Darth DreadWeight Class: Heavyweight Shape: Just a simple box on wheels. Colour: Look at the picture, I don't even think I need this stat anymore Armour: 6mm Grade 5 Titanium with 3mm Lexan covering. Speed: 14mph Weight: 99.9kg Dimensions: Length = 90cm, Width = 65cm, Height = 40cm Ground Clearance: Without the 0mm clearance skirts and spikes at the front, sides and back, it's all 3mm. Turning Circle: 0 Power: Two nice C40-300 MagMotors run at 36v. Batteries: 4 NiCads. Speed Controller: VANTEC RDFR series. Wheels: 4 foam-filled ones located inside the robot Weapons: The only weapon here is a 25 lb hammer made of iron. That's right. Iron. It's powered by a pneumatics air cylinder and the time it comes down is 0.6 secs. The force is enough to either: 1) Knock something out of place 2) Completely kill the opponent 3) Put holes in the opponent's armour 4) Wreck the arena floor Srimech: Hammer Strengths: If one hit doesn't kill the opponent, the next hit will. Extremely hard to flip. Weaknesses: Can be flipped by a vertical spinning bar. BIO: Extremely powerful...too much so for its own good. It didn't get far at all... Name: The Grand Illusion Shape: Hexadecimator/Comengetorix. Weight: 100kg Colour: Metallic cyan all over. Drive: 2 S28-400 @ 36v. Geared @ 6:1. Speed: 19mph Wheels: 4 inner foam-filled ones the size of Toe Crusher's. Batteries: 4 x 36v NiCads, capacity = 3000mAh Armour: 8mm Ti/V alloy on base, 5mm hardox 650 all elsewheres. Ground Clearance: 0mm at wedge, 5mm elsewhere Dimensions in CM: 90 x 105 x 50. (without side spikes, width = 65 instead of 105) Weaponry: 4 side stainless steel spikes on each side. It is more of a defence because if a robot like the Matador comes and attempts a flip on one side, TGI will bounce on the spikes on the other side and land back on its wheels. At the front is a wedge, but on top of the wedge is a disc like Wild Thing's, with 3 hardox-tipped teeth, spinning at 2500rpm and powered by an S28 Mag @ 36v. There is a strip of thin titanium at the bottom of the wedge, to defeat most skirts, and a rear skirt as well. Srimech: None Strengths: Makes its weakness hard to exploit, very destructive, very powerful. Weakness: No srimech. BIO: Another of my bots which boasted it couldn't be flipped...yeah right. Well it didn't compete so it didn't get flipped... ;D Battle Record = N/A Time of Activity = 2006 - 2007 Notable Achievements = None Theme song = "The Grand Illusion" by Styx

The Grand DisillusionShape: A box with a looooooong wedge. Has sloped and angled sides and rear. Colour: Different shades of blue, cyan, grey, and silver all over. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 LEM130s, 36v Power: 6 NiCad Battlepacks, 36v. Motivation: 4 Toe Crusher-style wheels for movement. Is invertible. Speed: 18mph Armour: 6mm Lexan over 7mm titanium, but the front spinner is 6mm Ti/V alloy. Ground Clearance: 0mm at front, 5mm everywhere else. Dimensions in CM: 110 x 75 x 15 Weaponry: A disc that spins at 2000rpm. However, this is placed IN the wedge, with no teeth in the side. Instead, the hardox-tipped teeth are on the top and tear robots who fall on the wedge. It's powered by a LEM130 motor. Srimech: Invertible. Strengths: Hard to get under, unique weapon tactic. Weaknesses: As always wheels are exposed from top when invertible. BIO: I tried a different tack here. If an opponent got onto a wedge, why should they get undamaged while they stay on the wedge? So I put the disc inside the wedge and put the blades on top. It hadn't competed for a while so other bots started to outshine it when it did...redesign, please! Battle Record = 1 win, 2 losses (1-2) Time of Activity = May 2007 - March 2008 Notable Achievements = None Theme song = The same as the last generation. See above post.

The CurseShape: See the CAD. Colour: See the CAD. Speed: 9mph (geared for better acceleration) Weight: 100kg Armour: 3.25 Hardox, and the side bumps are 6mm titanium/vanadium alloy. Drive: 2 S28-400 MagMotors @ 24v. Give off 9HP at peak RPM. Power: 4 NiCad Battlepacks @ 24v. Motivation: 2 CNC hubs with urethane tires for grip. Ground Clearance: Under the blade it's 40mm, and without it the entire bot is 5mm. Turning Circle: 0 Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 85 x 90 x 10 Weaponry: A 20kg spinning blade made entirely out of Hardox, even the extended teeth. It's powered by 4 *GASPSHOCKHORROR* S28-400 MagMotors and can spin up to 3500RPM in about 2 seconds flat. It can produce about 64kJ per hit and reaches out by about 30cm, which can strike FBSs before vice-versa occurs. Srimech: Invertible. Strengths: Psychotic weapon and weapon power, good acceleration, tough armour, compact design. BIO: A rather pathetic attempt at a redesign, and it got knocked out of rounds quite quickly, so...redesign again. Curse of DreadShape: A wedge with a rounded rear. Colour: See the pic, it's awesome. ;D (for you guys who can't see it for whatever reason, it's blue with a yellow srimech, a silver spinning bar, and dark grey wheels ) Speed: 14mph Weight: 100kg Armour: 3.25mm Hardox, with a 6mm kevlar underside. Around the wheels it's 5mm Hardox. Drive: 2 LEM130 Lynch motors, run @ 23.1 volts Power: 7 packs of AM1 123 Lithium-Ion cell batteries. That's about 4.9kg of batteries. Motivation: 2WD. The wheels are titanium and the tires are urethane rubber. Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front, with an extender at the front (same body colour) to get under most skirts and other wedges and flippers. Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 100 x 90 x 25 Weaponry: On the wedge is a 12kg spinning blade, ala Hazard, made completely of Hardox. It's 75cm long, 12cm wide, and 1.2cm thick. Powered by 2 LEM130s @ 48v, geared to acceleration, it goes at 1000rpm, reaches that in 0.8 seconds, and dishes out 58kJ of energy per hit. It's an extremely accelerative weapon. Srimech: It CAN run inverted, not properly though. Therefore, it has a Hypno-Disc style srimech on the top of the wedge, powered by a linear actuator, that it can use when the blade ISN'T spinning. Strengths: Almost instantaneous spin-up time for weapon, can use the wedge if blade fails for any reason. Good armouring. BIO: Going back to the original TGI weapon placing, yet keeping The Curse's weapon. It can also shove opponents around if the blade fails. It's not had a lot of time in the spotlight, and it's getting kinda old, so it's been scrapped. Illusion of DreadShape: Wedge with rounded rear. Colour: Look at the pic; if you can't see it, or if it's just not loading, then think sea-colours. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 S28-400 Magmotors run on 24v and geared 9:1. Power: 4 NiCad Battlepacks on 24v Motivation: 2WD, wheels are at the back; they're CNC hubs with urethane tires wrapped on 'em. Speed: 13mph; geared for acceleration Armour: A 5mm Ti/V monocoque, with 6mm titanium edges on each side. The flipper and spinner are both titanium, and the tubes surrounding the spinner are aluminium. Motors and wiring are shocked mounted to prevent recoil damage from the spinner's heavy hits; the aluminium tubes also play a role in this as they stabilize the spinner. Ground Clearance: 0mm at the front (both at the flipper and wedge underneath), 5mm along the sides, and 10mm at the rear. Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 105 x 80 x 25 Weaponry: Similar to S5 Wild Thing. The main weapon is the spinning bar, powered by a Husqvarna chainsaw engine (and EV starter at 24v). It's got a max RPM of 4000, and at that, it can produce a whopping 302kJ! It takes about 7 seconds to get up to that speed, though. That's where the second weapon comes into play. It's a rear-hinged flipper, powered by a 80mm stroke 60mm bore double-sided ram, and a 1.5kg CO2 tank. It's not meant for power flipping, so it has limited power. It can flip about 150kg, but can right itself easily. The good news is that it has about 30 flips, so it can run the entire fight, most likely. The flipper's main niche is to protect the spinner and repel away rammers that like to stop spinning weapons, until the blade gets up to speed. Then I can fire the flipper and expose the spinner. The ram is put through the axle of the spinner so it can work. Srimech: Flipper. BIO: To be honest, I had completely forgot about Wild Thing when making this vapourbot, and it only now came to me that it kinda works like Wild Thing. Only it's much more powerful. And stuff. But like Wild Thing, it had to be redesigned. So...thing. Haze of DreadShape: Wedge with rounded rear. Colour: Pale green, with whites and blues. Weight: 100kg Drive: 2 Ampflow A28-400 motors, geared 6:1 for all-roundedness Power: 4 packs of 8 M1 A12 Li-Ion cells, 26.4v altogether Motivation: Same as before; 2WD inner at the rear, urethane rubber tires, aluminium CNC hubs Top Speed: 12mph Armour: 3mm Ti/V body shell, 6mm Ti/V lifting arms Ground Clearance: 0 underneath the arms and wedge, 2cm directly under the "bowl"'s teeth, 0 rising to 10mm at the sides and 10mm at the rear Turning Circle: 0 Dimensions in CM (LxWxH): 115 x 100 x 30 Weaponry: Haze of Dread goes all the way back to The Grand Illusion days by opting for a 20kg steel 'bowl' spinning weapon similar to Battlebots heavyweight robot Warhead, of Team Razer fame. This is powered by a Lynch LEM200 motor run on 72.6v. It gets up to a max RPM of 1500 in 1.3 seconds and with 2 S7 tool steel teeth, dishes out 145kJ a hit. The bowl is securely bolted down and shock mounted itself (as is most of the robot, for safety reasons in the arena and out; we don't want the bowl flying off) There are two lifting arms positioned at either side of the bowl, going almost to the very back of the machine and powered by a relatively small electric system. They go up (OR down) to an angle of 60 degrees from their starting point (therefore having an absolute range of 120 degrees) and reach that in about 2 seconds. They can lift about 200kg but no more. They can be used for getting under robots, preventing it getting stuck on its side, self-righting, stabilizing the bowl, or just looking pretty. Srimech: The arms. BIO: Retains its basic shape but gets a much more lethal weapon...at the cost of some armour though, but Ti/V of 3mm should stand up to a lot of hits; it does have just about the same tensile strength of Hardox 600 of the same thickness. Cookie if you can guess where I got part of the name from.
