Round 1, Eliminator 2 Baldur Gamma (21) vs. *69 vs. Noo Monsoon vs. Return of Feedback From Geddinton in Northamponshire, seeded number 21, Baldur Gamma! Defeated feared robot Mass Disctruction Ultimate 4 in head-to-head combat! Be afraid, spinners!
Melissa: The MDU killer! What's your strategy?
Alex: Nothing much, just ram stuff. Got quite a bit of armour and some decent drive so we should be okay.
Melissa: Not worried?
Alex: The only thing that really worries me is opponents' good driving, haha.
Melissa: Ha...Any improvements thus far?
Alex: If it's not broken, don't fix it. Right, Aaron? If you're watching, that is.
Melissa: He might well be.
Made to be the most undamageable robot, the 21st seed has a 5cm armourment in its lifting scoop, and more Hardox armour elsewhere. Can push, can shove, but it has a great ground clearance around the sides and rear leaving it prone to a good flipping. Baldur Delta, anyone? ;D
C&B1: Did not compete. C&B2: Sent out NSBFR-X in Round 1, then after a titanic struggle threw Mass Disctruction Ultimate 4 over the arena wall in Round 2, before the Heat Final saw him bow down to Cyclone Force 2.5.
From Kelvedon, *69! Ah...please don't call me, I'm not at home!
Melissa: Looking powerful there.
Martyn: Got a very powerful spinner here, hoping to knock out some robots.
Melissa: Well let me tell you right now...you are up against 3 very dangerous spinner-killers: 21th seed Baldur Gamma, Noo Monsoon, and Return of Feedback. How do you feel about that?
Martyn: Well I wish you wouldn't have told me that...
Melissa: Sorry about that, but it is a heads-up.
Martyn: I'll have mine up, don't worry.
A five-pointed star shape...in a full-body-spinner. It's scary powerful as well, powered by a Lynch motor (LEM200) on 60v, and it has Hardox armour as well...and LEM130 drive! Possibly overweight? That doesn't appear to be the weakness, which reads 'nights with no stars'. I begin to see a cloudy sky for you...
C&B1: Did not compete. C&B2: (as Star 69) Helped Cacodemon take out 11th seeds Wedga Revo 2.0, but Tengu VII destroyed it in Round 2.
From Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, Noo Monsoon! It's Monsoon season again, folks! Batten the hatches!
Melissa: What are you hoping to do out there?
Daniel: Ram stuff, that's what! ;D
Melissa: That is a mean-looking machine you have there.
Daniel: Why thank you. And we're going to be mean. Very mean.
Melissa: Lean, green, and mean?
Daniel: Everything except the lean and green part.
Melissa: Hahahaha!
1.5cm of HDPE covers this 6WD beast, the LEM200s are run at 60v, and so Captain Dan tells us it can produce over a hundred horsepower! Ha ha! I'll believe that when I see it, if you don't mind! It does, however, have a great number of spikes to bludgeon opponents; it can be flipped easily though.
C&B1: Did not compete. C&B2: Did not compete. From Holland, Return of Feedback! Newcomer, rammer, all of the above? Give us your...feedback!
Melissa: So, who's your target?
Alex: Anybody who's not named 'Daniel Stickler' or 'Noo Monsoon'.
Melissa: And the house robots?
Alex: Who cares about them, I want Baldur and that Star to die.
Melissa: And your feedback on the matter?
Alex: ...is that supposed to be a joke?
Melissa: Maybe.
Alex: Right...
This fast brick has two set-ups, the one being used today is the wedge set-up. Nice titanium and Hardox armouring, top speed of 18mph. It does, however, have a wide ground clearance which flippers and lifters could take advantage of...the feedback given: I see one lifter in this fight. ;D
C&B1: Did not compete. C&B2: Did not compete. Roboteers, stand by... Teams...Alex MacWilliams and Daniel Stickler in Booth 1, and Martyn Forsyth and Alex Holt in Booth 2. House robots are Sir Killalot with the claw and lance, beefy 280kg of trampling knight, and alongside him, we have the damaging claws and spike of Exa-Gore-Ic Evo.

ACTIVATE! And a quick start is given! Baldur Gamma immediately goes for the pit release button, while Return of Feedback and Noo Monsoon attack *69. Martyn successfully manages to knock off one of Noo Monsoon's spikes, but Return of Feedback wedges it as the star stops spinning and takes him towards the wall. Oof. Pegged in there, as Noo Monsoon heads for Baldur Gamma. Baldur Gamma does not relent but proudly moves in to meet him head-on! Baldur is immediately forced back as they collide, but the lifter comes to save him as Noo Monsoon gets lifted into the air. Return of Feedback drives backwards and tackles Baldur, causing him to drop Noo Monsoon, and backslams Baldur into the arena wall itself. *69 spins up its 'shell' as Noo Monsoon attacks Baldur's rear end while Feedback holds it there, spearing it, but unfortunately releasing Baldur from the grip of Feedback. The 21st seed wheels around and has a go at Feedback now, as both Alexs meet in a frontal collision. Holt is the more successful as MacWilliams sees his machine go belly up thanks to the scoop, but Noo Monsoon comes to the rescue by slamming Baldur's side with the spikes, and charging him straight into Sir Killalot's CPZ, into the belly of the knight of the realm! Return of Feedback, however, decides to renew its attack on *69, who now travels towards the inverted rammer. This doesn't look good...
CRASH!!! Oh dear, it definitely isn't! Martyn smiles as the inverted wedge of Feedback is nearly torn straight off the hinge, but still hanging on! That is great power courtesy of that spinning...star, and it's getting back up to speed! Feedback would have charged back in, but an escaping Baldur Gamma thwarts the effort by charging into the side of Feedback and throwing it over with the scoop! Noo Monsoon however is in hot pursuit, and spears the rear end of Baldur, driving it into the wall again. Feedback gets away quickly, Sir Killalot shifting irritably, and makes another effort towards *69, who does not seem to have been damaged itself by that impact! Without regards to its wedge, it plunges into the shooting star!
CRASH!!! And regrets it instantly! The wedge now IS off and clattered in Sir Killalot's CPZ, who seems to be enheartened by this, picking up the wedge and spinning round with it. Feedback however isn't dead by a longshot, and powers into *69 while it's stopped, shoving it across the arena and into the arena wall again. Noo Monsoon meanwhile has had to tables turned on him, as Baldur has recovered, hardly even receiving much damage from those spikes thanks to the Hardox armouring, and now getting to Noo Monsoon's side, lifts it up and over, and it's right near the pit! Daniel is horrified and tries to abuse the forward and reverse controls, but the wheels are already over the pit and next second later, Noo Monsoon has met the bottom of the pit, smoke obscuring its now sad-looking form.
Impressed with itself, the 21st seed now has another go at Feedback, and getting under the rear throws MacWilliams' machine on top of *69, who moves across the arena. BZZT! The arena saws come into play and sparks litter the underside of *69 as it is popped up, Feedback also, as the 21st seed begins to shove both of them towards the pit. *69 fights back, but the scoop denies any chance of escape and moments later *69 is in the pit as well...on top of Feedback, who fell off of *69 and into the pit first! Martyn breathes a sigh of relief, as Holt smirks and prepares for the next round.
CEASE! The Monsoon's over, time to come home, Danny! At least the Feedback wasn't recurring for you. ;D
Baldur Gamma (21) & *69 advance to Round 2!
