Christopher Mason's stats
Orka MK4 (3)
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Behemoth Speed: Some 15mph TC: 0 GC: 2mm, 0mm at front. Wheels: 6 inner Armour: 7mm titanium Power: 3x 12v batteries, powered by a couple of Magmotors Colour: Black with white patches Weapons: A Behemoth like bucket scoop, made from titanium, and quitecapable of lifting 300 kilos. It has a claw like device to grab anoppodent, like the claw on Mantis. The scoop is pnumatically powered, and has about 45 odd flips. Srimech: It has a dorsal fin on top used for self-righting Inspiration; I've always liked Orcas. Adding the K made it sound moredangerous. Notes: Came 3rd in the first C&B tournament, as you should know. Strengths; Weapon Weaknessess: Hard to turn
Axe-O-Lotl
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Comengetorix Speed: 20mph TC: 0 GC: 2mm Wheels: 4 inner Armour: Mainly aluminium (5mm) with 3mm Titanium top plates. Power: Same stuff as Storm 2 and Cyclone Force uses. Colour: Has interchangable panels. One set is pure black, the other pure white with pink tinges. Weapons: A very nasty axe, with the power of Dominator 2. The head is diamond tipped, and the whole weapon is VERY persistant. It can fire about 50 times in one fight. Srimech: The axe rights the robot. The robots body is designed so it can't be side stranded. Inspiration: My favourite amphibian, the axolotl. Notes: The interchangable armour plating is purely cosmetic. Strengths: Powerful weaponary Weaknessess: Questionable armour.
Cyclone Force 2.5
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Storm 2 Speed: 25mph TC: 0 GC: Side is 0mm due to skirts. Back is 2mm. See set-ups for front GC Wheels: 6 inner Armour: 7mm Titanium. Power: Similar stuff to what Storm 2 uses. Colour: A blue-ish grey tone all over. Weapons: The robot has 5 set-ups, 2 brand new... SET UP 1...A lifter device, similar to Storm 2. In theory, it can lift 190 kilos. The front makes a wedge and results in a 0mm GC. However, the wedge is useless upside down. SET-UP 2...A pair of Kan Opener style claws, with about 4 tonnes of pressure at the tip. Front GC for this and Set-up 3 is 1mm. SET-UP 3...A Disc-O-Inferno style disc, reaching speeds of up to 3000rpm and with similar damage capability to this dangerous bot (I mean, look what it did to Panic Attack). SET-UP 4...Two 30cm long spikes, which, combined with the speed of the robot, can easily penetrate weaker armours (I'd say anything 4mm thick or less, minus Steel, is in a bit of trouble). SET-UP 5...The most risky approach, A simple bucket scoop, like X-Terminator. The scoop is static, but can get underneath virtually zero ground clearance. Its front is 0mm. Srimech: The robot runs inverted, the sides are protected by the skirts and back stranding is impossible. Set-ups 2, 3 and 4 work upside down. Inspiration: The original Cyclone was named because it is the name of a storm and it sounds threatening. The force came later, after it became a pusher. Notes: For this tournament, Cyclone Force will be working with set-ups 2, 3 and 5. Strengths: Raw power Weaknessess: Lack of control, Set-up's 1 and 5 do not work upside-down.
Die-Ceratops ReInvertus (6)
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Wheely Big Cheese Speed: 15mph TC: 0 GC: 0mm at front, 3mm at sides and back. Wheels: 2 inner, sticking out only slightly, Armour: 8mm titanium Power: 3x 12v batteries, powered by a couple of Magmotors Colour: Green, with Killer Carrot style wrinkles, mouth and eyes. One of the eyes has a plaster over it, the other is a black eye. A few bandages are painted on this time. Weapons: A huge Wheely Big Cheese style flipper, capable of flipping a tonne or so. Srimech: As the name suggests, the robot runs inverted. Bars prevent side strandings, and the back is rounded, so stranding THAT way is outta the question. The flipper works upside down. Inspiration: I've always liked Dinosaurs. This is a pun of Triceratops. The "Invertus" part is pretty obvious. Notes: Previously voted "Most Under-rated" Vapourbot. Strengths: The ability to work upside down and still be able to use its weapon, now easier to control. Weaknesses: Facing more agile vapourbots
Crash Bandi-bot 3
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: A box with a wedge at the front and an inverted wedge at the back. About a metre long, point 3 of a metre wide and point 2 of a metre high. Speed: 16mph. TC: 0. GC: 4mm all over except wedge, which meets at 0. Wheels: 4 inner. Armour: 8mm Titanium. Power: 3x 12v batteries, with good old Magmotors. Colour: Orange. Weapons: The mini wedge sports a nasty flipper. Underneath said flipper is a spike which allows Crash to attack if the flipper misses. Also, the back wedge (see below). Srimech: Crash runs inverted, and the sides stick out to prevent side-stranding. When upside down, the wedge at the back allows Crash to continue attacking. Inspiration: My old video-game friend, Crash Bandicoot. Notes: Says "WOAH!" whenever you hit his face (painted on his flipper) thanks to a sound-system inside. "WOAH!", of course, being Crash's catchphrase. Strengths: Very manuverable. Weaknesses: Tengu! Crash STILL hasn't forgiven him after the last time they met.
Leprosy Infection
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Tetanus Booster Speed: 18mph TC: 0 GC: 2mm, when using the plough, the tip is 0mm. Wheels: 4 inner, top sticking out. Wheel flaps are situated either side of the wheel to protect them. Armour: 7mm titanium Power: 3x 12v batteries, powered by a couple of Magmotors Colour: A disgusting shade of lime green. Weapons: Actually, Leprosy has two weapons. 1: A large Shunt-like plough, static and used to push robots out of the way. 2: A very large, very dangerous vertical drum, capable of reaching speeds of 4000rpm. The teeth on the drum are curved upwards so they can flip as well as damage and very sharp at the tip. There is a reason for this... Srimech: The robot is invertable. Bars along the side and back prevent stranding. The wheel flaps, both on top and bottom, are set so the robot can still run inverted without getting stranded. Once upside down, the teeth of the drum gouge out robot parts. Inspiration: Named after the disease which causes the skin to flake and fingers and toes to drop off...namely because the robot does something similar. The basic idea came from an episode of The Simpsons. Notes: Has lights hidden underneath the armour, making the lime green look even queasier. Strengths: Drum, control is pretty good Weaknessess: Wheels may be vulnerable to axes
Spring-BOK!
Weight: 100 kilos Body Shape: Firestorm. Speed: 12mph TC: 0. GC: 0 at front, 3mm at sides. Wheels: 2 inner. Armour: 8mm titanium, covered in 2mm orange fur. Power: 3x 12v batteries, powered by a couple of Magmotors. Colour: Orange, thanks to the fur. Weapons: A launch pad. Here's how it works...basically, the robots drive up the wedge, then the front panel, which is attached to four large car springs, fires outwards. A miniture piston device is attached to the panel to prevent it getting fired off, and also re-sets it. Should that fail, it does have a back-up plan (see notes). Srimech: Two arms that extend around the side of the body, a bit like that of Philliper, only bottom hinged rather than top hinged, act as the Srimech. Inspiration: It's named after an antelope. Notes: This is the re-make of the former comedy yet highly sucessful robot "Fluffitor", who won a previous Children In Need special. Has an in-built police siren which it activates if the going gets tough. The idea is that the oppodent will think he's about to be arrested then run off. Strengths: Experience, unique weapon. Weaknesses: Untested, Flammable, back-up plan probably won't work.

David Sheppard's stats
Flipping Mad Mass - 96 Kg ish Shape - Box, with skirts, and a scooped front Colour - Blue Speed - 15 mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0, it uses skid steer GROUND CLEARANCE- 5mm at rear to 0 at front ARMOUR – 6mm titanium shell. Skirts – Simple skirts WHEELS- 4 wheel drive, giving power from the Bosch 750 drive at 36 volts WEAPONS- A giant flipping arm, powered by a co2 bottle for two pistons. SRIMECH- flipper will be used to self-right it NOTES- Flipping Mad, older than life, based on the very old flipping mad mark 1 chassis. Let’s see if the old dog has some tricks left in it. STRENGTHS- 4 wheel drive, Flipper WEAKNESSES- Was around before the dawn of time.
Quocunque Jeceris Stabit
Shape: Simple wedge, with side bumps and a curved rear. Colour: Blue Weapon: A Chaos 2 style flipper with rams etc, I don’t want to go into detail here, because it will make the stats long. Armour: 5mm aluminium, with little titanium protection strips around the sides and a titanium strip, simpler to Firestorm 5 at the front. Speed: Top speed is 25 mph, but I like it best at around 14 mph. Weight: 96 kg Ground Clearance: Close to zero at front, sides and rear the ground clearance is 2cm for better turning. Motors: 2 Bosch 750’s at 24 volts. Wheels: 2 wheels, designed to give grip on most arena surfaces. Srimech: Flipper, at a lower pressure. Strengths: Flipper will keep going whatever you throw at it Weaknesses: A bit out-of-date with today’s standards.
Son of Wedgie
Mass – 100 kg ish Armour/chassis – I have done a Dantomkia with this robot, replaced the chassis with a lighter but tougher monocoque with all the old stuff being kept inside. The main backbone is a ladder chassis with 5mm steel bars with 4mm titanium welded to the steel. There is still 18mm steel triangles giving strength in the corners. Around the wheel arches is toughen up with extra framework to prevent the armour being pushed back onto the wheels. Weapon 1 – A backward hinged LP flipper running at 145 psi (10 bars) using an 80mm ram giving about 40 big flips per fight, then it will run on for a long time for self-righting reasons. There is a 3L buffer tank, so it can fire once or twice without the buffer being needed to be fast fed (it will work faster!). These buffer tanks are right at the front of the wedge to stop the front lifting when moving. The flipper is hinged right at the top of the wedge to self-right the robot. At the front of the wedge, the flipper plate widens and runs along the ground, this piece is 2mm steel and is pointed at the front, and it is designed to get underneath full bodied spinners and skirts. However this may get damaged during the fight. The flipper is made from 18mm steel bar, reinforced with triangles, and covered in a 4mm sheet of Aluminium on the top only. The steel is welded together and the cover is bolted onto the steel frame. The hinges are underneath the flipper and to stop pesky axes, the protection is a lump of 5mm steel covering the heavy duty hinge. The ram is covered by a secured net which rises with the flipper. This net can be removed if the rules state that it’s illegal. There is a flipper extension plate, now shorten than the original, but still is a good 7 CM away from the robot. This is designed to flip 200 kg without bending. I will choice if I should use the plate.
Weapon two – A 3mm Hardox front scoop, this has 2 purposes, to hold the front down and to protect the buffer tanks from axes and spinners.
Weapon Three – Skirts and a secondary front wedge. The skirts aren’t fancy with torsion springs, just plain basic removable skirts at an angle of 12.3 degree from the x-axis, and the ends are brushed to lie flat against the floor. The secondary wedge is to prevent over-flip.
Shape - Low Wedge, rounded back to self-right the robot. Rollover bars on the sides to stop it landing on its side. The flipper itself has a backwards wedge on it to prevent robots running straight up and over the wedge. Wheel type – 2-wheel drive, using C40-500 MagMotor, on 36 volts with a 17.8:1 double stage, gearing system, the wheels are 200mm and made out of Volcalone rubber, giving grip. There is a small ball bearing at the front, which makes the front move. Batteries – The robot is run by 5 packs of 3000mAh NiCD's @ 36 volts. This gives 16 Amps to get though the full 7 minutes of a fight. Ground Clearance- At front zero, its 1 cm at the rear, and 6mm at the sides without skirts, pretty much zero with the skirts. Turning Circle – Because of the ground clearance at the back, and the 2 wheel drive chassis this robot can turn on the spot. This could be a weapon against pushers, once spinning the front will lift because of the gyroscopic forces and it will become a full bodied spinner. Speed – Top speed is 28 mph, fast enough to beat most pushers and slow enough to be controllable, because it’s normally driven at less than half this speed in a fight with 1 g acceleration. Colour – [N/A] Added Controls – A couple of gyros, expensive speed controllers, high-tech radio control blah blah blah, you get the idea. Summary – Son of the Wedgie, out to kill house robots near you. I have done a Dantomkia, new chassis, same old inners, why replace what works? Strengths – Excellent control, acceleration, that flipper, top speed if needed, Low Angled skirts, making this beast very hard to get underneath. Weaknesses – The flipper isn’t in the ranks of Stratos (Why need overkill, when a simple flip over the fence will do), the drive system power isn’t in the same league as Storm 2 (once under, why do you need 10000 horsepower to push against a robot with less traction) The armour isn’t anti-spinner (Meh, attack first, attack second, defence third), Might not perform that well in enclosed arenas (Flipper + Shorter fights + Might get it somewhere it can’t self-right).
Revenge of the Accountant
Weight: 100 kg Locomotion: 2 Bosch 750s running at 36 volts, chain drive. Shape: Box with wedge Max Speed: 12 mph Ground Clearance: At wedge end it is 1mm, underneath the main 'bot is 1cm. Armour: 5mm Carbon Fibre over an aluminium ladder chassis Weaponry: I'm going for a simple biohazard style lifting arm, except for without skirts it can self-right itself. Srimech: The weapon will self-right itself Strengths: That weapon can be useful. Weaknesses: I been out of the game for 18 months, so it's a bit old school.

Steven McGregor's stats
Wedge Devolution
SHAPE- low wedge with sloped rear and Biohazard-style side and rear skirts COLOUR- sleek and shiny silver WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 90cm X 78cm X 40cm SPEED- 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0 GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front, 7mm for the rest of the robot (without skirts), 0mm at all sides (with skirts) ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive POWER- 2 X Lemcos WEAPONS- As usual, the main weapon is a rear-hinged flipper. This is very similar to Chaos 2, except the blade at the bottom is bent ala Bigger Brother, allowing the flipper to have greater effect against bots with skirts or low centres of gravity. The flipper itself is powered by 2 X 80mm high pressure pneumatic rams, each running at 250psi. This should allow Wedge Devo to comfortably flip up to 1 tonne. Also, the front blade can be exchanged for a "Nose"-style plate, approximately 15cm in length. This is used primarily for full-body spinners. SRIMECH- The flipper can right the machine easily and the rear wedge should hopefully prevent a Chaos-style "self-flip". Also, Wedge Devo is equipped with a grey semi-sphere on either side of robot to prevent it getting stuck on its side NOTES- flashing red light on top of robot, flies Scotland flag STRENGTHS- powerful flipper, fast, manoeuvrable, difficult to get underneath, tough armour, good traction WEAKNESSES- could prove a bit tricky to control, limited CO2 (like all other flippers )
Killotine: EVO (9)
SHAPE- compact box shape with a front Storm 2-style wedge COLOUR- red WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 100cm X 70cm X 35cm SPEED- about 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front, 10mm at sides and back without skirts, 0mm at sides and back with skirts ARMOUR- 15mm polycarbonate top and bottom, 3.25mm Hardox armour at sides, front and back WHEELS- inside robot, 4WD POWER- 2 X LEM-130s WEAPONS- The main weapon is the large 180 degree pneumatic axe, very similar to that of Killerhurtz, which operates ala a rack-and-pinion system like Terrorhurtz. Running on 160psi, it really packs more than a punch and can very easily self-right the machine. Also, if anything should happen to the axe, then the robot can use the low Storm 2-style wedge and great pushing power to resort to a Tornado-style tactic – ram to death! SRIMECH- The axe. Even if it’s already been fired while flipped, the axe can right itself ala Killerhurtz, aided by a rounded back. Also, just like the original Killotine, the machine has a rounded back and a red semi-sphere on either side of robot to stop it landing on its side. NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, the new version of my 2nd ever Vapourbot, Killotine STRENGTHS- Fast, dangerous weapon, good amount of traction, difficult to get under, quick srimech, nice and fast WEAKNESSES- so-so turning
Metal Sonic Spin Dash
SHAPE- low skirted box, with fixed front wedge & sloped sides COLOUR- blue bodywork, with red-and-white striped skirting WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 102cm X 75cm X 20cm SPEED- 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at front with spatula, 0mm elsewhere with skirts, 12mm elsewhere without skirts ARMOUR- 3.75mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 6WD POWER- 2 x LEM-130 MagMotors. These will run at 36v and produce approximately 18hp. WEAPONS- The main weapon here is really the excellent traction, but like all its other incarnations, Spin Dash still maintains its Pussycat-style vertical saw blade, running at 3000rpm. This time, however, the four-clawed spinner sticks halfway out of the front wedge, so that when the wedge/spatula combo bashes underneath an opponent, both the wheels and the underbelly are at the mercy of the saw. Also features several Mute-style barbs on top to hook onto other robots and let me drag them around the ring SRIMECH- a rear-hinged arm on top with a basic low-pressure CO2 set-up. Can be used to about 30-40 times and is ONLY used for self-righting in order not to waste the gas supply NOTES- flies the Scotland flag (though, forgot to add to pic. Shockaroonie!), has "F*** Shadow!" written on the underbelly in red STRENGTHS- excellent traction, fast, manoueverable, tough armour, well-skirted, great at getting under everyone else WEAKNESSES- so-so turning ability, teething troubles?
Whirligig 4.0
SHAPE- flat disc COLOUR- deep yellow with Mauler-style scary face on top WEIGHT- about 100kg (see bottom) DIMENSIONS- 101.6cm diameter X 12.7cm SPEED- 15mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0 GROUND CLEARANCE- 4mm ARMOUR- 1.905 cm thick Grade 5 titanium FEET- inside robot, uses 4 DrillZilla-style shuffling plates. These help prevent the bot being flung halfway across the ring on contact with another bot, ala Typhoon POWER- 2 X S28-400s running on 36v. Uses 120 X NiCad cells at 36v, producing 12amps at 36v overall for drive and weapon power WEAPONS- the main weapon on Whirly 4.0 is a much improved spinning shell. Weighing in at 33.72kg overall, it's heavier than before and now boasts 9 Pussycat-style blades - 3 on the top, 3 in the middle and 3 on the bottom, so it can get some scars in nearly all opponents. The shell is now powered by 2 X LEM-130s running at 36v (these lie on their side, so they will fit comfortabely inside Whirly). These produce 2000rpm...and 183 kilojoules. This should be enough to completely obliterate another machine. Or worse. As well as this, the power in the shuffling feet mean that Whirly can act as a pretty powerful pusher if the shell fails to work SRIMECH- the robot is invertible and the blades prevent Whirly landing on his side NOTES- Mauler-style scary face on top and bottom which show direction of robot, flies Scotland flag, my first properly calculated machine STRENGTHS- fast, manoeuvrable, very deadly weaponry, tough armour, scary face shows its direction, very good traction, can't be flung away on impact as easily as Typhoon WEAKNESSES- so-so manoeuvrability, feet may prove vulnerable to crushers and axes
WEIGHT CHECK: armour = 33.72kg (inc blades) chassis, mounts, bracing etc = about 30kg drive and weapon motors = 12kg overall NiCads = about 15kg "feet" = about 10kg overall
TOTAL WEIGHT = 100.72kg. Fits right into the roller limit, with the 1% error margin rule.
Clawdius Decimus Murderous (2)
SHAPE- wedge with small box section and high rear wedge COLOUR- deep green with shield emblazoned on the wedge WEIGHT- about 100kg DIMENSIONS- 95cm X 73cm X 70cm (including claw – 35cm without) SPEED- 13mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- virtually 0mm at the front, 0mm at sides and rear thanks to skirts (arranged in a Biohazard fashion, corner-to-corner), 10mm without ARMOUR- 5mm Hardox WHEELS- inside robot, 4-wheel drive POWER- 2 X S28-300 MagMotors (thanks to Scott here) WEAPONS- The main weapon is the Razer-style crushing claw, operating at 3000psi (5000 if permitted in certain tournaments), with a nice little diamond-coated tip. Also at the front is a Firestorm-style blade and 2 small “spears” to aid in getting under the opposition. Combined with the crusher and the reasonably powerful 4WD, CDM can become an effective pusher/clamper SRIMECH- Like before, CDM uses a rear-hinged pneumatic arm on either side to self-right. The high-wedged rear also prevents the robot getting perched there NOTES- flies the Scotland flag, concept of name came from “Gladiator” (“My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius – father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife...but that’s when I phoned Claims Direct!”) STRENGTHS- Quite nippy, good traction, powerful weapon, difficult to get underneath, fast srimech WEAKNESSES- so-so manoeuvrability
Turbo Tails (12)
SHAPE- short box with front wedge, sloped sides & rounded rear COLOUR- yellow with the fox's face looking particularly evil on the front slope WEIGHT- approx 100kg DIMENSIONS- 90cm X 75cm X 25cm SPEED- 16mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- approx 0mm at front (titanium blade), 8mm everywhere else ARMOUR- 3.5mm monocoque Hardox, with 2mm yellow fur over that. MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels POWER- 2 x C40-500 MagMotors. These will run at 36v and produce approximately 12hp. WEAPONS- Tails' chief weapon is the horizontal spinning blade. Now mounted on top, it's a bit heavier than before and has Fluffy-style heads instead of the old hammers. It's powered by 2 x LEM-130s running at 36v and has top speeds of around 2500rpm, so it's definately just as deadly as before - if not, more so! SRIMECH- A front forward-hinged arm, powered by a single, low-pressure CO2 ram. Capable of operating just over 30 times per fight. Not used for the offensive unless desperate. Sloped sides and rounded rear also prevent it getting beached. NOTES- flies the Scotland flag STRENGTHS- 'orrible weapon, tougher armour, fast, fairly compact, greater pushing power WEAKNESSES- not quite as manouverable as before, flammability, who'll take it seriously?
The Riddler
SHAPE- bowler hat, with the brim narrowing into a small scoop shape at front and back COLOUR- green with a white band, purple question mark at front WEIGHT- approx 100kg DIMENSIONS- 90cm X 90cm X 35cm SPEED- 15mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0m GROUND CLEARANCE- approx 0mm for scoops, 10mm all round elsewhere ARMOUR- 4.5mm Grade 5 titanium MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels POWER- 2 X S28-300 MagMotors, giving good traction WEAPONS- 180 degree pneumatic axe with twin heads, appears similar to a walking cane. It is powered by 2 x CO2 tanks running at 160psi and uses the rack-and-pinion mechanism. The hammer can produce between 30-40 blows per fight and thanks to its hat shape, the 'brim' should help prevent too much spasming. SRIMECH- the axe NOTES- flies the Scotland flag STRENGTHS- fast and manouverable, a mighty thwack, decent pushing power WEAKNESSES- limited blows, scoops hardly on a Razer scale of effectiveness, stats may be complete rubbish

Anthony Politzi's statsSUNCUSTWeight: 100kg Shape: Like Diesector, but with inner wheels. Speed: 16mph Power: 4 NPC Black-Max motors on 36v. Battery power in a 8H 36v Sealed Lead Acid Battery. For CO2, 4 2kg tanks. Weapon: Hydraulic jaws [2 sheets of hardox, with some spikes embeddd in the bottom of the top panel and holes in the top of the bottom panel, so the spikes fit down into the holes when the weapon is activated] These can work inverted. They are on 3000 PSI with 5 tons of force. Armor: 12mm titanium. Wheels: 4 Note: There are some wedge panels on front of the robot on each side of the front. [Not pictured] GC: pretty much 0 all around due to the side and rear skirts and hydraulic jaws that work while inverted. Note: A meat and potatos bot, nothing fancy. Strengths: Great torque, good all arounder in everything else Weaknesses: Might need to excel at more than "just above average" at times. Also a tad on the slow side. Aquarius (5)Weight: 100kg Shape: Think Voltornic, but with 2 wheels. Motivation: Wheels Speed: 25mph Weapon: multi porpose 340 degree flipping arm that can flip both ways at 3000 PSI. Fueled by 5 2kg CO2 tanks. Drive:2 LEM 130s at 48v Power: 4 Panasonic 12vs. Armour: 12mm titanium. Ground Clearance: 5mm, 0mm at the very front Turning Circle: 0 Invertible: Yes Strengths: Fast, well armored, good weapon Weaknesses: Useless aginst a invertible bot in a arena that has high walls, May go out of control. img17.exs.cx/img17/1959/aquarius66um.jpg Terror Gear 3Weight: 100kg Speed: 26mph [Geared to torque] Power: 2 Panasonic 12vs power this. There are SIX Perm 032s in it. The first four make the drivetrain, and the last two power the weapon. All are on 24v. Weapon: A 15kg drum powered by 2 Perm 32s on 24v. Still has the little hinged wedges that helps to get under oppoments and rapidly hit them with the drum. Except this time, the two are connected together by a large sheet of metal [It dosen't get in the way of the drum] to make it much easier to get under things. Is fully invertible. Armor: 8mm titanium. GC: 0 at the front, 0 at the new side hinged skirts, 3 at the rear double-edged thwacker. Stregnths: Good torque, speed, and weapon. Weaknesses: Average armor. HellbrandShape: Like a H. A H with skirts everywhere but the front and back of the middle line so they don't get in the way of the hammer. Weapon: Here's the intresting part, proboblay a first: It's a hammer that can swing both ways up to 360 degrees, but on the front of the hammer [not the blunt end of it used for hitting, buton the part just above that] there's a sideways thin axe blade. Since it can go upwards too, it can double as a flipper. Will provide pic if nessacary. ALso one on the other end if inverted, so it can still flip. Speed: 17mph Invertible: Fully. Works the same way either side up. Power: 4 S28-400 mags on 24v. Nicad batteries. 2 2kg co2 tanks. Armor: 1cm titanium GC: 0 at the skirts, 4mm at the front and rear. TC: You know the drill by now, nearly every other vapour has the same answer. 0. Strengths: Good all-rounder, multi porpose bot Weaknesses: Might fall apart easily. Shovearound 2 (16)Weight: 100kg Armor: 12mm hardox. Speed: 28mph[geared towards acelleration] Weapon: Lifting forks that can lift 150kg Srimech: Invertible, so whats the point? Power: Driven by 4 48v LEM130s, it uses 4 12 volt battlepacks, giving it 48 volts total. Ground Clearence: 0mm around the hinged skirts, 0mm at the front of the lifting forks. Also, from the front sides, there are now small, thinner hhinged wedges than the side skirts. These assist in getting under the oppoment first, so it is hard for their wheels to move, and then the lifting rack takes them off the ground, ready for a trip around the arena. Also, it makes a good backup if the lifting rack dies on me during the match, or if the rear skirt is torn off. Also, it makes Shovearound nearly impossible to get under now. Note: To prevent shock damage, a large shock-absorbing pad is wraspped around the intertinals. Strengths: Fast, low, well armored, a great all-around pusher. Weaknesses: below average torque, completly useless in a arena with no hazards img27.exs.cx/img27/2657/shovearound21pm.jpg Bloody Tears 2Weight: 100kg Speed: 25mph, with Omni-Directional drive. Power: 4 cobalt astroflights on 24v. Fueled by 2 Panasonics. Armor: 1cm hardox 600. Weapons: 2 weapons, all by penutumatics, and all run at 400psi. 4 2kg tanks are in here, by the way. The first is the punching rack inside the plow. it's mainly made to scoop up oppoments, then see if I can toss them away any. Also might send anybody who charges head onto it right back. The second one, is that the rear hinged wedge has been converted into a rear CO2 flipper. It doesn't have too mcuh force, but is mainly used to stop any sneaky rammer attacks from the back and give them a flip instead. Also used to send overpowered spinners off course, and maybe go all over the arena and do massive damage to themselves. OOTAs are unlikley, but can happen aginst multibots or with a lucky fire. Also: All parts have a 5mm allunimum casing with severeal shock absorbers outside the casing to prevent rattiling on the inside, and if that won't help, then a steel wire binding all the compoments together will. Strengths: Strong armor, hard to attack or do anything to, hard to push despite low torque, great anti-rammer and anti-overpowered spinner. Weaknesses: Not much for offense, leads to alot of boring fights. GC: 0 all around thanks to plow/hinged wedges. Novastorm 2Speed: 20mph Armor: 10mm titanium. Power: a 48v Perm powered by 2 Panasonics. FOr the weapon, that is. The drivetrain is 4 S28 Magmotors at 48v. Weapon: The horizontil spinning bar has been ditched for a diagonal spinning bar at the front. This also required ditching of the hinged wedges. No big deal, as now it can self right via the rear lifter [Built inside the wedge, like Voltronic] It can also be used to lift oppoments into the bar if they try to approch from the rear. It won't help if the bar breaks and Novastorm 2 winds up on its side unhinged wedge, But that will rarley happen. The bar is also long enough to chip the side of a oppoment, sometimes. The lifter can lift 200kg. The bar spins at a high 4000 RPM, which can toss a thing or two around! It also weighs 10kg, and produces 78kjs. Shape: Erm...squarish? Tall with skirts. Strengths: Can now self right, powerful, speedy, well armored, can lift and push, good pusher. Weaknesses: Control might suffer a tad. Spawn Again(realie; S7)

Alex Holt's stats
Salamander III (1!)
Colour: Black and yellow Weight: 100kg Shape: A semi axle bot, the drive being inside the wheels, Wheels: Two large wheels, made of 7mm aluminium boron carbide, the drive is like a sides only FBS, ie only the rubber bit is driven, not the sides. Speed: 12mph, Turning circle: 0m Armour: 3mm hardox Power: Wheelchair motors Ground clearance: 6mm: but the disc is quite low so its difficult to actaully do much, its an axle bot after all. Weapons: A massive 22kg spinning disc made of hardox with holes drileld in to center the weight round the edge, it spins at 2000rpm and is aproximatly 80cm in diameter. It has two square hardox teeth to do the damage, the only problem being that its spin up time isnbt the fastest ever. Robot is heavily shock proofed to prevent damage fromown power. Srimech: Invertible. Strengths: Very strong weaponry, manouverable, difficult to get a hold of Weaknesses: High clearance and slow spin up speed of weapon
ArchAngel of the Abyss (10)
Colour: Silver and dark metallic purple Weight: 150kg Shape: a two layered full body spinner, the upper ring overlaps the lower so is only about 10cm of lower ring exposed now, meaning the upper ring can hit lower targets. Mobility: cheeky boy walking system for stability powered by 4 x C40-500 Magmotors on 36v. 6HP each. The legs are shorter than before and further from the outside of the robot (which is wider but shorter) meaning its unlikely that a robot will be able to get in to damage the legs, the feet are also no longer blade like but instead have feet about an inch thick which are rounded like pendulems (as required for the design) and have textured rubber feet giving the robot some traction. Speed: 12mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: 4mm aluminium boron carbide, the chassis is made up of triangular sections of aluminium boron carbide, the two outer rings chassis rings being 3mm hardox tubing. Ground clearance: 40mm under skirt (which is attached to base) skirt is the same foam skirt as tengu Weapons: a two layered full body spinner, the upper layer spins completly at 1000rpm with a practically instantanious spin up time, this defends the robot while the much more powerful lower flywheel gets up to a speed of between 1500 and 2500rpm depending on tourny rules. The lower wheel has two 5 kilo blades on each flywheel, each being 10cm long, the upper flywheel is slightly broader so that the blades will hit something before the lower as if the lower hit it would prevent it reaching speed. Accordign to Aarons power calculator the lower flywheel gives out 89Kj of pwoer at 1500rpm on the original although it is probably slightly higher this tim due to the increased diamter of the machine. The upper blades are smaller but due to the overhang reach about 2mm further than the lower, there are 4 x 2 kg blades on the upper, rounded so to knock away opponents. Srimech: A tengu like bar is the replacement for the heavy prongs which self righted it before, powered by linear actuators and pivoted at one side. The bar is 7mm aluminium boron carbide. Strengths: Very destructive, difficult to attack. 360 degree attacking. Weaknesses: Not many, but large width can make it a little difficult to do precision steering with.
Tengu VII
Mobility: 4 small inner wheels on a simple skid steer Colour: Green Weight: 100kg Shape: A short cylinder, with very slightly tapering top, tengu is not much shorter: around 60% of its previous height but around 15% larger radius. Speed: 18mph Turning circle: 0m Power: 2x 750 watt Bosch wiper motors at 24v. Armour: The armour is 4mm titanium, however, tengu has its unique anti spinner ring to give invulnerability for it against the dangers of the rest of the horizontal spinner community. grade As you can now see tengu has a setup two smaller blades per side rather than the single larger ones at the base, this is for reasons that will be explained later. Anyway, basically the result in this is that the spinner ring is mounted between the blades, therefore it goes from about 7% of the height from the ground up to about 85% height in this case, or in a normal setup from 7% to 95%, meaning it has very good coverage whichever way. With the blades above and below the rest is protected very well anyway. For the ring itself you know the drill: a ring of toughened polypropylene (a very tough industrial synthetic rubber) mounted on a metal frame mounted free on castors, this means that it spins completely independently and is not restricted in horizontal movement in any way. The effect: any hit from a horizontal spinning weapon will cause the spinner ring to spin by transferring the energy into that, which as it slows down will dissipate the energy harmlessly as heat and sound. It also means that should a robot with horizontal gripping weapon get a purchase tengu can still spin up while it is being held assuming it doesn’t crush too badly. This is all over a toughened stainless steel chassis which has triangular bars making the whole chassis appear to be made up of triangles, this design leads to extra strength against crushers. Read also skirts, as they are defensive too. The robot is very heavily shock proofed. Ground clearance: Under new skirts 6mm, however these skirts are a lot different to usual, basically they are a ring of aluminium foam with all the gap filled in with rubber beneath the robot, there are castors set into them to keep manoeuvrability, basically they not only protect from flippers but from low discs like spin dash. It also enables a slight bit of bounce so it can go to one side slightly without leaving a clearance. Its an inch thick form the outside (as in in plan view). How this has changed for Tengu 7 is there are now two set-ups for these skirts to suit opponents. The skirts when facing flippers lifting forks or anything which needs to get under the machine to turn tengu over are at the outside, as in level with the rest of the machine. However when facing robots which get under an opponent to make an attack easier, or attack underneath, ie. SD IV type saws, wedge crushers, front hinged flippers, robots with flywheels mounted up a wedge, they are now mounted 15cm in from the outside so the robot CAN get under, this however means that they will drive straight under with little resistance but get hit by the blades up their wedge damaging them in places which were previously inaccessible. Weapons: The robot is a full body spinner powered by a 4" magmotor at a gearing ratio of 6:1, although much wider than previous it still gives out somewhere in the region of 70-80Kj as t is much shorter, the spin up time is also still quite rapid. It hits using one of 4 sets of blades chosen depending on the opponent:
-->Two 7.5-kilo blades with go into the robot to prevent them being ripped off, each is about 15cm long. Used against most opponents except ones mentioned below. Used in melee even if only one opponent doesn't fit the required groups below. -->Triangular wedges, they skim along the ground at low clearances of about 1.5mm, and sharply curve upwards, they can be used to turn over bots with high clearances. They are made of high grade aluminium approximately 2cm thick. -->The dual hit weapons, basically there is a large titanium/tungsten alloy bar, which protrudes 30cm backwards from the spinning direction (ie anticlockwise), there is a large blade which is slightly curved at the end where it attacked (its the same bar so won't snap off in impact), at the far end of the bar there is a smaller blade which is more pointed and is barbed backwards. Therefore on hit the large blade will hit first, and almost instantaneously the second blade will stab in as well, causing two lots of damage, this is only to be used against robots which have long flat sides and light armour as it is primarily a weapon that looks impressive when it hits. It can also be used for removing skirts. -->The new ones: basically they are two standard blades mounted at the top and bottom of the side of the robot, making 4 blades in total (the blades shown in the picture) Basically they are used against robots with shells too tough for the blades to pierce, but are instead designed to knock an opponent away but also deliver as much force through the smallest area possible without off balancing the machine. This basically means that it’s far more likely to do severe shock damage inside to machines which aren’t likely to be damaged properly. Srimech: Bar srimech on top powered by linear actuators: the actuators are on the inside and the arm is aluminium boron carbide which means that its incredibly resistant to damage. The srimech actions now takes about 0.9 second. The bar is inset into the top of the machine so it is difficult to damage. Strengths: Very good weaponry, manoeuvrable, gyroscopic force makes it very difficult to flip. Variables make it suitable for any opponent. Weaknesses: Low traction.
Achilles
Weight: 100kg Shape: box, slightly thicker than tornado, not double sided, sides skirted like PA, back curved for more efficient srimech (like the original hydra), front is sloped at 45 degrees Wheels: Four inner wheels like tornados but the wheels are only half the width covered in highly treaded rubber grip to maximise traction, runs on a similar drive system to tornado as well. Motors: 2x Eteks at 48v. Speed: 18mph, Turning circle: 0m Armour: 5mm titanium and on top 10mm of vulcanised rubber to stop axes and crushers Ground clearance: 0mm at front and sides, 1mm at the back but difficult to get too due to overhanging curve. Weapons: Uses a single really powerful hydraulic lifting arm to life opponents of up to 200kg into the air and tip over up to 500kg. To get under the opponent it has a Bigger Brother style lifting plate which runs parallel to the ground resting upon it which give the machine a really low ground clearance. So it can get under virtually anything. On top of the lifter is a hook mechanism which looks like a tiny claw but performs the same gripping effect as the top mounted behemoth axe. It is not particularly sharp as it is not designed to cause damage, just to grip the opponent. The hydruallic mechanism can be exchanged for high pressure pnuematics against other rambots and things too fast to be allowed to be lifted. The pressure is 500psi in two canisters giving 1000psi in total, also with weight saved from the hyrdualics I remove the claw and add a t shaped bar at the back to self right whioch saves me using up C02. Strengths: Very durable, no particular weaknesses for opponent to exploit. Weaknesses: No damaging weapons.
Black Panther Queen
Colour: black Weight: 100kg Shape: Pyramidical, however the poitn has been sliced of relativly low to create a broad flat top for better balance and self righting. Wheels: 4 very small (2.5 inch diamater) cast aluminium internal wheels on a simple skid steer, The whole wheel mechanism is now sprung at the rear of the robot to give it more traction, the robot appears to be slightly weighted towards the back now. Motors: 2x 750 watt bosch motors at 36v. Speed: 24mph Turning circle: 0m Armour: 5mm alumium boron carbide. The front of the robot has 2 inches of titanium foam behind it to absorb shocks wel from head long attacks.l. Ground clearance: The sides now have skirts which are fixed on a pivot near the front and can slide up and down at the side at the back so even if the robot goes up in the air a little the skirts still descend, they are 5mm aluminium boron carbide. There is an under skirt, basically a short skirt beneath the robot that prevents things trying to attack the wheels by provideing another layer of protection. The rear skirt is a normal hinged one, sprung of course at 5 points down its length to prevent it from being got up. The armour no longer runs down to the ground and as such beneath the skirts at the side, the clearnace benath them being around 3mm Weapons: at the top there is a high-pressure pneumatic ax, on a similar mechanism to Terrorhurtz with one large and canister at maximum permitted pressure which fuels both weapons. The blade is a diamond edged folded steel blade modelled on a Japanese tanto to maximise piercing. The head is double sided to damage both those infront and behind. The axe shaft is considerably shorter than before, but it is pivoted mroe forward so it has a shrot reach on the backstroke, but a logner oen forward. The flipper is similar to that of bigger brother but split down the middle to accomodate the axe, it has too very low spatulas to get underneath, and the weapon is made from titanium to ensure it won't be damaged too easily. As it is set further back the pivot means that it is far mroe pwoerful, and can throw robots relativly high rather than chuck them over, it also has spikes on it simialr to bigger brother to allow improved damage on softer shelled opponents. It is also an effective srimech when the ax is forward, and the axe self rights from either position. Strengths: Effective attack combination, very fast, difficult to counter, very manouverable. Weaknesses: Comparativly weak pushing power.
Allanon
Weight: 100kg Shape: see digram, two cylinders attached by plates at top and bottom which are attached diretly to the chassis, invertible Mobility: A single wheel in each half is controlled separatly and is actually inset meaning that the width of the outside of the wheel is much wider than the wheel itself, the motor is set inside this gap to conserve space. The robot is kept in balance with castors (not shown in the diagram) with 8 on each pod (4 on top, 4 underneath) Motors: 2x Lem 130s at 24volts Speed: 25mph, Turning circle: 0m Armour: 5mm aluminium boron carbide Ground clearance: 0mm at front due to slope, which is very low and can probablky get beneath almost all skirts. Round the sides its about 0.4mm Weapons: Two 18kg fbs weapons, spinning at 1700rpm. They spin in the same direction and the teeth are slightly hooked so they will often spin the foe into each other to cause extra damage. Srimech: invertible Strengths: difficult opponent to attack. Very unusual design Weaknesses: Not the greatest pushing power by a long shot.
Baldur Gamma
Weight: 100kg Shape: A small invertible box, taller at the front and with a wedge front cut out to allow it to get under opponents. Basically look atthe picture Dimensions: 65cm x 55cm base, 45cm high Mobility: Drive on a skid steer, uses the same drive system as tornado however the front wheels are taller and the back are smaller and wider from more traction. The wheels have a 5mm hardox layer beneath the rubebr for traction. spikes can be added to improve tration on certain surfaces. There is a thick tungsten bar at the rear to give the wheels a little further protection. Motors: 2x Lem 130s at 46volts Speed: 17mph, Turning circle: 0m Armour: 5mm Titanium Kevlar composite over a thick hardox chassis, the chassis is broken up into triangles for more strength. Behind the front scoop-weapon of the robot there is an 4cm titanium foam to make it even tougher but lightweight due to the fact that it absorbs the hit as its foam. Over the front there is a 5mm hardox plate. All in all that means the front has 51mm of armour. This means that its essentially invulnerable to damage from the front. Everything inside is heavily shcokproofed to counter any kind of blow. Ground clearance: The front both ways up has a spatula in the weapon givign it 0mm clearance to allow it to get beaneath opponents, the one at the top is hinged inwards so the robot can't rest on the spatulas as it will fold in and allow the robot to fall onto its wheels. The titanium domes at the side prevent it resting on its side while also acting as joints for the weapon. Weapons: A lack of weapon was baldur beta was in my oppinion its downfall and as such Baldur Gamma has four options both based upon the same basic mechanism. The weapon shown in the render is the basic default weapon used against everything from full body spinners to toher rammers, its essentially a scoop powered by bellow pnuematics, a compact and lgiht weight system used to lift lorry wheels off the road, they are exceedingly strong. The armouring of the wedge is mentioend in the armour section meaning that is perfect for countering high power spinners. Due to the toughness of the wedge its more or less impossible to remove the scoop by force, the thick side domes are attached through the chassis and hold the scoop on. The weapon works both ways up and lifts to about 70 degrees up from horizontal. Alternativly for certain situations there is an alternative weapon, the weapon is inertd so it is convex instead of concave and covered in short hardox spines in 5 rows of ten. This means that the front has to be half as thick to allow for the weight, and although thisweapon is rarely used, against lighly armoured skirted opponents it can be very useful for turning an opponent over as it digs into their armour meaning gettign under them is not needed. This last option is certainly the most sneaky and is the most original, basically The front of the scoop is made much thinner, removing the titanium foam layer and halving the hardox, and all the weight is added onto either the left or the right hand side of the machine. Corresponding to which way a full body spinner spins all the armour will be placed on that side allowing the robot to ram into the spinning ring and hte toughened side take the hit allowing the robot to still get under on the same charge. This has to be used carefully as a larger machine such as MDU would be too dangerous, and as such it would be more sensible to put all the armour in one place, but against tempest for example this setup would be ideal. Srimech: Invertible Strengths: built like a tank everything is heavily enough to resist more or less any attack, small and nimble makes it more difficult to hit with things like axes or crushers. Generally just a bugger to dispose of. Weaknesses: No active damaging weaponry.

Aaron Knight's statsInfusionMotivation: 4 x 125mm wheels Speed: 0-12MPH [25MPH under Kinetic Boost] Clearance: 7.5mm (same inverted) 0mm at the front, the wedge scraps the floor. Weight: 100kg Height: 125mm Length: 800mm Width: 600mm Weapon: The weapon is a 28kg Hardox spinning ring (Ala MDU) powered by a LEM170 @ 36v. The rim rotates at 2000rpm and should spin up within 2 seconds max. The weapon is also a storage device for the drive. The spinning rim is connected to each side of the drive via a car air conditioner clutch, when the clutches are engaged, the 31kg kinetic storage bank(the spinning rim) transfers its energy into the drive train, giving it approximately double torque and speed for 2-3 seconds until the rim starts too loose speed and energy. This extra ‘kinetic’ boost is used to ram into opponents with the front 10mm thick Hardox 500 wedge (similar to the one on Warrior SKF but wider and less depth to it). The front wedge is rubber shock mounted to ensure it survives the biggest of hits. Drive: 2 x C40-500 Magmotors on 36v geared 7.5:1. The drive is also assisted via the spinning rim as explain above. Batteries: 120 x 3600mAh NiCad Cells made into 36v packs. Produces 36v @ 14.4Amp/Hours Armour: Front wedge is made entirely out of 8mm Hardox 500, the top and bottom of the robot is made out of 8mm Titanium/Vandium, The ring is made out of 10mm Hardox 400 with inner bracing to the perimeter bearing. Inner bulk heads are made from 20mm polycarbonate and 10mm aluminium. Notes: Invertible, speed when needed and generally well controlled for a spinner. Ram or Spin, Infusion aims to win! RogueMotivation: Wheeled Speed: 18.84KMH (11.775MPH) Weight: 91.39kg Height: 248mm Length: 523mm Width: 1040mm Ground Clearance: 10mm under disc teeth and increases to 20mm at the back. Weapon: The weapon is a 24.61 kg, 580mm (From tooth tip to tooth tip) diameter flywheel mounted on a 20 degree angle. The flywheel is powered by a 6.8kg 125cc 5.3Kw (7.06HP) Husqvana chainsaw with modified Astroflight electric starter motor. The chainsaw has a peak RPM off 8500rpm and is geared 3.4:1 with a kevlar innerbound belt drive to produce a flywheel speed of 2500rpm. The chainsaw has a centrifugal clutch that prevents the flywheel from spinning at idle and prevents the chainsaw from stalling by cutting out at 500-600rpm. The weapon has a tip speed of 273.14Km/h while producing around 32Kj's of Kinetic Energy. The teeth are based on a shark tooth design where a inner concave to cut though metal much quicker and easier. The teeth are CNC machine blocks of Hardox 650 Wareplating to maintain a near perfect cutting edge. Drive: The drive is a pair of S28-400 Magmotors coupled to a pair of 8:1 aluminium planetary gearbox which gives a final output speed of 500rpm at the drive shaft. The wheels are 200mm (8inch) Colson wheels with 3.25 mm Hardox 450 protection plates and 8mm thick Grade 5 Titanium/Vandium domes with tip spikes. The wheels are mounted on 40mm hollow, 5mm wall Stainless Steel shafts for maximum strength. Batteries: 2 x 24v 3600mAh NiCD Battlepacks producing 24v @ 7200mAh supply (Enough for 10mins of solid driving, 8 mins of driving with several motor starts) Monocoque (Chassis/Armour): The monocoque (chassis & armour combined) is a fully tig welded 8mm thick Grade 5 Titanium/Vandium with support braces and inner bulk heads for maximum strength and rigidness. Electronics: Runs a RoboWars.org BMC speed controller with Hitec Focus SS-3 75mhz PCM 3ch Radio and a 3-axis computer Gyro for maxium control and handling. Uses 150amp rated Anderson power pole connectors and locking pins. Electronics are shock mounted and mounting in a floating style encased in HD (High Density) foam. Notes: Can selfright via off balance weight distribution whe upside down and is added by the contact of the flywheel on the floor. Weight Distribution: Disc = 24.61kg Wheels = 4.21kg Chainsaw = 6.8kg Chainsaw starter motor = 1.6kg Gearboxes = 5.6kg Batteries = 2.46kg Monocoque body = 24.81kg Weapon mounting and weapon drive components = 4.1kg Electronics = 1.2kg Drive motors = 6kg Nuts'n'Bolts + Other pieces = 10kg Total = 91.39kg Mass Disctruction RevolutionMotivation: Wheels Speed: 12MPH Ground Clearance: 10mm Weight: 100kg Height: 140mm Length: 700mm Width: 700mm Weapon: MDR sports a nifty 32kg Hardox 500 Spinning Rim. The spinning rim is powered by a custom built 200mm diameter, 15HP High Torque sensored brushless motor on 57.6v and is geared 4:1, rotating the spinning shell at 4000rpm and should spin up in around 2 seconds to max speed. Drive: 4 x custom built 2HP hub motors (Basically a brushless motor built inside the wheels with direct drive). Wheels are coated in urethane rubber to get more traction. The combined drive has 8HP peak power. Batteries: 80 x 2300 A123 Lithium Nano-Phosphate Batteries producing 57.6v @ 11.5Ah Armor: 3.2mm Hardox 450 Notes: Invertible and easily to drive. Knightrous WedgeMotivation: 6WD Shape: A wedge shape like SJ (http://www.buildersdb.com/botpics/845.JPG) Speed: 40MPH Weight: 100kg Height: 320mm Length: 750mm Width: 650mm Weapon: A speedy hydraulic front hinged lifter/flipper (0.25 second to do the full 120 degree movement) which is powered by a hydraulic motor geared 12:1 onto a crank shaft that lever on the lifting arm. (Diagram can be provided for Writer). The front wedge is made out of 10mm Hardox 500 and scraps the ground at 0mm. Chassis/Armour: 5mm Hardox 600 sides, 8mm Titanium base and top. 3.25mm Hardox 450 floating skirts on the sides and back. Drive: The drive is a hydra-static drive train. It has a 42HP Honda CR125 motor bike motor (2005 model) with a custom made swash plate hydra-static pump bolted to the motor output shaft. The hydra-static drive provides full motor torque at 0MPH right up to 40MPH (Electric motors and normal hydraulic drives cannot provide this feat, if you google hydra-static, you’ll find out why). 6 x 120mm wheels that are 100mm wide provide the maximum traction when coated in 15mm of Urathane Rubber (Volcalon). Notes: The robot is invertible. Gyro-stabalised and has an active traction control system build from a pair of 18X picaxe chips and some custom software and sensors. This will help maintain maximum control and handling at high speeds. Can self right with lifter and has 0mm ground clearance at the skirts and 15mm under the body. The robot also has rate limiting on the radio, so top speed can be set prior to the battle, to suit the opponent(s) FragmentorMotivation: 2WD Speed: 15MPH Weight: 100kg Height: 200mm Length: 650mm Width: 750mm Weapon: 15kg Flywheel powered by a Honda CR125 Motorbike motor. The CR125 motor produces 42.3BHP @ 11500rpm, it also has a HTI 220w 12v geared starter motor attached. The flywheel spins at 4500rpm producing 80Kj’s of kinetic energy, plenty to dint and tear small pieces out of Hardox, rip holes in titanium and carve aluminium like paper. Spins up to full speed in under 3 secs, plenty of time to spin up between attacks. Drive: 2 x Lemco 130 motors under volted at 24v to produce a zippy and moderately torque filled drive. Batteries: 24v @ 6amp NiCD Packs Armour: 4mm Hardox 400 on the sides/front/back, 8mm Titanium on the top and bottom and 15mm Polycarb internal bulk heads Notes: Extra heavy mega duty shock proofing against it’s own weapon. Uses a Gyro to stabilise the drive. Invertible. Advantages: Fast drive, powerful weapon, moderate armour and well controlled Disadvantages: Not a mega pushy bot, spins like Warhead when it hits an opponent. Megabyte(realie) Warrior SKF (8)(realie) Mass Disctruction Ultimate 4Motivation: Wheels Speed: 12MPH (480MPH Tip Speed) Weight: 100kg Height: 170mm Diameter: 700mm Weapon: The robot itself is the weapon. It uses its drive and a custom made micro processor system similar to that used in a fellow translational spinner called Cyclone Bot to translate itself around the arena creating a “Vortex of Destructionâ€. Using 6 Hardox “enlightened†teeth, it tears its opponent to pieces when the teeth collide at a sub-sonic speed of 480MPH. Causing certain death to the opponent. Drive: 3 x custom built brushless wheel hub motors, each motor is rated for 25HP @ 57.6v and weighs 12.8kg. The motors are protected with a current limiting circuit and a thermal protection system which will ensure the motors don’t over heat. Since these are wheel hub motors, they do not have any gearing, they are specifically wound for low rpm, high torque to meet the extreme requires of this designs application. MDU 4 sports an advanced drive control system to that of Cyclone Bot as it uses motor and wheel sensors to travel and translate in the most efficient possible way, minimising energy loss. Batteries: 160 x 2300mAh A123 Lithium Nano-Phosphate cells producing 57.6v @ 23Ah. The packs are protected by a system like the drive which give both current and temperature protection. The packs are re-enforced between the cells with Polypropylene cell holders and will prevent them from breaking during the impacts. Armour: 4mm Hardox 500 with stainless steel welding built in a monocoque design with triangle shape and inner supportive bulkheads. 3.2mm Hardox 450 top and bottom armour. Notes: The 4th incarnation of the MDU series. This one is the smallest, most compact version yet, also the most strongest mechanically of the series. Upgraded for the utmost reliability, All achieved by going to new technologies like Lithium Nano Phosphate batteries and Brushless Outrunner motors. This version should still be able to pump out the massive hits, but should be able to do it hit after hit after hit after hit without failure. The MDU series has always been a series that has always raised the bar, and this version meets and exceeds that standard! Pic: www.crystalnode.net/images/MDU4.png

Frank Goacher's stats
The Crashing Bore
Shape: Box at the back with a low wedge at the front. The wedge is at a smaller angle than before, giving it a slightly longer “nose”, plus it now has a CM long extension on the front which goes flat along the ground, allowing it to get under anything, skirted or otherwise. Speed: 12 MPH Weight: ~97 KGs Dimensions: 140 X 70 X 40 CM (LWH) Ground clearance: 0 at front, 0 at sides with side and rear skirts, 1 CM without, all round. The sides of the skirts are shaped to leave absolutely no gap, except when the robot is turning. Weapon 1: A mousetrap style blade, only instead of a flat piece of metal, it’s jagged like ^^^^^^^, meaning instead of one big blade, it comes down as lots of little points meaning it can do more damage thanks to the area/damage ratio rule. A huge difference though… Now it’s Etek powered instead of running on gas. The blade is retracted by use of a different winding mechanism, so retraction is slower to prevent self harm. Weapon 2: An inch thick diamond tipped industrial drill. Extends to 6 inches outside the robot, and comes out of a hole in the wedge. Theoretically, it can cut through more or less anything, but is mainly used for drilling through trapped opponents. Will provide diagram of extension mechanism if asked. Weapon 3: Two 20 CM spikes at the rear, which rest along the floor. The main function is to stop the force of the trap making the robot jump around, but they can also be used as a rear wedge thanks to the shape. Armour: 6 mm grade 5 Ti with a 4 mm polycarb laminate. Srimech: The trap. Power: Six nicads in series power the motors to 36 volts, another four power the Etek at 48 volts, while a seventh runs the miscellaneous stuff like the gyro. Wheels: Four indoor go-kart wheels. Provide excellent traction on indoor surfaces. These are stuffed rather than pumped, so a puncture won't slow it down too much. Motors: 4 S28-400 magmotors at 36 volts. Extras: It now also features Tempest style shock proofing. Safety link: Under a hatch at the top. Strengths: Psychotic weaponry, design evolved to eliminate as many weaknesses as possible. Therefore, it’s extremely difficult to knock out. Weaknesses: High ground clearance under the skirts, not as manoeuvrable as unskirted 2 wheeled robots.
Tempest Evil-er-oution (14)
Shape: Disc shaped Weight: ~100 KGs Size: 65 x 20 CM (DH) Speed: 15 MPH Ground clearance: 1 CM all round Motors: The two wheels are powered by S28-300 Magmotors at 24 volts, but the weapon is powered by a LEM 130 Lynch motor at 48 volts. These are powered by battlepack NiCDs. Wheels: Two. These have only semi-good traction, to prevent it staying near the opponent after striking. Again, they’re stuffed instead of pumped. Weapon: Full body spinner, can reach speeds of 2000 RPM. It now has interchangeable tooth options. Options 1,2 and 3 have four teeth, and are the classic backward hook shape, while option 4 has two and are flatter. Option 1: Short 2 CM cutting teeth, for robots with weak armour and no wedge. I’m not expecting to use these much. Option 2: These are basic 6 CM teeth. These should still give Tempest enough range to out-strike other spinners and hit wedges before they get in under the main body. Option 3: This is a set of 15.5 CM teeth. Used for shallow wedges and spinners with longer teeth. Option 4: Two 25 CM teeth, running as close to the floor as possible. These are used against machines with high GC’s, enabling it to chop up the wheels and damage the drive chain better. Like option 1, I’m not expecting to use these much, but y’never know. Armour: 8 mm grade 5 Ti for the rim, 1 CM Aluminium at the top and bottom. Srimech: Runs either way up. If the weapon is running, it can't stay on its side. Extras: Deliberately bounces off of things it hits, so that it's just about impossible to push, and also has time to spin up to a damaging speed again. There is rubber tape at all places where two pieces of metal join, and it has rubber shock pads mounted at strategic places on the inside, and the important components are foam mounted, allowing it to absorb its own impacts very well. Safety link: In the centre of the machine, accessible at both top and bottom thanks to panels. Strengths: Damaging weapon, it’s very reliable, is hard to predict and cannot be shoved around. Weaknesses: Is also pretty hard to control because I’ll never know exactly where it lands. Wheels are exposed to axes, but are stuffed so won’t take too much damage from them.
The Disc 5
Shape: It’s still the “bar-bell of doom” shape we’ve all come to know and… Know. The framework around the disc itself is gone now, for two reasons. First off, people had trouble imagining what shape it was and kept thinking they could effectively latch on to it, and secondly because… Well, basically the weapon itself is more or less indestructible anyway so I may as well save some weight. Anything powerful enough to damage the disc won’t be put off by Ti bars. It still has the side spikes, but these are no longer the removable links. Size: 60X110X60 CM (LWH) Weight: ~100 KGs Speed: 10 MPH. Ground clearance: Under the wheel protectors, it’s 5 mm. Weapon: 27 KG spinning disc, powered by one LEM 130 Lynch motor and going at 2500 RPM. What’s so special about this new version is… It has no teeth! Rather, it has no detachable teeth. Instead, the teeth are actually a part of the disc itself, so it would have to be shaped specially. The energy output is 36 KJ’s which, while modest by vapour ‘bot standards should still be enough to make a mess of things. Weapon 2: The outer axle the disc is attached to now also spins along with the disc. This has several little tungsten spikes for teeth, but it’s more a defensive feature than an offensive one… Try grabbing hold of that Wheels: Shock horror… It now technically has six wheel drive, although it only runs on four at a time. In an idea stol… borrowed from Gigavirus, there are three wheels on each side, and they are arranged in a triangular fashion, so when it’s flipped it will inevitably land on two. It can’t balance on just one, as the weight will drag it over. Now it actually has something to push against as it stops, it becomes as easy to control as anything can be with a huge gyroscopic force in the middle of it. The wheels are made of 1 CM solid grade 5 Ti. Wrapped and glued around that is 3 CMs of soft compound rubber, allowing it to squish downwards a bit and absorb its own hits, and around all of that are vulcanore (or however you spell it) rubber tyres to provide traction. These are protected from disc attacks by two semi-circular wheel guards, so each wheel unit still looks like a ball. Chassis: The main chassis consists of one solitary 1 CM thick 4 mm box section hardox bar. Slotted over that is a secondary axle, inside which are the batteries. There are also two other triangular chassis’ supporting the wheels. These are made from 4 MM 1 CM box section Ti bars with weight reducing holes. Armour: The true axle and chassis is a 4 MM hardox bar. The battery axle is 5 mm aluminium. The semi circular wheel protectors and side spikes are 6 mm grade 5 Ti. The disc itself is 2.25 CM’s of Titanium, and the spinning axle is 4 mm grade 5 Ti. Srimech: Totally invertible. Controls won’t even have to be reversed after flipping, meaning it can just go straight back on the attack. Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors at 24 volts. Safety links: It still needs two. These are at the very ends of the battery axle, accessible by holes next to the spinning axle. Technically it’s possible to hit these with a toothpick style axe, but in the middle of a battle, when both robots are moving around and you’re in a control pod at least 20 feet away… Well, it’s not going to happen. Strengths: Very hard to hit, and hits very hard. Also thanks to the new wheels, it’s about as controllable as something can be when it’s got a gyroscopic force smack bang in the middle of it. Also thanks to the shape of the wheels, other spinners shouldn’t be able to hurt it as much. Weaknesses: To be honest I’m not sure… I haven’t kill analysed this new version as much as the old version, so it may still be possible to surprise me with strategies I haven’t thought of a good counter for
Never-Seen-Before-Fic-Robot-X
Shape: Invertible box wedge with rounded sides, plus side and rear skirts. Weight: Dependant on weapon set-up, but the heaviest is 100 KGs Speed: 20 MPH Weapons: Interchangeable weapons selected from the below list:
1: Basic horizontal 5 KG spinning bar. This goes around at 1500 RPM.
2: Electric 4 mm hardox pincers with weight reducing holes. These have 5 CM soft compound rubber pads on the tips, and are used against FBS’
3: The classic solid hardox scoop with controlling latch, weighing in at a massive 20 KG’s. Mainly used against flywheel wielding nasties.
4: Electric lifting plate, able to tip over 150 KG’s… I’m sure I can find a few things to use this on
5: 12 KG spinning drum spinning at 3500 RPM, powered by a LEM-130 (my favouritest spinner motor) at 48 volts. Probably won’t damage much, but could tip some robots over.
Weapon attachment method: I have changed this. First off the weapons are slotted on, and a 1.5 CM titanium locking bar is pushed through the side of the machine, and then held in position with two 5 mm hardox bolts. The under-section of the weapon is then attached with more bolts, holding it on very firmly and should prevent the weapon from being torn off (which as far as I know never happened, but no sense taking chances). Armour: 5 mm grade 5 ti. Ground clearance: 0 at the front no matter which wedge is being used. 4 mm at the side, and 6 mm at the rear. If using the pincers, the front GC is 4 mm. The skirts give it 0 mm all round, and are hinged so flop over when flipped. Wheels: 4 indoor go-kart wheels which are stuffed rather than pumped. Motors: 2 LEM 130’s powered at 48 volts. Srimech: Invertible. Safety link: Under a hatch at the rear. Strengths: Good armour, interchangeable weapons. Quick. Weaknesses: May not perform as well in melees. Might still be possible for weapons to come off mid-fight, but I doubt it’ll happen.
I.D.S.F.A.
Shape: Similar to Raging Knightmare Weight: 100 KGs Speed: 20 MPH GC: 0 at front, 1 CM at back and sides. 0 with skirts at back and sides. Drive: 4 wheel drive, powered by two LEM 130 Lynch motors at 48 volts. Weapon 1: A front hinged flipper on the front, using two 120 stroke, 80 bore rams on 250 PSI. Don’t know how much it should be able to tip over, but should manage other robots fine. There is a lead weight bolted inside the machine in the far front to give it a little weight and ensure it can get under other machines, along with a sharp strip on the front to let it slide under skirts. There is also a speed bump on the end of the flipper to make sure fast robots like Storm 2 can’t just drive straight over it. Weapon 2: A rear steel horizontal disc. This weighs in at 15 KGs, and deals out 10 KJ’s. Armour: The front flipper plate is made of 4 MM hardox, and the rest of the machine is 4 MM grade 5 Ti. Skirts: Made of 3 mm Grade 5 Ti. These are held down with springs, but not the dual sprung monsters as seen on SpinVerter. Just regular springs like on Storm 2 to make them a little harder to get under than regular hinged skirts. Srimech: The flipper. The weight installed in the front of the machine makes sure it rests on the flipper and not on its back, for more efficient self righting. Strengths: Fast drive and good flipper mean it could get under and throw over opponents before they can even move. Weaknesses: Armour and rear flywheel compromised for weight.
Enter the May Tracks (7)
Shape: Like Comengetorix, but with more of a wedge on the front. Size: 130X60X18 CM (LWH) Speed: 20 MPH Weapon: Rear hinged flipper, powered by two 80X140 rams on 150 PSI. It has a flat extension plate, extending the front by 2 CM, and allowing it to defeat most skirts. It has a recycler system as well, theoretically giving it unlimited fire power. The sunglasses are made of metal, and are attached to the top of the flipper to stop robots going straight over the top like Storm 2 did with Firestorm. Armour: 3.25 MM hardox. Mobility: Steel tracks, with rubber strips glued in place to provide traction. These are hidden inside the robot, meaning only an axe can attack them, after flipping the machine. As there are very few Axe/flipper combos I should be safe from this If I have to go up ramps, I can remove some hardox plates to expose the tracks and make it extremely manoeuvrable as only a tracked machine can be, Motors: 2 S28-400 Mags at 24 volts. Ground clearance: 0 at front, 5 at back and sides. Strengths: Good traction, has a lot of flips, and all-round toughness. It can keep going on and on and on and on and… Weaknesses: Tracks are exposed when flipped,
Starstorm 2
Shape: Dome, with a spike on top in the centre to allow it to self right. Colour: Black with stars painted on. Weapon: Full body flipper. It uses three 80 bore X 160 stroke rams, powered on 500 PSI. When the weapon fires, the entire lid of the robot shoots upwards. The aim of this robot is: Shoot it high, watch it die. Because of the shape it’s likely to throw opponents up rather than long, meaning a high drop but it will land near me, so with decent driving I can keep getting under them as they fall. Won’t be able to OOTA unless pretty close to the wall though Weapon 2, more or less: Four skirts completely surround the machine. These can be raised and lowered using linear actuators. They’re raised when cruising, but when I want to get under something, the skirt in question is lowered as I attack, allowing me to slide under nicely. The skirts can also be lowered as a defence mechanism. When lowered fully, the skirts go flat against the floor, so most wedges will go straight over and onto the dome, and can then be launched. Armour: 4 mm hardox with weight reducing holes for the dome, 3.25 hardox for the skirts and 6 mm Polycarb for the base. Drive: Four wheel drive, powered by two S28-400 Magmotors. Ground clearance: Variable depending on skirt level. Minimum is 0 mm, maximum is 5 mm. Under the front and rear GC though are rollers, allowing it to move up and down ramps easily. Turning circle: 0. Srimech: The lid will tip it over. Thanks to the spike, this will work 100% of the time. Extras: Contains Tempest level shock absorption. Safety link: The top spike. Strengths: Hopefully very high powered flipper, reliable, tough armour. The shape of the armour will make spinners glance off rather than actually damaging it. Also 360 degree offensive/defensive capability. Weaknesses: Can be out-pushed, and like any totally new ideas I’m only 50% sure it’ll work. Also thanks to the flipping method, opponents will likely go up high, but not along very much so may struggle OOTA-ing a bit.

Mousey 4
SHAPE- Shaped like a mouse with a sort of like front wedge, formed by what would be the mouse’s face/nose COLOR- blue, well the fur is, the armour is silver. WEIGHT- 100kg SPEED- 13mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front 6mm for the rest ARMOUR- 5mm grade 5 titanium over that is 3mm fur, which extends over the back to form a tail WHEELS- 4 inner wheels, like those on storm 2 POWER- s28-400 on 24volts WEAPONS- flipper on the wedge which self rights the robot NOTES- covered in blue fur and has two fire storm style flippers to get it off the wall if flipped on wall STRENGTHS- good armour under fur, fur can jam discs WEAKNESSES- Limited CO2, it’s a mouse
Disco 5
Shape: Low Wedge with small rear wedge Motivation: it now uses four storm 2 style Vulcalon wheels Speed: 12.5 Mph Weight: 100kg Height: 300mm to top of body, 600mm to the top of the disc Length: 1300mm Width: 600mm Weapon: 500mm Vert. flywheel @ 3000rpm. Has a 4.00 second spin up time due to the C40-500 Magmotor on 36v with a 2:1 twin tension cog belt reduction. The flywheel produces 31.5Kj’s at maximum RPM but is lethal at around 1 second. The second weapon is also the srimech, this weapon is a low pressure pneumatic flipper running on 10Bar (145psi) running into a single 80mm bore ram. This produces 509kg at the ram and is then transferred into the flipper with a leverage point ratio of 1:1. This is a forward facing flipper like FireStorm and will have no problem toppling the heaviest of robots. Chassis: 4mm Grade 5 Titanium monocoque with extra 5mm Titanium ribs to give it more rigidity. Drive: 2 x S28-400 Magmotors @ 36v with a 10:1 Mod 2 spur gear reduction Batteries: 90 x 3000mAh NiCD cells producing 36v @ 9amp Color- the robot and skirts and flipper are blue and the disc is yellow Clearance- it has 0mm at the front due to the wedge it has 0mm at the sides due to skirts its 6mm with out it also has a 0mm at the rear due to the small wedge which is there to replace the problem of the skirt being flipped into the disc. The skirts are NOT hinged and held down by torsion-springs so they shouldn’t spring up and the rear one shouldn’t go up into the disc Notes- The flywheel is at the back off the robot it goes over the back of the wedge so if I can get a robot up the wedge far enough it will be hit by the disc. The skirts stop the robot landing on its side.
The Deer
SHAPE- Invertible box COLOR- the robot and claws are a dark green color WEIGHT- 100kg DIMENSIONS- 1m x 80cm x 25cm (l,w,h) SPEED- 15mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- It has 6mm at the front due to the claws and has 0mm at the sides and rear due to the skirts, without skirts 6mm. The skirts also work both ways up. ARMOUR- 3.6mm hardox MOVEMENT- 4 inner wheels that make the robot invertible POWER- 2 x S28 Magmotors on 24v. WEAPONS- it has a front pair of horizontal hydraulic crushing claws set up like deers antlers (shaped like those you find in extreme destruction.) The claws have 3.5 tones of crushing force on the front tips of the claws at the middle is 6tones and right at the back it has 8 tones of crush. The claws are powered by hydraulics through a 120mm bore rams at 3000psi NOTES- invertible, wide base means the deer wont topple while crushing STRENGTHS- Very powerful weapon WEAKNESSES- it could be turned into venison
Star 69
SHAPE- It’s a shaped like a five point star but the points are mounted round a inner circle so the points of the star spin round COLOR- yellow WEIGHT- 100kg SPEED- 19mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- about 9mm but is lower under the bottom teeth where it is about 3-4mm ARMOUR- it has 4mm grade 5 titanium MOVEMENT- it uses 6 inner storm 2 wheels DRIVE- it uses 2 x lem 130’s BATTERIES- 4 x 30 cell 36volt 3ah Sanyo NiCad packs WEAPONS- as I said it has an outer spinning ring so is a fbs the ring is powered by a C40-500 Magmotor, the points on the star each have sharpened teeth on them and it spins in a clockwise direction, each point has 3 teeth on it, one on the bottom for tearing at skirts in wheels, one in the middle for body work and that, and one at the top for aerials and tall robots. SRIMECH- Invertible, points and blades stop it from sticking on side NOTES- according to frank the name is rude, first star shaped robot STRENGTHS- Powerful weapon and drive WEAKNESSES- people not wanting to call it back?
Panicking
SHAPE- Low invertible box COLOUR- Yellow except for the lifting forks which are black WEIGHT- 98kg DIMENSIONS- 65cm x 60cm x 15cm (Length x Width x Height) SPEED- 23mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0 mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 0 mm at front due to forks, 0 mm at sides and rear due to skirts 7 mm with out, the skirts are hinged so flop over when the robot is flipped ARMOUR- 12mm polycarbonate MOVEMENT- panic now uses 6 Vulcalon wheels to give extra pushing power POWER- 2 x LEM130’s on 36 volts WEAPONS- on the front the robot has a pair of invertible lifting forks, the forks are sort of like those on panic attack, the forks are powered by 2 linear actuators STRENGTHS- Low ground clearance WEAKNESSES- previously lost to spinners!
Rammy Mk 3
SHAPE- Invertible box with front hinged wedge COLOUR- Blue WEIGHT- 94kg SPEED- 20mph TURNING CIRCLE- 0mm GROUND CLEARANCE- 0mm at the front due to wedge this is both ways, 0mm at sides and rear due to skirts 8mm without, the skirts can be taken off if they aren’t needed for the fight ARMOUR- 4mm Hardox MOVEMENT- it has 6 inner vulcalon wheels POWER- it uses 2 x lem 130’s WEAPONS- The front wedge can lift up and down powered by a linear actuator, this is only used if the opponent is winning to help get aggression points from the judges. The wedge is hinged so works both ways up however the lifter isn’t as affective when the robot is flipped though it still works SRIMECH- Invertible NOTES- Rammy finally comes to the fra after entering frw 8 and some arc tourneys STRENGTHS- Compact in size, great pushing power WEAKNESSES- Comparatively Light

Andrew Jackson's statsStorm II(realie; check www.teamstorm.com/ for info) Son of Ripper 5.0Shape: Tall box shape with a front wedge and sloped sides. The sides are also skirted and the front wedge has a Firestorm style ‘wedge extender’. Colour: Light grey with a dark grey flipper and SOR across the front in red. Dimensions: 700mm x 800mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: +/- 100kgs (Unsure of the actual weight at the moment) Motivation: Two CNC Aluminum wheels with holes for weight reducing. There are two choices of tyre that can be used on the edge of these wheels. The first choice are bonded with Vulkalon rubber for superb grip on metal surfaces. The second choice are made with standard rubber with small screws poking out for extra grip on wooden surfaces. Power: Each wheel is driven by an LEM130 motor. I chose these for two reasons, the first reason being the S28-150’s weren’t up to the job and were lacking in the power department. The second reason was their great power to weight ratio was perfect for what SOR wanted. More power for a weight only around a kilo heavier than before. The motors are run at 36v providing decent speed and torque and not going overkill on battery weight. Speed: 12mph, for a decent running speed and great acceleration. Turning Circle: 0, with tank style steering. Ground Clearance: 1mm under the front wedge and 10mm elsewhere. However the front wedge extender and the skirts mean SOR now has a 0mm ground clearance all the way round (other than the back, but that has the disc). Skirting: 4mm thick Titanium/Vanadium, hinged to the body with a rotary joint. Armour: 3.25mm thick Hardox monocoque. Weapon: The usual rear hinged flipping arm at the front that goes across the top and then down the front wedge and finally forming a horizontal Bigger Brother like flipping platform (only the width of the front). This is powered by an 80mm bore ram and CO2 at 145psi contained in two 2.2kg canisters giving over 30 flips in a fight. At the rear there has been a bit of a modification. The rear spinning weapon remains, only this time it is a Hardox horizontal spinning bar. This is powered by an S28-400 Magmotor at 24v. SRIMECH: Invertible and the flipper can self right it. Strengths: Compact, powerful, manoeuvrable, low clearance, tough armouring, decent weapons, can self right and work inverted. A great all rounder basically. ForcePower 5.0Shape: Pretty much identical to the S7 version of Tornado, a compact box with an angled rear for helping to drive up ramps. There is no wedge at the front, it is flat. Dimensions: 800mm x 800mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: 100kgs Motivation: Four CNC Aluminum wheels with holes for weight reducing. There are two choices of tyre that can be used on the edge of these wheels. The first choice are bonded with Vulkalon rubber for superb grip on metal surfaces. The second choice are made with standard rubber with small screws poking out for extra grip on wooden surfaces. Power: Two LEM200’s are used to drive the wheels. The motors are powered by 250 C-Cell NiCad batteries, which produces the 60v needed to make the ~100hp. Speed: The speed is kept down to 15mph to give much better control of the power and drive train, giving it an advantage against fast robots. Turning Circle: The Tornado style skid steer means FP5.0 can turn on the spot. Ground Clearance: 10mm all the way round, both ways up. Skirting: 6mm thick Ti/V skirts can be attached to the sides using a rotary joint. Armour: 6mm thick Hardox monocoque. Weapon: Front invertible wedge and ramming force. SRIMECH: Invertible, the rear is shaped so it cannot land there and the side skirts stop it resting there. When the skirts are removed bars are added to the side to have the same effect. BreedClusterbotName: You Can Plant A HouseShape: Wedge with rounded back and sides Colour: Brown Dimensions: 450mm x 450mm x 200mm Weight: 50kgs Motivation: Two Hardox wheels with Vulklon tyres Power: Two LEM130s at 48v Speed: 12mph Turning Circle: Zero Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 10mm at sides and back Armour: 3.25mm Hardox monocoque Weapon: Small vertical drum at the rear powered by a S28-400 @ 36v SRIMECH: Invertible Strengths: Double team advantage Name: You Can Build A TreeShape: Wedge with rounded back and sides Colour: Green Dimensions: 450mm x 450mm x 200mm Weight: 50kg Motivation: Two Hardox wheels with Vulklon tyres Power: Two LEM130s at 48v Speed: 12mph Turning Circle: Zero Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 10mm at sides and back Armour: 3.25mm Hardox monocoque Weapon: A linear actuated lifting arm (works both ways up like Rick) SRIMECH: Invertible Strengths: Double team advantage GigaByte EvilutionShape: Identical of the shape of TAN this time (the wheels have been moved outside the claws to clear up the movement problems when the claws are closed) Dimensions: 750mm x 1000mm x 200mm (L x W x H) [Weapon open] Motivation: Two big 10mm thick Hardox wheels at the back end, with Vulkalon tyres. Not a lot is going to break them. Drive: Two LEM130 Lynch Motors powered by a NiCad BattlePack producing 36v giving around 18hp to push other robots with. Speed: It can reach a top speed of around 15mph. Added control this time. Turning Circle: Can turn on the spot with the weapon opened or closed. Ground Clearance: 10mm all the way around. Armour: 5mm thick Hardox WearPlate welded together to form a monocoque, all the edges are rounded off to make sure spinners can’t catch on and rip the panels off. Weapons: The whole body works as a pair of claws just like Tough as Nails. The claws are shut in under a second using a 80mm bore 200-stroke ram. The ram is fired using Nitrogen at a pressure of 1000psi, which is contained in two 2.2kg canisters, which should mean there are enough shots for a fight. To make everything even faster there are two 1.1kg buffer tanks, which means things are going to find it hard escaping once they are between the claws. This should be able to cause major to damage to most robots armour. The ends of the claws are made of sharpened Titanium so they can slice into robots better. The whole set-up is capable of producing a bone crunching 3500kg of force at the ram. Self-Righting Mechanism: Can work just as well inverted. Notes: Everything is shock mounted and rubber is positioned around all the parts so it can survive the impact caused by the attacks. Wedga Revo 2.0 (11)Shape: A cut off wedge like Steg 2, instead of the wedged front these is now a scoop that the lifting arm rests inside in its normal position. The sides and back are all slightly slanted to deflect spinners. Dimensions: 800mm x 700mm x 150mm (Length x Width x Height) Motivation: Driving Wedga Revo are six Aluminum hubs with a layer of Vullkolan bonded on for extra grip on the arena surface, these are 140mm in diameter and 50mm in width. Drive: Driving the wheels are two LEM130 Lynch Motors run on 48v from a 3300mAh NiCad botpack. This gives approximately 18hp that should out push quite a few robots and makes a great combination with the front scoop. The robot is under the control of a Vantec speed controller meaning the power is all controlled and put to good use. Speed: Wedga Revo can reach a top speed of about 15mph so it’s nice and controlled and has a decent acceleration to top speed. Turning Circle: Wedga Revo uses a skid steering system like Tornado so that it can turn on the spot but maybe not as well as two wheel drive robots. Ground Clearance: There is around 10mm of clearance all around the robot minus the front scoop that rests along the ground so it can get under virtually anything, the sides and back are skirted and rest together at the corners giving it 0mm clearance all the way around the robot. Skirts: The skirts are made of 5mm thick Grade 5 Titanium and are hinged to the sides and back of the robot by a rotary joint, the skirts all meet at the corners meaning it is very hard to get under the robot from any angle. Armour: The baseplate is constructed of 5mm thick Aluminum, that should protect the bottom if for any reason another robot manages to flip and attack the bottom. The front scoop is made of 3.2mm thick Hardox that is very hard to bend of shatter if not impossible. This is used for deflecting spinner attacks and general scooping up and pushing around. The top, sides and back are all made of 6mm thick Grade 5 Titanium that are all bolted onto the 50mm Hardox box section chassis. Weapons: The main weapon is a flipping arm that is hinged at the rear of the robot and rests down the wedge and inside the front scoop so if a spinner hits the front scoop the arm should not be damaged. The flipping arm is 100mm wide and is made of Grade 5 Titanium and is shaped like the scoop at the front so it can flip any robots on the front scoop easily. It is powered by a big 80mm bore 100mm stroke custom-made Aluminum ram. This is pumped with CO2 gas at a pressure of 150psi contained in two 2.2kg canisters and a 1.1kg buffer tank giving around 35 flips in a fight. This should mean the flipper can produce around 540kgs of force each flip that should send other robots flying! This set up can comfortably flip 400kg so any heavyweight class robot should not be too much of a problem. The front scoop/rear skirt and drive train are also a great way of ramming robots around the arena and can work well with the flipper for flipping robots out of the arena. Self-Righting Mechanism: The flipper can self-right the robot with ease with stylish jumps off the ground. Notes: An almost unchanged version, just with a modified bodywork. Axeon (13)Shape: Simple box with a front wedge and a steep slope at the back. Dimensions: 700mm x 700mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: 100kgs Motivation: Four wheels with a Vulkalon tread for grip. Power: 2x LEM130’s powered by 90x 3000mAh NiCad’s producing 36v. Speed: 15mph Turning Circle: 0, tank style steering. Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front, 10mm at sides and back. Armour: 8mm Hardox front wedge, 6mm Titanium/Vanadium elsewhere. Weapon: 600mm long Hardox axe with a sharpened point on the end. It is run on a rack and pinion system like that on Terrorhurtz. The rack is driven by a 140mm ram powered by Nitrogen at 100psi, producing in excess of two tonnes of force. There are four 2kg canisters on board meaning Axeon has at very least 30 full power hits. This can annihilate aluminium, punch holes in titanium and even dent Hardox at full pressure. SRIMECH: The axe can easily self-right the robot. Notes: Uses an electromagnet system to hold itself down on magnetic floors and a fan/vacuum system on non-magnetic floors. This is to stop the robot jumping around when the axe is fired like Terrorhurtz. Strengths: Hugely powerful axe and drive combination. Aneurysm (4)Shape: An octagonal sort of body, with the weapon in the front section. Dimensions: 700mm x 700mm x 200mm (Length x Width x Height) Weight: +/- 100kgs (Unsure of the actual weight at the moment) Motivation: Two CNC Aluminum wheels with holes for weight reducing. The motors are run at 36v providing decent speed and torque and not going overkill on battery weight. Speed: 12mph, for a decent running speed and great acceleration. Turning Circle: 0, with tank style steering. Ground Clearance: 10mm all the way round. Armour: 4mm thick Hardox monocoque. Weapon: 15kg horizontal laser cut Hardox flywheel. It is powered by a Honda CR125 motorbike engine, started by a HTI motor at 12v. It is capable of producing around 5000rpm in under 5 seconds with a top speed of 11500rpm. This gives a pretty nasty 40bhp and 80kjs of energy. SRIMECH: Invertible, everything works both ways up. Strengths: Everything! Weaknesses: Fragmentor…

Matthew Harrison Fowler's stats
Boxed In
Weight – 100kg dead. Dimensions – L- 80cm, W-60cm, H-32cm Speed – 15.1mph Shape – Literally A Box with skirts side and back. Ground Clearance – Minimal under the skirts, around 4mm at the front. Turning Circle – 0 Armour- 6mm titanium all over, coming to a total of 24.3 kg. The skirts take up an extra 6kg and are made from 5mm titanium. Power- 4 x LEM 200’s running at 24V and at a gearing of 3:1. It has a phenomenal acceleration, and is hitting with around 10.8BHp. It’s designed essentially to be Tornado with more speed and better armour, as well as more protection form flippers. The motors themselves do weigh 42kg. And the batteries, 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer Batteries, run in series to produce 24V, weigh just 1.86 kg. Locomotion- We’re using treads form old wet go-karts mounted on aluminium hubs from a mini wheelbarrow. Each of these should weigh around 2kg each, as we’ve drilled holes in the aluminium to reduce weight and have shaved a layer of rubber form the tyres. Removable Link- The removable link is positioned under the rear skirt. When stopped it should provide for easy access by hand, but not to robots in battle unless the machine is turned over. Weapons – A single, 1kg titanium spike, with an aluminium boron carbide tip. The point itself is as thin as we could make it at around 0.075cm, and using the rule of Power = Force/Area means that we have a force of around 11 tonnes at the very very tip when we run in at full speed and with the full area of the spike tip. The spike itself is around 2cm wide, and therefore at the end of the tip it’s far less and only around 0.6 tonnes, however we should still be bale to get the tip through and cause some damage. Srimech – Invertible Strengths – Read the stats Weaknesses – Read the stats
Weight Breakdown
Chassis – 12.42kg Armour – 30.30kg Locomotion – 8.11kg Batteries – 1.86kg Motors – 42.08kg Weapon – 1kg Weapon Power-0kg Electronics – 5.23kg
Powerpoint The Thrasher 5 (PTT5)
Weight- 91.2kg (WDOR) Dimensions- L- 60cm, W- 90cm, H- 28cm Speed- 16.7mph, 7.5m/s Shape- resembles a spanner, with the tightening bits at the side. Ground Clearance- Not too big, but not tiny either, probably around 4mm Turning circle- Minimal, if not nil Armour- 1cm Grade 5 titanium all over, weighing a total of 38.88156kg Power- 12 x 2480mAh, Apogee Lithium Polymer batteries, running at 11.1V each, but run in series to crank it up to a limit of just 24V as this is all we need and they weigh a total of just 1.86kg. They power 2 PERM-PMG-080’s running at 24V and weigh a total of 6.1818182kg and produce 7.9BHp. The motors are geared down at a ratio of 14:1 Locomotion- We’re using wheels from off-road skateboards for the main powered central reasons, and then we have 8 wheels from normal skateboards mounted on all corners top and bottom for extra stability. Removable Link- The removable link is in the centre of the top of the machine, directly above the weapon. Weapon- In the centre of the spanner form, there is a 50cm diameter horizontal disc, running off 2 x LEM 130’s running on a reduced gearing to just 2000RPM . This will produce just over 10Kj, but the numerous little teeth on the outside (about 250 of them) will constantly chew at the surface. The whole disc is made of 1cm titanium and weighs just 9.2kg. Srimech- Invertible Strengths- Invertible, Nippy, Hard To Get Hold Of Weaknesses- Slightly tricky to drive, Weapon will not damage thick armour
WD
Chassis- 12kg Armour- 38.9kg Locomotion- 8kg Batteries- 1.9kg Motors- 6.2kg Weapon- 9.2kg Weapon Power- 6.2kg Electronics- 7kg Nuts n’ Bolts- 1.8kg TOTAL- 91.2kg
B2B (Back 2 Basics)
Weight- 100.6kg Dimensions- L-75cm W-54cm H- 36.5cm Speed- 8.5mph/ 3.8 m/s. This however still gives excellent acceleration and the speed of the hits will help us do the Tornado thing Shape- Normal Wedge, with rollbars on the back panel made from welded 1cm titanium. Locomotion- 2 x 270mm diameter wheels with custom cut treads from an old adapted Go-Kart Ground Clearance- 0 at front, 0 underneath hinged skirts at sides, 4mm underneath skirts and at back. Turning Circle-0 Power- 2 x 36V Dustin Motors running off 3 x 24V TMC batteries weighing a total of 9kg for the batteries plus 2.6kg for the motors (Lightweight or what). It gives a total (Presuming efficiency is at maximum) of 4.42BHp. Not the best shover, but with the wedge shaped, the idea will be that before pushing you scoop the wheels off the ground. Armour- 7mm Titanium/Vanadium Alloy all around weighing a total of 28.4940747kg for the whole body. The titanium bars on the back weigh a total of about 8.4kg. Chassis- The chassis is made of 1cm aluminium bars, and weighs around 12kg. Weapon 1- The weapon is a Helium powered flipper, with 2 x 3kg helium rams, capable of firing about 40 times within the course of a fight, and despite running off just 400psi, is easily capable of flipping 250kg. The rams in total, plus gas, and bottles etc. weighs around 16kg and the actual flipper is made out of 4mm Titanium/Vanadium alloy and is around two-thirds the width of the body and goes up the whole wedge. It weighs 5.022kg. Weapon 2- the bottom of the front wedge is an entirely detachable wedge made of 1cm aluminium. It’s been designed to be heavy enough to prevent the front wheelying when driving, and therefore means that it should be simple to flip any robots over. It covers about 10cm of the wedge, and is more than capable of resisting attacks. It’s been designed well and uses the force of gravity and balance to keep it down, whilst only weighing 3.288384kg in total. Removable Link Position- In a hole with a swinging flap about 10cm into the back panel, but you have to get past the rollbars to get to it. Srimech- The flipper acts as a self-righter, and will always land on his wheels thanks to the rollbars on the back, once we self-right. The only time this won’t work is if we can’t get enough pressure in the ram to fire us over. Strengths- Powerful, long-lasting weaponry. Manouvreable. Flipper should never fail to slide underneath. Weaknesses- Not the best pusher in a straight shoving battle.

Roo 2
Weight- 97.8kg (Weight distribution available on request) Dimensions- H- 17.5cm D- 130cm Speed- 15mph in driving speed. Shape- Low wide cylinder Ground Clearance- Around 5.5mm Turning Circle- 0 Armour- 2mm titanium over 2mm Polypropylene over another layer of 2mm titanium. Locomotion- 4-x air filled tyres with expansive hole-filling mousse inserted in order to prevent puncturing. Power- 4 x S28-150 Magmotors running at 24V off 2 packs of 24v Nicads. This produces 12BHp as well as only weighing a total of 13kg. Removable Link- In the very centre of the machine. Positioned so few axes will have heads powerful nor long enough to reach it, whilst the shafts must be long and this will reduce their accuracy. Weapon- A 38kg, titanium ring around the outside of the machine with 8x 4-inch long steel teeth with a chamfered triangular design in order to maximize damage. It’s powered by a LEM-170 geared down by 5:2 giving out an output speed of 1286.4rpm. With a reasonably high horse power motor spinning it, and a low yet deadly top speed, it should get up to speed in around 2.8 seconds and has an output of 159Kj. It’s 1cm thick as well so should withstand a good battering. Srimech- Invertible Strong against- Everything really. Weak against- Very quick rammers, Me Robot Most Compared to- Gyrobot? House Robot Most Feared- Probably Growler Strengths- Destructive, Invertible, Nippy, Well Armoured Weaknesses- we’ll add those as we find them out. The only one I can think of is that the armour may be vulnerable to axes.

Weight- 97kg(WDOR) Dimension- L- 95cm, W-70cm, H-32cm Speed- 18.6mph or 8.3m/s Shape- Box with sloped sides and a rounded back Ground Clearance- 0mm everywhere but back where it’s 8mm Turning Circle- 0 Locomotion- 2 x 330mm diameter rubber tyres with custom designed treads. There is also a full-size invertible castor at the front to aid steering. Removable Link position- At the back of the machine, under the armour and about 10cm back. This bit has a swinging flap. Armour- 4mm Fibre Glass over 3mm Grade 5 titanium Power- 2 x 15.1hp PERM motors running at 48V and powered by 36V NiCad packs. Weapon- A pair of large clamping jaws ala Dundee, powered by a hydraulic ram and producing around 7 tonnes of force. At the back is a hydraulically powered crossbow that will hopefully puncture the shell on the sides as back as well as the top and base. Srimech- Invertible Strength- Powerful weaponry, Powerful drive, strong and lightweight armour. Weaknesses- Poor traction, against well-armoured machines, weapon will be useless.

Hacked off Ha-ka
Weight- 89.4kg- (WDOR) Dimensions- H- 40cm, L- 1m, W- 70cm Speed- 13.3mph or 5.3 m/s Shape- 2 x 35 degree wedges about 40cm long, with a 3ocm box section in the middle. Locomotion- 4x Solid aluminium hubs with old karting wets around it Ground Clearance- 1mm at sides, 3mm at rear, 0 at front Turning Circle- 0 Power- 4x Dustin motors running on 36V powered by 3 TMC 36V batteries/ They produce a total of 8.84BHp Armour- 5mm Aluminium Boron Carbide Weapon 1- A larger hammer than before weighing 11.5kg. It runs off some very nice 1000psi nitrogen rams, and produces around 4 tonnes at the beginning and about 2.7 towards the end. At the beginning I’d say it’d cut through 8mm titanium in 2 or 3 swift hits. It’s double sided, with one Terrorhurtz style blade, and one Mortis one. Weapon 2- A small strip of ti/vanadium alloy that should enable each wedge to slide under easier Removable Link Position- Under a small 6mm steel electromagnetically secured panel at the back of the robot. Srimech- invertible, but the axe will right it if necessary due to the fact that the head is angled back into a hole, which keeps the head inside the body. Strengths- Powerful weaponry, Manouvreable, good acceleration, well armoured Weaknesses- Not the best pushing power, limited CO2.

Weight- 100.3kg (WDOR) Dimensions- H- 65cm, L- 65cm, W- 75cm Speed- 11mph, 5.1 m/s Shape- Somewhere between S6 Sabretooth and Atilla the Drum. Locomotion- 2x Motorbike wheels with screws embedded. These are bigger diameter than the robot itself. Ground Clearance- Massive Turning Circle- 0 Armour- A cage made from a 3mm titanium mesh with moulded 8mm fibre glass armour over that. Power- 2x S28-400’s at 24V giving 9BHp. These are powered by some TMC batteries at 24V. Removable link position- Inside the left wheel, as far in as possible whilst keeping it accessible. Weapon- As before, the weapon is a 300mm 18kg vertical disc on an arm, which can swing right through the whole arc of the robot, and is capable of coming down with a thump. The blades are mounted diagonally, which means that they are capable of both flipping and ripping. The cage can also swing over the top, protecting the axle and wheels from the side that is unprotected by the disc. This means that other than the cage, nothing can be damaged apart from the disc. It should produce about 62Kj. It’s powered by another S28-400 on 24V and has a spin-up time of 4.7 seconds. Srimech- Invertible Strengths- Powerful weaponry. Manouvreable, Strong Weaknesses- Low traction, slow acceleration.
