Okay, we're starting the lightweight bracket today! The first fight is...
Dale's Dead Bot vs. Little Big Bot
Dale's Dead Bot certainly isn't dead, but it might make others dead, with those nasty flipping/crunching spikes on the wedge. It's shaped like Atomic, and has 6mm Lexan armour. Anthony says it's weak armour, but for a lightweight...it really isn't. However, it can be flipped from the sides and rear.
Little Big Bot is like a Biohazard of sorts. However, it's got no skirts at all, and not much experience. It does, however, have a slight speed advantage, and a REALLY nasty axe akin to Dominator II's. But it lacks originality...and it can also be flipped easily - could that prove fatal?

It's on, and both bots take off, LBB avoiding a head-on collision with DDB, which is a good strategy as the spikes on DDB are very dangerous and are very capable of winning him the match here. LBB is, as said Chris said, trying to aim for the sides, but DDB is not allowing that to happen, turning on the spot and keeping that nasty front end towards LBB. LBB isn't getting anywhere using this tactic and decides to open the pit, but DDB has intercepted him immediately, rear pushing him from the side and into the wall! LBB escapes and hits the button from the side, opening the pit...and taking off the button too. HEY! What are you doing with that axe, LBB?! You're not allowed to attack the arena! Our poor pit release button! And DDB very nearly kills himself, driving dangerously close to the pit of oblivion. LBB has now put the button on the floor flipper...? And DDB has rear tackled LBB as the flipper is up, and the button goes sailing over the arena wall! This...this is not in the rules of...you should be ashamed of yourself, LBB! Anyway, DDB now has LBB, but LBB drives away before the deadly spikes trap their prey! Ooh, how close! Tony can sense Chris' tense state from over in his own control booth! DDB pursues his prey across the arena, but LBB pulls a slight of wheel, and DDB goes shooting right by him! Chris' plan has worked like a charm, and LBB plows into the rear of DDB and brings down the axe! However, the arm of the axe gets in the way, slamming against the side and causing absolutely no damage! Tough break! DDB reverses and piles LBB into the wall opposite, forcing that axe up again, and LBB pulls it back. WHAM! OH, what a hit! A bad time for DDB to drive off, as the axe finally finds its mark, AND IT'S STUCK TO THE REAR! the axe head has penetrated the 6mm Lexan in the rear, an almost perfect 45 degree angle near the top. Now, who has the better pushing power? I would say that it's LBB, and now Chris utilizes his bot's advantage and pushes DDB away from the wall, and TOWARDS THE PIT - but no! The right side wheels of DDB grind furiously and just miss the pit! LBB is still in command, though, and pulls back...which releases the axe's grip on the rear of DDB! No longer the victim, DDB turns around and rams the fazed LBB with the wedge, but LBB rolls off the side before the spikes can clamp down. Chris recovers from his shock and LBB jets away towards the floor flipper again. DDB lowers the spikes this time and heads in LBB's direction, but LBB drives right at him and flies over him before the spikes can pop up and flip him! A dull THOOMP as LBB lands on all four of its wheels, but DDB has turned around and headed at LBB. LBB waits for him to approach, and fires the axe. The axe penetrates the armour of the wedge just above the spikes and thankfully comes back out. But LBB at this point is too darned close to DDB to avoid more contact and the spikes pop, and FLIP! Over goes LBB. And the axe rights LBB...right into DDB's open grasp! The spikes lower, and LBB is finally and nicely grappled. Where to, DDB? Ah, the pit, but of course. A few seconds later, POOF! Down goes LBB into the darkness.
CEASE!
Little Big Bot certainly isn't the big one around here!
