Tengu VII (11) vs. Eurypterus Evolved vs. ISDSFA vs. Flick of the Wrist Disco 5 (27) vs. Monolith vs. Ramminator vs. Venus Fly Trap
SUMMARY
Round 1 Eliminator 1
Eurypterus attacked Tengu right off the bat, which proved for the rammer as ISDSFA slid underneath it and pushed it into the pit that Flick of the Wrist immediately opened. Then both ISDSFA and Flick attacked Tengu, but Tengu held both of them off, and after a while ISDSFA tired of its attack on Tengu, and stacked Flick of the Wrist against the arena wall instead. ;D
Tengu VII (11) and ISDSFA advance to Round 2!
Eliminator 2
Joining the two bricks of the first melee out, were two more bricks in the second melee. Monolith was quickly lifted by newbie Venus Fly Trap and dropped in Triple Whamlet's CPZ, where the axes destroyed its tires. Ramminator attacked Disco with little success, and after a tussle, Venus Fly Trap came in and attacked it as well, sending down the pit.
Disco 5 (27) and Venus Fly Trap advance to Round 2!

Round 2, Battle 1 Tengu VII (11) vs. Venus Fly Trap
Roboteers, stand by...
House robots...Triple Whamlet and Triple Big Mac, zeh triples. ;D
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
The ominous spinning shell of Tengu starts its trek towards its maximum spinning speed, which is not too long considering it's already there! Venus Fly Trap decides to play the brave fool and charges straight into it. However, the result is very unexpected. Tengu flies onto the wedge, and though successfully knocking off one of the barbs, is stopped! The shell is shocked into stationary mode, and the trap is set! It shuts with horrifying speed, and Tengu is trapped! This is a startling turn of events, and Steven already looks like he has this game in the bag! However, he fears loosening his foe, and instead of going for the Pit as planned, he calculated another fine move; a slam into Triple Whamlet's CPZ! The big house robot lets its tri-axes fly on Tengu's underbelly. The 4mm titanium is not taking the blows well at all, and already great dents appear on the previously smooth belly! Oh dear! And there goes a wheel! Wait...it's been struck, but is there any damage? We might know now, but the axes continue to pound Tengu's underbelly, just missing the upper part of Venus Fly Trap's lifter. Venus Fly Trap however is not satisfied, and now moves away from the CPZ, to go for the pit at last. It smacks into the release button as quick as it can, but as Steve feared, the heavy collision knocks Tengu out of Venus Fly Trap's grip, and away. It's on its back though...and can it not right itself?! Oh dear! Tengu's been robbed! It can't self-right! Has Triple Whamlet's merciless hacking messed up the srimech? We'll have to wait and see, though, as The Watcher comes over to bring an end to this one-sided upset! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!
As Alex lays down the controls in disbelief, Venus Fly Trap moves forward, and pushes the now former 11th seed towards the pit...but Triple Whamlet gets to Venus Fly Trap first, and shoves them both down! Haha! ;D

Round 2, Battle 2 Disco 5 (27) vs. ISDSFA
Roboteers, stand by...
House Robots: Asterix Anarchius and Taki III
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
ISDSFA heads straight for Disco 5, making its way across the arena before Disco 5 even has a chance to move. The Team Bored vapourbot slams its Behemoth style scoop against Disco 5, but can’t get under the skirting. Disco 5 finally responds and Martyn drives his machine away to spin up the vertical flywheel. ISDSFA isn’t far behind, but Disco 5 turns sharply and the flywheel and scoop meet head to head! But the disc hasn’t spun up enough to cause any sort of damage yet. Frank capitalises again and drives in, this time getting under the skirts and operating the electric scoop, rolling the number twenty seven seed onto its back! Disco 5 replies by stylishly self-righting back onto its wheels using the pneumatically powered flipper. ISDSFA continues to be persistent, and scoops up Disco 5, pushing it across the arena and slamming it into the arena wall! ISDSFA backs up for another ram, and flies back in on the attack… but right up the wedge of Disco 5! The flipper quickly operates and this time it is ISDSFA that is flipped over! The side arms roll Frank’s robot back over, but Disco 5 is waiting to pounce…
CRASH!!!
The vertical spinning disc grinds against the 3.5mm Hardox armour of ISDSFA, and the sparks scatter across the floor. But with no apparent damage, the tenacious ISDSFA shrugs off the attack and turns its scoop into the flywheel, stopping it completely! The scoop rises up, lifting Disco 5 off the ground and ISDSFA pushes the seeded robot into the CPZ where Asterix Anarchius awaits. The house robot whacks Disco 5 into the wall with force, but Martyn drives out of danger quickly afterwards. But the safety is short lived as ISDSFA comes back on the attack. This time the sprung skirting on Disco 5 keeps the scoop away, allowing the blue robot to turn and inflict another attack with the disc! But again, other than sparks, very little harm is caused. ISDSFA backs away, allowing Disco 5 to come in with the wedge shape, this time using its flipper weapon. The flipper slides ISDSFA into the CPZ! Asterix Anarchius is quick to respond, hurtling into ISDSFA at speed, embedding it against the side wall!
The house robot backs off, as it can see ISDSFA is trapped against the wall! The self-righting arms aren’t working properly now it is stacked against the arena wall! Disco 5 rushes in, skilfully wedging under ISDSFA and firing the flipper! It looked like Disco 5 was trying to get ISDSFA out of the arena, but it has ended up righting its opponent accidentally! Both robots escape the CPZ either side of Asterix Anarchius and line up their next attacks. The drivers decide to go wedge to scoop… but it seems to be a stalemate! The scoop of ISDSFA rises, but it is lifting thin air. Disco 5 powers on forwards and gets under with another good flip, but ISDSFA lands right side up. Martyn instead backs in with the disc, grinding against the armour and causing little damage again. Unaffected by the attack, ISDSFA gets away and out of trouble.
Frank and Martyn line up for another attack, again going head to head against each other. But this time ISDSFA dodges nicely out of the way! Disco 5 carries on its drive and stops suddenly as ISDSFA turns in an arc and perfectly under the side of Disco 5. The scoop lifts up, and the small flywheel licks out and rattles against the base of Disco 5. Disco 5 bounces down off the scoop, but ISDSFA continues its persistent tactics and begins to push it across The Battlegrounds. The robot from Gainsborough crashes its foe into the arena wall again and begins to lift the scoop, lifting Disco 5 up against the wall… but Disco 5 is a slippery customer and gets away again. Frank backs his robot up again and hurtles in on the charge, just as Disco 5 turns its flywheel in on the attack…
CRASH!!!
Whoa! What a collision! The fully revved up vertical flywheel of Disco 5 collided with the side of ISDSFA, not only sending another shower of sparks flying, but twisting and turning the unseeded machine in a deadly summersault in the air! ISDSFA lands with a sickening thud on the ground, with a panel notably hanging loose on its right-hand side. Martyn seems stunned by the attack his robot unleashed, while Frank seems to be panicking in the control booth. Mr. Goacher is moving the sticks on his transmitter but there is nothing in return. With ISDSFA knocked out, The Watcher moves in to assess the situation and counts it out. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!
Disco 5 has moved over to the pit release, and as the pit sinks lower, Taki III moves in for the finishing touches, dumping the finished ISDSFA into the pit.

Roboteers, stand by…
House Bots: Triple Big Mac and Renegade
3… 2… 1… ACTIVATE!
After its slow start to the last battle, Disco 5 ensures it gets off to a good start in this one, immediately starting to spin up the vertical flywheel. Venus Fly Trap makes its way across the arena to meet it and rams right into the seeded robot. After already taking out the highly rated Tengu VII, Steve has the confidence to meet Disco 5 head on. The lifting/clamping weapon fails to get under Disco 5, and Martyn drives his robot away to continue spinning up. Venus Fly Trap pursues its opponent, as Disco 5’s spinning weapon begins to reach maximum speed. Disco 5 turns neatly to the side of Venus Fly Trap, and surges forwards…
CRASH!!!
The flywheel impacts with the side of Venus Fly Trap, causing the robot from Scotland to flip over onto its back! Disco 5 has made a good early attack, but Venus Fly Trap quickly self-rights, seemingly undamaged. With Disco 5 spinning slowly, Venus Fly Trap takes the opportunity to attack, driving forwards and getting straight under the side skirts. The lifting plate raises Disco 5 off the ground, and Venus Fly Trap has complete control. Steve decides to give Disco 5 a trip to the CPZ, and lowers Martyn’s robot into the zone containing Renegade! The house robot operates its axe, clanging the top of Disco 5. As the seeded machine attempts to escape, Venus Fly Trap shoves it back in. Again the axe of Renegade strikes the top of Disco 5. This time Disco 5 manages to steer away. Venus Fly Trap attempts to push it back into the CPZ again, but misses. Disco 5 turns back towards Venus Fly Trap and gets right underneath with the wedge, using the flipper to throw the Trap onto its back. Venus Fly Trap uses its self-righting arm to roll back…
CRASH!!!
Oh no it doesn’t! While self-righting, Disco 5 turned its flywheel right into the base of Venus Fly Trap! On the second attempt, Venus Fly Trap rights itself and makes its way away from danger. But Steve’s robot is noticeably hobbling! The last attack seems to have caused some problems to Venus Fly Trap’s mobility! Realising the match is turning in Disco 5’s favour, Venus Fly Trap rushes to the pit release! The pit starts to open right as Disco 5 slams into Venus Fly Trap, getting under again and flipping Venus Fly Trap against the pit target! Venus Fly Trap appears to be stacked on its side against the pit release trigger! Disco 5 turns and starts ominously spinning up its flywheel, waiting to strike once again. The disc starts gaining momentum and Disco 5 rushes in… but Venus Fly Trap nudges itself away using its lifting panel! Disco 5 is left to annihilate the pit target, as Venus Fly Trap played possum. Now Venus Fly Trap gets under Disco 5 and begins to lift it up! The seed is firmly clamped in place and Steve makes his way towards the pit! Disco 5’s disc is spinning, and the flipper fires, but there is no escaping Venus Fly Trap, as it reaches the pits edge. The clamper releases its grip and starts to lower Disco 5 down… but it is away! Disco 5 has managed to sneak away from the pits edge! Now it comes in on the attack!
CRASH!!!
Just like in the early stages of the match, the attack flips Venus Fly Trap over. But again, it is quick to self-right and makes a get away. But the earlier damage allows Disco 5 to quickly catch up with Venus Fly Trap, scooping it up with the wedge. Disco 5 moves across The Battlegrounds and operates its flipper, launching Venus Fly Trap into Triple Big Mac!
CRASH!!!
Venus Fly Trap clatters into the 1500rpm 70kg spinning ring of the house robot, knocking it senseless. But despite the amazing collision, Venus Fly Trap quickly rolls away… right into Disco 5’s oncoming spinner!
CRASH!!!
Poor Venus Fly Trap is being bombarded with relentless strikes! But again, the 4mm Hardox armour is holding up strong to the attacks, and Venus Fly Trap limps away. This time Disco 5 goes in with the wedge, and fires the flipper again, sending Venus Fly Trap tumbling. But remarkably Venus Fly Trap shrugs it off and gets its lifting plate under Disco 5 again and rolls the twenty seventh seed right onto its back! Without wasting any time Venus Fly Trap begins shunting Disco 5 towards the pit… but Disco 5 self rights in the nick of time! Venus Fly Trap almost drives into the pit itself! But Steve backs his robot up… right onto the wedge of Disco 5! Disco 5 drives forwards and with help from the flipper flicks Venus Fly Trap into the pit of oblivion, before driving in itself! What chaos! ;D

Venus Fly Trap has been swatted! Disco 5 (27) advances to the Series Semi-Finals!!!
