the same manoeuvrability as car style steering. The main advantage however is that the screws provide massive pushing power from their traction. Lastly the screws also allow blizzard to be amphibious although at present there's no need for this. the last advantage is that it is impossible to prop it up against the sides in any way. It can now move much faster forwards due to the direction of the tread Speed: 17mph Turning circle: 2.5m Armour: 7mm aluminium boron carbide with rubber treads Power: Twin Bosch 750 drive at 36 volts Ground clearance: the same as a cylinder, none but an overhang Weapons:The front of the screws are mounted three sided prongs, which stab into robots when ramming, really sharp, but mainly just heavy, they spin as the screws do for some drilling action. Srimech: invertible Strengths: very strong pushing power, strange movement means that getting round the sides has no advantage, exceedingly tough Weaknesses: Not too difficult to flip ---- The Unnamed Feeling (entered by Andrew Jackson) Weight: 50kgs Shape: The robot is split down the middle into two sections, slightly like Big Nipper. Each side has multiple angles and panels to it, designed to eliminate weaknesses to spinners. Colour: Silver for the main body, with see-through panels. The two rear skirts and lifting arm are both in red. Length: 600mm Width: 500mm Height: 150mm Motivation: Four wheels, with two on each side. Each is made of Titanium and has a urethane rubber tread for decent grip on the arena floor. Drive: Two S28-400 Magmotors powered at 23.1v from A123 M1 Lithium-Ion batteries. Turning Circle: 0mm on a tank style steer. Speed: 20mph Ground Clearance: 10mm under every side, other than the front wedges, rear skirts and the lifting arm. Skirts: Two rear skirts designed to protect against flippers, but can also be used as wedges for pushing. They are made of 5mm thick Titanium and hinged so that they work both ways up. Armour: The silver parts of the design are all 5mm thick Titanium panels. There are 5mm thick Titanium bulkheads inside for strength. The blue areas are all made from 5mm thick Polycarbonate. Weapon: The whole red section in the middle of the robot is a lifting arm. It is powered by a single S28-400 Magmotor and can move the lifting arm through the whole 360 degrees of the robot. This means that it can work equally well upside down and even self-right itself if required. It scrapes along the floor and is very effective at getting under opponents and lifting them up and over. The whole arm is made of 3.2mm Hardox. Self-Righter: The robot can work equally well both ways up, and the lifting arm can also right itself. Notes: Originally designed for the ARC CAD contest. Song: The Unnamed Feeling by Metallica Strengths: Small, quick, armoured well, fully invertible. Weaknesses: Lars’ snare drum may damage eardrums. ---- T-Minus (realie; entered by Martijn Benschop)

Superheavyweights---- Drive (entered by Joey McConnell) WEIGHT: 145kgs/200kgs DIMENSIONS: 125 x 120 x 9 cm SHAPE: A very low box, with the sides sloped inwards towards the front so it's more of a trapezium shape, with wedged sides and rear. At the front is a 4mm Hardox wedge, which is hinged so it flops over when inverted. COLOUR: The top half is shiny silver, and the bottom half black. DRIVE 8 (yes, 8) S28-400 Magmotors running from 12 NiMh packs at 36v, two motors driving each of four 100mm wheels with urethane rubber treads for grip. The wheels are situated at the back and middle of the robot, with castors at the front, which gives it much better manoeuvrability. SPEED: 12mph average, 20mph max GROUND CLEARANCE: 5mm, except the front which is 0 ARMOUR: 3.25mm Hardox on the top and bottom, with the remainder (front, sides, rear) being a continuous 10mm Ti welded plate, which acts as part of the chassis as well. WEAPONS: The front has two hardened S7 tool steel spikes at either side of the wedge, these spikes angle slightly downwards to dig into other wedges, and are very sharp. No active weaponry - this is a pure pusher. SRIMECH: Invertible. The sloped sides prevent it resting there. THEME SONG: "Drive" by The Cars. Again, what else? NOTES: Very heavily shockproofed, with the top armour, motors, batteries and electronics shock mounted to reduce impacts. Has a pair of very bright white LED headlights at the front, just below the spikes. STRENGTHS: Good armour, very good pushing power and manoeuvrability WEAKNESSES: No active weaponry ---- Omega-Rex (entered by Liam Eliot) Shape: Box with a steep wedge at the front Weight: 155kg Length: 120cm Width: 120cm Height: 25cm Motivation: 6 x internal HDPE wheels with vulcanized wheels, 125mm in diameter Drive: 2 x Briggs & Stratton E-Teks run @ 60v from 12 x 3600mAh NiCad battlepacks Armour: 6mm hardox monocoque Weaponry: A huge Matador-style 12mm grade 5 titanium flipper, hinged at the back of the robot and powered by dual non-attached rams @ 1000psi (can be cranked up to 2400psi if the tournament allows it) from 2 x 4kg nitrogen tanks to give 35-40 flips! Speed: 20mph Turning Circle: 0 Ground Clearance: 0 at front, 10mm at sides and rear Colour: Gold with silver outlines Srimech: The flipper stylishly self-rights the robot in a high flip Strengths: Powerful flipper Weaknesses: High ground clearance at sides ---- Ziggy (realie; entered by Samuel Park) ---- Revolver (entered by Steven McGregor) SHAPE- box wi' skirted sides and rear COLOUR- painted like the infamous Yellow Submarine with portholes on the sides 'n' that, with red hinged skirting and the cover for the album "Revolver" pasted on the top WEIGHT- under 145kg, hopefully DIMENSIONS- 110cm X 75cm X 28cm SPEED- 18mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- 10mm all over without skirts, 0mm at sides 'n' rear with 'em ARMOUR- 6.75mm monocoque Hardox. Booyah. MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels and a little caster on top/bottom at the front for balance POWER- 2 x C40-500 MagMotors, running at 36v (should give about 12hp, I think) WEAPONS- The main weapon here is a large horizontal spinning disc at the front resembling an LP record. This is powered by an LEM-130 motor at 36v and runs at around 2500rpm. The flywheel bears two Hardox teeth (curved ala Pussycat's), making it ideal for ripping into the other contestants. It could also charge at other competitors, get under them with the skirt and become a passive rammer should things start to get hairy. SRIMECH- invertible NOTES- flies the Scotland flag STRENGTHS- powerful disc, fast, manoeuvrable, pushing power, invertible WEAKNESSES- wheels exposed to overhead attacks, control could be an issue ---- The Judge (realie; entered by Anthony Politzi) ---- UberForce 2.0 (entered by Andrew Jackson) Weight: 145kgs Shape: A low to the ground box wedge shape with sloping sides. Colour: Black all over the bodywork. Length: 900mm Width: 900mm Height: 250mm Motivation: There are six wheels. They are made of Hardox and are 270mm in diameter. Each wheel has a Vulkolan tyre bonded to it for extra grip on the arena floor. Drive: 6x S28-400 Magmotors run at 24v from 3600mAh NiCad battery packs. This gives around 27hp in the drive to push other robots around with. Turning Circle: 0m using a skid steer system. Speed: 15mph Ground Clearance: At the front of the wedge it is 0mm while the sides and back are 10mm. Armour: 7mm thick Hardox monocoque. Weapon: The main form of attack comes from ramming opposing robots around the arena using the wedge shape. SRIMECH: UberForce 2.0 can run invertible. ---- Red Knight (entered by Alex Holt) Mobility: Four tough large wheels, tapered on the outside to allow for balance should a robot get under it. Colour: Bright red with patches of bare metal. Weight: 155kg Shape: Quite complex, look at the pic and ask any questions. Speed: 25 mph Turning circle: 0m Power: 2x Lem 130s at 48volts Armour: The armour of most of the machine is 3cm polycarbonate over a titanium chassis chassis, however the front plate is a 30kg hardox plate mounted on a 360 degree turret (which is moved using a relay system involving electromagnets, so an impact to the plate will not break the motor as and impact to the plate will switch the magnet off, and then it will re-power to move it once again. The turret is entirely automated and the plate mounted on bearings, this means that using sonar sensors the machine can detect where an opponent is and keep the plate aimed towards them, the bearings allow it to move freely even if the machine is moving in a different direction. The turret has two modes, offensive and defensive, offensive will cause the turret to attack directly using the disc mounted through the center of the turret, defensive will cause the turret to slam the plate into the opponent first and then the disc, especially useful for high powered spinners, the mode can be changed by radio control. All the turret is heavily shockproofed hardox. It is wide enough to cover 30% of the machine at any one time. Ground clearance: Quite high under the main body, but the plate has my new wire brush skirts, which are basically what is says, because they are fibrous is makes it difficult to get under enough to catch the machine as it will just flip a bristle rather than the whole machine. The disc is quite low too making it hard. Weapons: A 25kg horizontal flywheel mounted on the turret, powered by a 4" magmotor. Approximately 40cm in diameter but quite thick, heavily weighted on the outside. It has three tungsten teeth 3cm long each. Srimech: The top panel of the turret pivots at the back to self right the machine, powered by 2 linear actuators. Strengths: Very fast, with a tough offense and defense. You can't outmanoeuvre it really due to the turret system, which is fully automated. Weaknesses: Axes and hammer with long shafts may be able to reach over the plate to hit the main body. Although tough the weapon sensors can be damaged with a direct hit. ---- Toro (realie; entered by Martijn Benschop)
