The first Battlegrounds was good, but now comes 2.0! Rendered in 3D Studio Max.
Team Zlayerz Battlegrounds - v2.0
The Arena
Beautiful from a distance, ain't it? It's 20m x 15m, with 50mm Hardox armouring in the walls. The floor is steel, with wood and another layer of steel underneath it, so you'd be hard put to try and damage it. And yes, the label in the middle speaks the title quite clearly.
The Pit and pit release button
Every self-respecting arena should have one. ;D There's a shot of it closed.
And a shot of it open! Don't fall down there, or you lose instantly!
Slam into this do-hickey on the arena wall to open the pit.
The floor flipper
Propelled by two gigantic rams on the sides of the panel, it can launch bots across the arena in no time flat! It's only really used after a bot loses, though. Nice shot of it open, don't you think?
The flame pit
Like charbroiled opponents? This is your hazard. At the moment, it's not activated, but when robots ride over it they better be ready for a heat wave! ;D
The Discs of Death
Improved since the first time, they give out over 100kJ a hit, and come with a sleek, new titanium cover. They're located at the centre point of each arena wall. Any bot that gets hit is sure to get a kiss of death from these things. ;D
The corner patrol zones (CPZs)
They're found on every corner, and are usually occupied by Team DarkZlayerz, the house robots. Wander into one, and you'll get attacked, even if it's vacant! They'll shoot across the arena to get to you!
The arena kill saws
The saws return with a vengeance! Now two extra sets have found their way into the arena. they're ready to slice, dice, and make robots feel not so nice, especially in their tires. ;D
The arena spikes
Two new hazards; an arena spike sits near the CPZs that the pit and floor flipper don't cover, and will punch robots where the sun don't shine. ;D Made of stainless steel with a hardened tip, thhey'll most definitely flip you over, so watch out.
