Two bots fought their way to the top spots last time. These two were PsycloniZer, a spinner, and Dolce, an axer. In the end, the spinning hammers of PsycloniZer triumphed over the axe and drive of Dolce. Now with Dolce out of the way this time around, can PsycloniZer defend the crown?
CRASH & BURN: MINI-TOURNAMENT OF DEATH 2
Eliminator 1 PsycloniZer (1) vs. Hypertension Mk 3 vs. Skid
PsycloniZer is our reigning champion. Those hammers pack a serious, serious punch and the drive though weak in the traction is quite accelerative and nippy. Stop the ring, however, and it's pretty much fodder.
Hypertension Mk 3 is a newcomer to the tournament. It's got a powerful rear-hinged flipper and some powerful armour and speed to back it up, but will it be enough to swing a judges decision if it comes to that?
Skid's a nasty machine, a 6WD pusher with strong armour and quite the temperment. The batteries are run in series so it doesn't fry the 66v voltage it uses, but with no active weaponry, it could be a Skid mark on the arena floor. ;D

House robots for the fight will be Asterix Anarchius and Taki III.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
And so begins the 2nd mini-tournament, as the champion hurries away to spin up the hammers, but Hypertension is right after him, trying to break in for an advantageous situation before the hammers get up to speed; sadly, it's not the case as PsycloniZer's outer ring becomes a blur, almost one with the air, and before Hypo can stop himself, he's crashed into the champ's ring within seconds!
CRASH!!!
And feels its devastating effects already! Hypertension came at PsycloniZer on an the angle, and as a result the hammer caught the side of the wedge of Hypertension! The after-result? One of the side panels of Hypertension's been smacked clean off, and the robot itself sent for a loop across the arena, almost faster than the speed the hammers of the champ are rotating at right now! Thankfully the weaponry of Hypertension has been rendered useless, but it's now Skid's turn to shine as he takes Hypo's own opportunity and smashes into PsycloniZer, who's been sent flying by his own impact, and now can't get out of the way in time to avoid the ram from Skid and goes for the ride into Taki III's CPZ. Taki turns around quickly, but not quickly enough to get the blade in play and so PsycloniZer's ring meets the side of Taki as Skid smacks Psy into Taki. Hypertension, not wanting to be left out in the slightest, rams into the rear of Skid and slides under it, displaying the powerful flipper for everyone to see by tossing Skid over the champ on top of the house robot. Skid lands on Taki upside-down, and gets greeted by the spinning blade as it falls off the rear of her.
WHAP!
That didn't sound good. Skid's now turned back over, and somehow stuck under Taki and PsycloniZer, as Hypertension moves in on PsycloniZer and gives the champ a little toss itself, sending it onto the pile of robots in the CPZ. ...and here comes Asterix Anarchius! He's tired of Taki getting all the fun (if you can call it that) and is almost at the CPZ already! Hypertension sees it coming but can't turn fast enough...WHAM! Hypertension and Asterix now become one with the tangle of robots stuck in the CPZ, but not for long. Skid breaks away from the pile, Asterix also doing so by reversing, and the house robot heads back to his own CPZ, but Skid's damage is quite clear. The right middle wheel's been smashed in, and isn't turning properly, thus Aaron's machine has its manoeuvrability cut severely. Taki finally extricates herself from the CPZ as well, and Hypo self-rights off of PsycloniZer onto its wheels, looking not too bad. PsycloniZer however is looking quite churlish at the moment, the hammers completely motionless, as it tries to escape from the CPZ, but no deal. Skid comes flying in, past Hypertension as Matt tries to get his bearings back, and slams into PsycloniZer back into the CPZ. Taki doesn't know whether to attack again or not and turns to the Watcher for guidance. The ref backs off...only to get flipped by Hypo! Oi! What's wrong with you?! And...the house robots don't even do a thing about it! Why...how could you? Abandoning your fellow teammate in a time of need! But what The Watcher needs is a srimech, and he's got one, using the arm to right himself. Hypo returns to the battle as Skid continues to back up and ram into the champ, who is definitely not looking like he was last season, fighting for his life here in this lowly Round 1 battle. Skid now gets PsycloniZer on top of him, and Matty decides to end the champ's run right now. He heads for the pit release button, smacking into it, and the for the first, that d**ned pit of hell opens up, ever greeting its inhabitants with the stench of loss. And that's where the champ is headed, as Skid backs up, albeit on an angle because of the lame wheel, and dumps PsycloniZer into the hole. What a disappointing end for Andy Jackson and the champion PsycloniZer!
But Aaron's job is far from finished, he still has Hypertension to deal with, as the latter charges towards him. Hypertension and Skid meet right in the center of the arena, and it's Skid who comes away the lower as he slides under the flipper of Hypo and smashes Hypo into one of the surrounding walls. Hypo bounces off, thankfully not inverted, and tries to get around to Skid's side. The effort is not in vain, as the lame wheel of Skid is effecting him quite much and he can't turn as well aside from the fact that 6WD bots have it harder to turn than 2WD bots. ;D Hypertension meets the side, but can't let fly the flipper fast enough before Skid escapes, and Hypo ends up flipping itself over. Skid moves in to try and get in another advantage but Hypo quickly self-rights, almost on top of Skid but on the side, and gets away. Skid tries to catch him, but Hypo quickly turns and gets to Skid's side. This time, he reacts quicker than Aaron had expected and is able to toss over Skid before it can get away from the flipper, and now the inverted wedge is useless against Hypo's wedge and flipper. Knowing that it's only a matter of time, Matty moves in as Skid tries to have a go at Hypo's sides and rear, but Hypo keeps the pressure on, able to keep the flipper pointed at Skid and keep advancing. Skid races across the arena in an effort to gain some type of ground, as Hypo comes after him again, but suddenly Skid shoots straight up the wedge of Hypo. Hypo doesn't fire the flipper, but realizes what Aaron's plan is and turns around too late...or maybe not, as Skid hits the side of Hypo, but the hit deflects Skid right into the front of Hypo. Hypo collects him onto the wedge and, unable to get him down the pit due to where he's facing, slams Skid into one of the Discs of Death!
CRASH!!!
The armour stands up to the blow from the hazard fairly well, only a dent, and it's also sent Skid off of Hypertension's wedge, and away! Maybe not the smartest move from Matty, but he still holds the cards here as Skid's still on its back and still has a lame wheel. Aaron decides to go for a ram again, but Matty sees the plan coming a mile away. Skid comes right at the wedge of Hypo, but Hypo backs away as Skid hits the wedge, and Hypo is able to keep Skid on the wedge as he now pushes Skid towards the pit. Aaron tries to get off the wedge but the inevitable occurs as Hypo stops at the edge of the pit, and Skid slides down...

Eliminator 2 Hex Appeal vs. Nidhogg Evo vs. Do Or Die
Hex Appeal is a massive 200kg walker, with an equally massive spinning ring, powerful and accelerative, with extremely tough armour and a srimech to boot. But being a walker, its low speed could staunch its pride. ;D
Nidhogg Evo's a rollover crusher, able to crush with ridiculous amounts of force and a lifter to aid it. Its armour isn't too bad either, and is quite manoeuvrable and speedy for a crusher. Its rollover srimech however might not work if stacked against a wall.
Do Or Die charges in, replacing its mate and runner-up Dolce as Chezza's robot. It's basically an armoured 4WD tank with an equally armoured lifting scoop. However, its flat sides could have it easily stacked, so the name fits well. ;D

House robots for this fight are Triple Big Mac and Exa-Gore-Ic Evo.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
And it seems all balls are on Hex Appeal (no pun intended) as both Joey and Chezza direct their robots towards the massive spinner with hopes of taking it out early. However, as with last fight with PsycloniZer, this is not the case. Hex Appeal's spinning ring, although obviously unable to spin up within 'milliseconds', nonetheless reaches its maximum speed before the others can approach it and smacks into Do Or Die's scoop with enough force to shatter a brick wall!
CRASH!!!
To Dan's consternation, Do Or Die apparently is tougher than a brick wall because that scoop has completely deflected the blow (with a slight dent and a LOT of sparks in the process)! Not only that, but it's spun down Hex Appeal's shell long enough for Nidhogg Evo to make its first major move, reaching its claw high above Hex Appeal's 30cm height and bringing it down onto the top armour! Dan really isn't happy about this, but he knows his machine is not fast, and not nimble, and now in major peril. Do Or Die immediately goes for the pit release...ah...hang on, Nidhogg can't seem to push Hex Appeal around. And now we know why! One of Hex Appeal's teeth has caught a floor shingle and is digging in, preventing Nidhogg from pushing the 200kg walker anywhere! Joey decides to wait for Do Or Die to open the pit and then help out, but that's too long for the Watcher, and as Do Or Die finally makes it towards the pit release, the ref bumps into Nidhogg and forces him to release Hex Appeal. That Nidhogg does with a grumpy disposition, and now Hex Appeal's able to spin up that ring again! Joey isn't keen on letting himself take the blows, and waits for Do Or Die to come back...but nothing doing! Chezza isn't going to be the scapegoat for Joey's plans and sits Do Or Die in front of one of the sets of arena saws. Joey starts talking to Chezza in the control booth, and a few seconds later his grumpy face is back facing the arena as Hex Appeal contemplates whom to go for. Apparently he doesn't like rammers, as he's going now for Do Or Die. Chezza simply smirks and waits for Hex Appeal to cross over the arena saws, but then a bit of trouble n' strife appears in the form of Nidhogg Evo, who attacks Do Or Die's side in an act of treachery! In response to this, Do Or Die turns around and barrels the scoop into Nidhogg's lifter...but it's Nidhogg who prevails here as the lifter gets under the scoop...but not the entire robot, so does he actually prevail now? And now Do Or Die lifts the scoop into Nidhogg's crusher...oho! That's one for the books! ;D Nidhogg is being lifted by his weapon being used by Do Or Die's scoop, pegged in there, and now turns to the face the much-too-near Hex Appeal.
CRASH!!!
The spinner mashes Nidhogg's entire side panel, sending Nidhogg skidding across the arena in a shower of sparks and the 4mm Hardox panel badly dented! Chezza's tactics have now turned due to Joey's irritation, and now both robots are attacking each other! However Nidhogg hasn't been able to recover fully from that blow, and Do Or Die barrels into the other, less dented side, sliding under it and lifting it onto its side! Of course Nidhogg can right himself from that position, but not while being held down by Do Or Die's scoop! And now Chezza is looking mighty at the moment, lining up his former teammate's robot with the gigantic spinning ring of Hex Appeal, and now with all due strength smashes the crusher into it.
CRASH!!!
That's sent all three robots back a bit! Hex Appeal goes back several inches, but already getting its ring back up to speed, and now it has definitely done some major damage to Nidhogg! The crusher's been dented at the top, and I'm surprised it hasn't been torn clean out from the pump! Nidhogg, surprisingly, hasn't been smacked out from under Do Or Die's scoop and both robots, as one, have been knocked away a few feet! Chezza moves forward again to deliver the wounded Nidhogg to the very...ahem...arousing ring of Hex Appeal. ;D Dan however isn't keen on having Do Or Die to deal with one-on-one, and so tries to get around Nidhogg to attack Chezza's machine...unfortunately, with only 5mph at best, Hex Appeal's not going to have his way with Do Or Die here, and Chezza's advantage continues as he shoves Nidhogg once more into Hex Appeal.
CRASH!!!
That's the rollover srimech at the rear that took the blow this time, and looking pretty much slashed up now as Nidhogg is finally smacked out from under Do Or Die's upraised scoop and sent skidding...thankfully onto its wheels! Chezza is disgusted, but Joey (slightly) and Dan delighted, and now the team-up seems to have shifted against Chezza as Hex Appeal and Nidhogg attack Do Or Die...unfortunately, Nidhogg's taken quite a battering from Hex Appeal and has now had his speed reduced by much; therefore Do Or Die easily sneaks around Nidhogg's front end and getting to the sides lifts him over with the scoop. And...that's pretty much it for Nidhogg - no? Do Or Die's pushing him into Hex Appeal again! Dan can't scuttle his killer away fast enough, even with the omni-directional system!
CRASH!!!
Nidhogg gets rocked again, the crusher suffering another blow, and again surprisingly staying attached to the robot as it gets knocked away from Do Or Die and...sadly, onto its side; upon a more whole time, it could have self-righted from there but unfortunately not after that battering it took. Its own plan complete, Do Or Die attacks Hex Appeal...only to find the spinner back up to maximum speed!
CRASH!!!
Nonetheless, the shape of the scoop's foiled Hex Appeal once more as it's deflected away, but the scoop isn't coming out of it clean either! It's taken a major dent now...ahh...The Watcher's had enough of simply watching Nidhogg lie on its side, and starts counting it out, as the house robots come near to it... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10!
One robot down, one robot to go, and Do Or Die looks to be the one not to go as it finally gets its scoop in there under Hex Appeal, stopping the spin-up and trying to lift it over...not going to happen. Do Or Die swings itself and Hex Appeal around in an arc, trying to line Hex Appeal up with the pit, narrowly missing Exa-Gore-Ic who now clamps onto the broken Nidhogg and drags it over to the arena saws! BZZT! Sparks...and hey! What do you know, thats the end of the match, as Do Or Die's found the pit and shoved the extremely promising Hex Appeal down, who is followed moments later by its own victim, Nidhogg Evo.

Eliminator 3 System Shock 4.0 vs. Under Pressure vs. Thanatos
System Shock 4.0 is a nice box wedge rammer, with a Hardox monocoque, titanium skirts, and extremely powerful drive. It uses the track advantage for 10kg extra weight, but can become a wheeled robot during battle. The wedge can be replaced by a Tornado-style disc and the rear spikes can damage armour as well. Shocking indeed. ;D
Under Pressure is an unusual horizontal crusher, unusual in the fact that it can wedge opponents first using 'lower' claws and then bring the damaging claws into play. It's Hardox armoured pretty much everywhere except 5mm titanium for the 'main body'. It'll be putting Pressure on you. ;D
Thanatos is a super spinner, utilizing a LEM170 Lynch motor to spin its Hardox FBS shell and the 4 teeth attached to 1500rpm. It also has a titanium srimech at the top. However, its Bosch drive could leave it behind in this battle, and Thanatos could get the death penalty. ;D

3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
Right off the bat it's System Shock with the wedge coming right into play on Under Pressure, and is able to get the wedge into play before Under Pressure can sneak in the claw wedges! Not that it does much good anyway, as the claws do activate before Martijn's bot gets wedged, but they can't seem to get under the skirts! The result is System Shock taking Under Pressure across the arena, the huge pincer of a robot simply raised helpless into the air by the wedge, unable to even move! Despite all this. System Shock doesn't want to take Under Pressure to the wall, that's not in his game plan. Liam sees a much better place to put Under Pressure: in the path of the other competitor, Thanatos, who's definitely reached its top speed by now and wants to get in on some action! It comes towards System Shock now, who places Under Pressure in front of it, and lowers the wedge as Thanatos nears the two. The results won't look pretty...
CRASH!!!
Well...that could have been worse, but it's left Under Pressure with a sizable dent in the rear of the right side claw. The impact has also sent Thanatos across the arena, the recoil actually propelling it away from its victim, as System Shock moves in again. Martijn tries to get the claw wedges working against Liam, but it's not working, they can't penetrate the skirts and now System Shock's gotten under Under Pressure again! Unfortunately Liam can't quite flip him over due to the size of Under Pressure, nor has he completely lifted Under Pressure from the ground this time, he's oinly tipped him up, and Under Pressure is reversing, so Liam decides to take him to Thanatos again. Thanatos however is nowhere to be found...until Liam finally spots the spinbot...he's moved right behind System Shock! Liam tries to turn, but it's too late!
CRASH!!!
It's the rear of System Shock that's taken the blow and sent him spinning away! Thankfully it's not done much damage, however, and now Liam's set his sights on Samuel's spinner! Speaking of Thanatos, it's been flung across the arena again and lies right on top of the pit. Thanking his stars it isn't open yet, Samuel gets his robot's shell to spin up again, but he barely gets it up to speed before a 110kg box wedge comes flying at him from all the way from the other end of the arena! And the result is no big CRASH, but a spectacular display of acrobatics by Thanatos as the spinner hits the wedge of System Shock, rides up it through some sparks, and goes flying into the air while still spinning as System Shock halts in front of the wall, to land almost perfectly onto its wheels...and is greeted by Under Pressure!

But the greeting goes in favour of Samuel, as Martijn sees both machines flung away upon impact, the lower right side claw taking a bit more damage, but Thanatos is in a thick of trouble now itself as System Shock's slammed back into it before it could spin up, and now lifts the spinner up, up...and onto its back! However, up pops the srimech and Thanatos lands beside System Shock, and scoots away to spin up again. After it goes System Shock, and easily catches the spinner before it can get the opportunity, lifting it and pulverising it against the arena wall, narrowly missing one of the Discs of Death, as Under Pressure makes a gangway for the pit release button. ...uh, can he even - yes, of course he can. Seemed he fit right around it, but turning around a bit, and the button's activated. Thanatos gets away again...but not for long, as System Shock flies after it. And Under Pressure's right there! This time, Under Pressure opens the claws wide, and Thanatos spins right into them!
CRASH!!!
However, it did not spin down Thanatos' shell, and some major sparkage results alongside a great dent in the left claw! But Thanatos is now caught in the grasp of Under Pressure whose claws squeeze in on the spinner, and System Shock slamming into both of them isn't helping matters! Martijn groans as Liam's machine lifts them up, and this time Liam gets the desired effect; Under Pressure goes head over wheels with Thanatos still caught, and upside-down now. Samuel fires the srimech, and that loosens Under Pressure's hold on his machine, thought not really righting it at first, and System Shock attacks it quickly! It drives the spinner into Renegade's CPZ - wa-hey, that's new! Thanatos self-righted on top of System Shock, and now Liam's gotten into the house robot's face...and under it! It backs away quickly, but Renegade only comes out a bit to ward him off, then returns to the CPZ. Under Pressure, not wanting to be left out, goes for System Shock's rear, and clamps the now inverted wedges against its sides...only to be driven back easily by the rammer! Thanatos slides off System Shock as this occurs, and spins up again! Uh oh, not a good sign. System Shock turns, slower though with Under Pressure attached to its rear with the pointy claws now closing in, but Thanatos has already reached full speed and now dodges around the rammer, smacking into the left side skirt!
CRASH!!!
And just like that System Shock finds one of his sides deprived of a skirt as it now lies 10 feet away, but Thanatos has once again been flung across the arena by his own power! While System Shock is trying to line-up Thanatos in his sights, Under Pressure, having been shocked away from the rammer at that last hit, crashes in again at the rear, trying to do some sort of damage but it's not working. System Shock pulls away from the grip and turning around shunts Under Pressure into the wall, collecting him fully on the lifting wedge and...Under Pressure slides down on top of him. ;D First Thanatos, now Under Pressure? System Shock is no amusement park ride, fellas! ;D And now the robot mistaken for an amusement park ride is right peeved and he carries Under Pressure straight over to Thanatos; the wedge sneaks under the blades of the spinner and sends it into Under Pressure!
CRASH!!!
Which sends them both flying! The power of Thanatos is not to be lightly thrown aside, so to speak! And Under Pressure definitely feels some damage now, as the right side claw is looking rather badly dented now, but Thanatos is the one System Shock wants to rid the arena of first! It crashes into Thanatos, but a bit too fast as Thanatos goes flying over top of it. System Shock turns around quickly, but not quickly enough as Thanatos has again reached top speed! Under Pressure, well...it's coming at Thanatos, but a bit sheepishly now, as if it's been knocked senseless...which it has! Surely not enough to cause internal damage yet, though? System Shock's neared Thanatos, but the uber-spinner's already too near Under Pressure, and the crusher is coming towards the spinner to try and knock over to the pit!
CRASH!!!
And Under Pressure is living up to its name; the left top claw, now bottom-right since it's inverted, has taken a major slashing, but sent the spinner itself spinning away. Samuel was wise to shock mount his robot, because by now, it'd be believed that Thanatos would have self-destructed, but System Shock is simply not attacking Under Pressure, and wants Thanatos out of the way, pronto! OH! THANATOS NEARLY DROVE INTO THE PIT! WHOA!!! SYSTEM SHOCK'S ON THE EDGE OF THE PIT, AND HE ALMOST WENT IN TOO! What a scare! Both drivers breathe a sigh of relief...but though Thanatos is getting shell spinning up, he's definitely not ready for the latest assault from Liam as Liam's robot mashes him against the wall near the pit! Luckily the shell wasn't spun up to speed, and Thanatos is sent away a bit, but Under Pressure is there to capitalize on the stationary shell and...drives on top of it? Well Under Pressure can't wedge foes now, and it's driven up onto the sloped sides of Thanatos, who is now again gotten under by System Shock, and both robots are driven all the way across the arena, and slammed into an empty CPZ! During this, System Shock raises the wedge...and though his main focus was to flip Thanatos, he's tossed Under Pressure back onto his proper side! Liam mentally kicks himself as Martijn comes against him now, and this time System Shock can't get away! Under Pressure smacks against his foe's rear end; one of the wedges slides under the exposed side...but the other can't manage to get under the skirt, and now both bots are stuck together, both robots resting on one of Under Pressure's claws, the one that's under System Shock, and Samuel looks on with glee as Thanatos makes sure to spin up to absolute full speed, before finding System Shock's other skirt, just past Under Pressure's other claw and smashing into the skirt!
CRASH!!!
Which rips it clean off! Under Pressure drops its pressure and drives forward, System Shock unable to find any traction on the ground but now being released tries to drive away, but Under Pressure continues its advance on System Shock's rear end and manages to trap it against the arena wall. The rear spikes of System Shock finally come into play and try to puncture Under Pressure's front end and hopefully push the robot out of the grip, but nope, they're not doing a damn thing, and now Martijn has the game in the bag! The pointy claws come in now...oh, but one of them is bent slightly! Thanatos' work? Quite possibly, but Under Pressure can't seem to use its piercers properly now as they're not piercing that armour of System Shock! Could be the armour, though, but it's definitely not working now, so what can it do? Easy guess: go for the pit, which it does, and for all its excellent work, System Shock is the first to exit this fight as Under Pressure sends it down the pit, and Liam shakes his head.
However, there is a Thanatos needing seeing to, and Under Pressure comes against the low spinner as Samuel directs his robot away from the incoming crusher. However it's invertible that they will meet, and Martijn is just coming too fast for Samuel to avoid him, so Thanatos turns and moves sideways...
CRASH!!!
The right thing to do, obviously! Another dent appears on Under Pressure's right side claw as it's spun across the arena, yet Samuel sees his own bot fly across the arena for what must be at least the 10th time tonight, and he's not feeling too happy about the amount of airtime he's getting. However time is ticking down in this match and Under Pressure really is under pressure to pit his opponent quickly...
10...9...8...7...
Under Pressure flies across the arena as Thanatos moves away to spin up, but Martijn is just too fast. A bit too fast as one of the claws bump against Thanatos and, while not quite getting under Thanatos, push it away.
6...5...4...
Thanatos actually tries to push back, but it's getting pushed away, and slides off the side of Under Pressure and pushes it that way.
3...2...1...
Under Pressure turns and pushes Thanatos - TOWARDS THE PIT!!! CAN HE -
CEASE!
DO IT - NO! Thanatos lands on top of System Shock too late, and the judges will have to decide! What a fight!

Eliminator 4 The Punisher vs. Nitro-Gene 5.0 vs. Spin Dash Unleashed
The Punisher is one of the new boys here, taking most of its body shape from Bigger Brother, and its weapon and srimech from Warhead. That said weapon can be adjusted to hit at different heights, and it has decent armour. The baseplate not so much, and it's not the most powerful robot. Has the time come for The Punisher's repentance? ;D
Nitro-Gene 5.0 is kinda new but has had some glory in the main Crash & Burn 3 major. It competed last time with version 4.0, but got knocked out in Round 1. It's got a powerful flipping arm, good armour, and power through overvolted S28-400 motors, plus it's invertible. The clearance under the skirts can be exploited though. Will Nitro-Gene need more time in the gene pool? ;D
Spin Dash Unleashed took 3rd place in the last tournament. It's still the same invertible 6WD rammer with a frontal sawblade on the bottom of the robot to tear at wheels. Its skirts protect it and it has some good armour. Nonetheless, it'll have a bit of a tough time manoeuvring around. Can Steven Spin Dash to win...cash? And more? ;D

The house robots performing their usual duties today are Triple Whamlet and Damocles.
3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!
Say goodbye to Round 1, and all 3 robots have said their goodbyes to their starting areas! Nitro-Gene and The Punisher make a beeline for the 3rd seed, who seems peturbed by this sudden gang-up on him and is crashed into immediately! Thing is, The Punisher's slammed into Spin Dash's sawblade, and it shaves some sparks off the blow while not really making much noise. Nitro-Gene however is going to make some noise and slides the flipper under Spin Dash while it's busy, sending it careening into an empty CPZ...not really what Paul had in mind, but mayhem's on the way as Triple Whamlet screams out of the CPZ at the side, barreling both The Punisher and Nitro-Gene aside as it slams into Steven's machine before it can make a move away from the danger zone, and collecting it on the scoop starts to mercilessly pound and hack it with the axes! Now that's definitely what Paul had in mind, but what Lewis has in mind is exposed parts, and that's what he wants! Nitro-Gene turns much too late!
CRASH!
That side skirt's not looking too good, but it's not completely off either; Lewis brushing the bowl up against it again is unable to rip it off and now the bowl's stopped entirely on the skirt. Nitro-Gene responds to this by turning and sliding the flipping arm under the bowl, finally gaining enough leverage as it roars forward to properly toss The Punisher...and toss is what he does! That must have been a good 10 feet from the look of it, and ouch! The Punisher lands straight onto the bowl, upside-down and unable to get away from Nitro-Gene as Paul presses his luck and goes to the arena wall...it's good! The impressive-looking newcomer doesn't have a chance to shine as it sails over the fence and onto the camera tracks, and Lewis sighs at his fairly disappointing end. However, Paul's not out of the woods yet. Spin Dash Unleashed has finally gotten away from Triple Whamlet, with a badly dented top and possibly a punctured tire as it's moving awkwardly, yet is coming in on the flipperbot quickly! Nitro-Gene doesn't wait for any seances, but goes for the gold and slams straight into the sawblade straight away!
CRASH!
Now the sawblade makes noise, but it's not done well for Steven at all, as Spin Dash has been sent up onto the flipping arm of Nitro-Gene, and Paul takes him straight back into the waiting axes of Triple Whamlet, who resumes whacking the crap out of Spin Dash without hesitation! Nitro-Gene backs all the way over towards the pit release button...and gets nailed by the arena saws. ;D BZZT! Whoa! Nitro-Gene gets flung a bit by them! It has, however, almost sent Nitro-Gene flying into the pit release button, so he gets there quicker thanks to the saws, and the pit opens...slowly...slowly...there, opened. ;D Triple Whamlet...seems to be having trouble bringing the axes back down...has our house robot used up his CO2 supply already? Nevertheless, it looks like Spin Dash has been neatly tenderized...or not. ;D There are now a few holes in even the Hardox amongst all the major dents in the top panel, and there is definitely some tire damage too, but incredibly the sawblade is still spinning, and at full speed too! Steve did a good job on the weapon reliability, I must say, but how can he use it now? Triple Whamlet shoves Spin Dash Unleashed away from the CPZ, only for Steve to get greeted by an incoming Nitro-Gene as it stuffs into the saw, the angle of the flipper deflecting the blow in a drizzle of sparks as it fires, Spin Dash sent high over top of Triple Whamlet...and gone! That is some power! Steven can't believe it as his machine crashes outside of the CPZ on the camera tracks, and Nitro-Gene gains a round higher than it did last time as Paul punches the air in delight!
